Chapter 113: Chapter 113: Finally Realized

It was from Stuart Yates. Shouldn’t he be waiting for her in the car? She froze, surprised by seeing him as well as the warm shock running through her. Her grandfather saw her reaction and started to tease her, "Little girl, are you not going to let us in?"

When he saw his lovely granddaughter, his heart was filled with so much happiness. He was a little upset because it had been a long time since she visited him last. The sight of her made him forget all about it.

He was pleased that she brought her boyfriend with her. He looked quite well, and grandpa couldn’t be any happier for her. Edie had finally realized that when she moved out of the way, she had hurt herself on the door.

She cried out, and Stuart moved to her quickly. He was gently holding her body. Feeling the warmth from his body, her face flushed with pleasure immediately. Stuart held her slim waist tightly and pulled her towards him.

He helped her stand up, and Edie raised her eyes to look at him. His smile began in his eyes, then touched his lips, and finally, the dimple appeared. She almost felt as though she could melt just by his look; there was so much passion between them both.

Seeing the look that they have given one another, grandpa smiled. They were such a lovely couple. The old man wanted to hold their hands and ask them when they would get married and give him a great-grandson.

Remembering Victoria’s words, Edie got worried. Raising her eyes, she looked at him, "Why did you come in?"

"It would have been rude if I didn’t come in to visit since I was right outside."

Grandpa seemed to remember something and tapped her on the back, blaming her angrily, "What were you thinking about? It is so rude of you to ask him to wait outside. What were your plans? To invite him to my funeral?"

Feeling quite hurt, she looked very sympathetic, "Grandpa, that is not true. I can explain it."

"How? You are married, and you didn’t even tell me. You are really grown up. How could you make this decision without talking to me first?"

"You’ve told my grandpa?" she stared at Stuart with confusion on her face. Stuart raised his eyebrows without saying a word.

"Why didn’t you talk to me first.....?"

Before she finished talking, Edie felt another tap on the back. Grandpa was really upset with her, "Talk to me and tell me why you didn’t tell me about the marriage. When were you planning on telling me? When I was dead?" While he was saying this, he kept tapping her on the back. freēwēbηovel.c૦m

"I am sorry grandpa, I know how to hurt you must feel," Edie shouted out. She knew it was her mistake, and she felt guilty. Stuart held her in his arms, protecting her from the tapping.

Grandpa frowned, and he raised his eyes, staring at Stuart. Holding Edie in front of the old man, he didn’t feel embarrassed at all. His only intentions were to protect her from harm, "Grandpa, I would feel bad if you hurt her."

Edie was shocked. She never expected Stuart to say something like this to her grandpa. She was quite upset, and she should have said something herself. She rested against his body, and she looked at her, grandpa, "Grandpa, he felt bad, and you have hurt me."

She didn’t know whether Stuart felt bad or not, but she was sure how she felt. The old man was so strong. She couldn’t explain why, but as he tapped on her back, she thought her back was numb.

Looking at them, you could see the light in his eyes. Edie felt he wanted to say something. She became worried that her grandpa would find something.

The old man didn’t say anything. He took his wheelchair to the front of the desk. He took out an antique, delicate box, and he asked, "Edie, is it yours?" Edie nodded immediately, "Yes, it’s the tea set we got for you. We have been quite busy these days. I haven’t had the time to visit you. I got a big part of a film, did you see me on the T.V.?"

Grandpa got upset again, "You are my granddaughter. I don’t have to see you on T.V."

It had been quite a long time since they got together. After talking with each other for a while, grandpa felt thirsty, and Edie made some tea with the tea set.

Staring at Stuart, grandpa asked, "You are Mr. Yates. What do your parents do? How many members are in your family? Where do you live?"

"Grandpa, stop. You will scare him away...." hearing her grandpa’s question, Edie almost dropped all the tea on the ground. He was the CEO of the L.N. group. Who would dare to talk to him this way? Would he get mad at her grandpa?

Pitifully, before Edie finished talking, grandpa turned around and asked her to shut up. Seeing his eyes, Edie closed her mouth and stared at Stuart with her innocent eyes. She had known him for quite a while, and he didn’t mention one word about his family to her.

She did ask him several times, but he never told her any details. Therefore, she gave up on asking him. Since her grandfather asked, it would make it hard for Stuart not to answer. She hoped that he wouldn’t get angry.

She didn’t expect Stuart to say it so calmly, "Grandpa, I am the only son in my family. My father passed away when I was very young. My family now only has two people in it, my mother and me. My mother is doing business in the U.K., and she is not in the city. I am the one who takes care of my family’s companies."

Stuart replied with humbleness and calmness. The Old Greg immediately proposed a sharp question: "Our Edie is naive and doesn’t know how to speak. She has not said anything to the family about this. Did you not tell your family, or did you secretly get married to Edie?"
