Chapter 203: Chapter 203: You Are A Talented Actress

The next day, Eddie returned to the film to shoot her final scene in The White Love Song. According to the script, after Lola hit Susan, Lola was sentenced to twenty years in prison. Initially, there was supposed to be a scene with Lola, but because of Sophia’s incident, it was deleted entirely from the script.

Just before Susan’s death, she wanted to donate her heart to Abbey because she had a congenital heart condition. She wanted Abbey to live a happy and healthy life. There were many difficult and demanding scenes in the film, but this one was the most crucial.

Eddie was so nervous as she knew the importance of her last role. After finishing her final scene, she felt dissatisfied and asked to redo it. Director Lane agreed with her. In the room, Susan was hooked up to a ventilator, and she was lying in the hospital bed looking lifeless. She was pale, and tears started to form in the corner of her eyes.

Abbey opened the door and started to come in, hearing the sound of footsteps Susan opened her eyes, Abbey was looking at her with tears in her eyes, "I don’t understand, why are donating your heart to me?"

A faint smile pulled the corner of her mouth, and she barely had the strength to move her hands to communicate with Abbey, "Abbey, we have never been able to talk over these past few years, and there isn’t any time now."

Abbey took a deep breath, and the tears were streaming down her cheeks, "Please, don’t say that.

This was the first time, and Abbey regretted what she had done. Susan had approached her many times wanting to talk, but she had always refused. How could she have known that she would never get the chance now?

"Abbey, don’t cry, I believe this is my destiny. You lack a healthy heart, and I lack sound. I can leave this world in peace, knowing that you have my heart."

Abbey remembered her attitude towards Susan and cried out, "I’m sorry, Susan, it’s all my fault. I have always been jealous of you. I’m a horrible person, and I don’t think I can forgive myself for treating you this way."

A slight smile appeared on Susan’s pale face, "Don’t ever apologize to me, Abbey. This is our fate, and this is how our lives are supposed to be."

They had lived each other’s lives, witnessed each other’s fate, and then fell in love with the same man. When she dies, her heart will be removed and put into Abbey — allowing her to fulfill her dreams and be able to experience life the way Susan wanted her to.

"Abbey, I want you to take my heart, don’t look back. Live your life the way it meant to be. Promise me, okay?"

Abbey took Susan’s hand and nodded, her expression solemn, and her gaze was locked on Susan, "My life is your life," she said. Susan seemed tired and slowly closed her eyes. She dropped her hand slowly as the strength seemed to drain from her body.

Abbey sat there beside her with a blank look on her face, and she didn’t want to let, she didn’t want to say goodbye. She laid over Susan’s body, crying. As the camera zoomed in, Susan’s eyes were closed, with one last tear falling down her cheek. frёeωebɳovel.com

"That’s a wrap!" Director Lane shouted. This last scene was rather emotional, and everyone stood around watching with tears in their eyes. Eddie opened her eyes and winked mischievously at Queenie.

Queenie also wiped the tears from her face, smiled, and reached out to help Eddie get out of the bed. Just then, someone from the staff shouted, "Let’s congratulate Eddie, that was an extraordinary performance!"

Before Eddie could respond, Director Lane brought her over flowers, and there was a round of applause. Surprised, Eddie stood there in a daze holding the bouquet of lilies. Rhoda smiled at her and took several pictures. Eddie was touched by the standing ovation and said, "Thank you all."

According to the convention of showbiz, after the production was finished, the directors would hold a small ceremony in celebration for each actor and actress. As she had only been in small productions and had small roles, this was the first time she would be attending such a ceremony.

Eddie looked at Director Lane and said, "Director Lane, thank you for being so patient and kind with me these last few months."

Though one of the main reasons why Director Lane’s attitude towards Eddie was due to Stuart, Eddie was still grateful. Director Lane thought that The White Love Song was one of the most difficult movies he had ever shot. Right from the start of the filming, there were all kinds of problems that seemed to occur.

They mainly all involved Eddie. First, there was the fight with Zoe Anna and then the fire where she almost died. Because of this drama, Director Lane was under a lot of pressure. Finally, the film had come to an end, and now he could relax.

He was very impressed with Eddie, "You’re a talented actress. I am so pleased with your acting skills."

He stepped eagerly forward to shake her hand with a smile of joy and satisfaction on his face, "When it’s in the theatres, it is going to become a massive box office hit."

Eddie smiled shyly, "It’s all because of you, Director Lane, and your contribution."

"For my next film, I am going to recommend that you play one of the leading roles strongly. I can’t express my appreciation and gratitude."

Several pictures were taken with the leading actors, actresses, and Director Lane. After they were done, some of the crew members knew this movie would make Eddie famous, so they got her to sign her autograph, and then it was time for everyone to leave. Queenie left with Eddie, "It hasn’t been easy, but it’s finally over." She sounded relieved.

"Yeah, it’s hard to believe it has only been a few months. The time seemed to fly right by."

Eddie was thinking about Queenie and Todd’s relationship and wondered if she knew what Todd had done to Sophia. She wanted to tell her, but Queenie seemed to be so happy that she decided it was better to leave it alone. She didn’t want to upset her with any bad memories from the past.

As Eddie was just about to get in the car, she hugged Queenie, "Queenie, I can’t thank you enough for looking out for me the past couple of months. You are an amazing actress, and I have learned so much from you. I am going to miss you."

Queenie gently patted her on the back. She said, laughter in her voice, "I have a hunch we’ll have another chance to work together."

Eddie laughed too, "I can’t wait. I am looking forward to it."

As they said goodbye, Eddie got in the car and prepared to return to the Royal Villa.
