Chapter 109: Chapter 109: I Came Here with My Wife

Stuart was behind her and saw her disappear inside the house. He was outraged. His figure was immersed in the darkness. He squinted, falling deep into thought.

He wanted to know who made this call, making her isolated from him so abruptly. The answer appeared in front of him. She was wearing delicate makeup and a limited version of a Prada dress. She had a disdainful smile at the corner of her mouth.

Edie told her that she got married. Therefore, she had someone do some investigating into the situation. But in the end, she didn’t even know who she married. Victoria got more curious. She assumed the guy was just a man who didn’t have a driver. It wouldn’t be difficult to find out who he was.

She walked out and planned to take a careful look at him. She really wanted to know what kind of man Edie married. However, before walking out of the house, she saw a light reflected by the surface of the car. freewёbnoνel.com

She hesitated, and then Victoria comforted herself, "He must have rented it to get respect. That bitch couldn’t get a good man," She walked out the door feeling so proud of herself, and she totally froze. Stuart was standing in front of her.

With his attractive appearance, nonparallel temper, and born elegance, he attracted her at first sight. She could never find any of these features on any other man in the world. Several days ago, she met this guy. She spared no effort to see him, but she failed.

As soon as she saw him, she got incredibly excited, "You..." All she wanted was to throw herself into his arms. It took a lot of effort to control herself.

Showing a lady’s smile, she walked towards him. She reached out to hold his arm and Stuart pulled away. She couldn’t even touch the collar of his clothes. He was appalled by her entire existence.

Stuart didn’t cover his disgusting look on his face. He stared at her as if she was something dirty and said, "Disappear." His voice was cold and distant. Victoria had never been treated this way. Embarrassed, the smile on her face disappeared,

She thought it was understandable since he didn’t know who she was. If he treated all women gently, they would all have a crush on him. Victoria calmed down and showed an even gentler smile, "You came here to celebrate my grandpa’s birthday, right? Come right in, it’s this way. You may not know my name, and I am Victoria Greg."

Victoria was waiting for a reply from Stuart. She figured that with the position of Greg’s in the city and her identity, then he would take a different look at her. She was definitely mistaken.

Stuart didn’t even look at her. As far as he was concerned it was a waste of time. He almost sounded cruel, "I don’t care about who you are. I came here with my wife." Victoria couldn’t pretend to smile anymore. Her mouth was twitched with anger.

Did he get married? Victoria finally got control of herself. She remembered that she came out to have a meeting with Edie’s husband. She looked around, trying to find that man. But all she could see was this stunning man and that shining car parked in front of her house.

"Are you Edie’s husband?" She knew at that moment that he was, but she didn’t want to accept it. He looked at this vicious woman in front of him and answered, "Yes." He didn’t want to say no more than one word to her. He thought it was a waste of his breath.

After hearing this, Victoria felt jealous and envious. Why? Compared to Edie, no matter in what terms, including education, position, appearance, and as well as having a good family background. She was much better than her. Besides, Edie was still involved with Donald Lynch.

How could she get such a powerful and wealthy man? The best and unique man that she couldn’t find no matter how hard she tried. She had seen many men from wealthy families in her life. But no one could be compared to the man standing in front of her right now.

Everyone wanted to approach him. Victoria could never understand why such a man would choose to marry that useless bitch who had nothing. Before, it was Donald that was always there for her. Now, it was this god-like man who married her.

Every man in her life was utterly loyal to her. Why? What did she have that men wanted? Why was it possible for her to have what so many others wanted?

"Why did you marry that bitch? Do you have any idea how low she is? Have you heard how dirty a place she used to live? You don’t know her at all!" Victoria started cursing at him. She couldn’t help herself from shouting out.

Stuart raised his eyes and squinted. He had this dark light in his eyes. The light that looked like it was coming from hell.

"What did you say about my wife?" He was warning her. Victoria began to tremble with fear, and her eyes filled with tears. All the courage she got just now disappeared.

She was too ashamed to look him in the eyes. She opened her mouth, but nothing came out. She felt frightened. She felt scared. She was trembling to the bone.

With only a few words and a stare, the man in front of her made her feel the most fear she has ever felt in her life. As she stopped shouting, Stuart looked away.

He looked at Greg’s house, and he fell into deep thought. Though Edie didn’t want him to enter, all he could see was her pale face, and it kept popping in and out of his brain. He felt troubled.

What he had seen from Victoria, he assumed nobody in this house was kind-hearted. Could she handle it? Alone? He became more worried. Stuart had been fighting in the business field for many years, without experiencing any failure.

No matter what he had encountered, he handled it calmly. However, when it came to Edie, he always lost his rationale. All he wanted to do was to protect her, from all hurting. He didn’t prepare for a plan B.

Thinking for a while, he made the decision. He walked into Greg’s house. He ignored Victoria totally. Seeing this, she was horrified, "Edie refused you because of a call. Don’t you want to know who called her?"
