Chapter 1489: Dragons resonating (3)
When Hayase and Ao Kuang met, the two of them just looked at each other without a single word.
The expression on their faces showed that they recognized something familiar with each other. Well, other than the fact that they were both dragons and had the appearance of dragons.
It was more that they recognized that there was a deeper connection between them that came from their bloodlines.
Hayase was a Water Dragon and from the status that the system provided, Lin Fan knew that his bloodline was quite pure. As he grew stronger and stronger, he was able to see deeper and deeper into the bloodline that Hayase possessed.
It could be considered one of the purest bloodlines when it came to Water Dragons.
Only when it came to Ao Kuang, it might not be able to match up.
After all, the bloodline that Ao Kuang possessed was the True Dragon Bloodline.
Lin Fan wasn’t certain what the difference was between the two of them, but he guessed that something that was called the True Dragon Bloodline would certainly be more pure than the Water Dragon Bloodline.
It might even be the progenitor bloodline that the Water Dragon Bloodline came from.
After a long silence, it seemed like there was a reaction that came from Hayase.
There was a trace of greed that appeared in his eyes.
It was as if he wanted to take the bloodline that he felt from Ao Kuang for himself.
This simple emotion was enough to show that the bloodline that Hayase possessed was less pure than the one that Ao Kuang possessed. Otherwise, Hayase wouldn’t want Ao Kuang’s bloodline to refine his own.
At the very least, it seemed like there was something that suppressed this emotion. Even if there was this instinct that came from deep inside of Hayase, it seemed like it was being suppressed by the Love Gauge Taming.
Since they were both pets of his, there was this bond that was formed between them that restrained them from hurting each other.
However, this was actually part of what Lin Fan wanted to test.
In the end, it seemed like Ao Kuang lost interest in Hayase as it went into Lin Fan’s arms again and lowered its head as if it was going back to sleep.
Only Lin Fan didn’t let it go to sleep as he dropped it on the ground.
Ao Kuang looked up at him as if it had been betrayed by him and then it looked like it was pouting because of what Lin Fan did.
However, Lin Fan just said, "Go on, don’t just hang out by yourself. Go and make some friends."
Ao Kuang turned around to see the other pets that were coming over with curious looks.
When it saw them coming over, it suddenly flew up again and went over to Lin Fan’s shoulder before moving behind him. With the way that it was hanging to Lin Fan’s shoulder, it really seemed like it was hiding from the rest of the pets.
Lin Fan couldn’t help feeling a bit surprised when he saw this.
After all, Ao Kuang had the True Dragon Bloodline and could be considered the king of dragons. However, this king of dragons was acting like a shy child in front of all the new people that it met.
If it wasn’t for the bond that came from the Love Gauge Taming, then it was likely that Ao Kuang would have treated them with wariness like it did with Xiao Mu.
But it wasn’t as if Lin Fan would just let it act this way.
In the future, Ao Kuang would be working with all the pets, so it was best if it could get along with them.
Which was why Lin Fan pulled Ao Kuang out from behind him and pushed it towards the other pets. It was his way of encouraging Ao Kuang to go and interact with them even though it didn’t seem like Ao Kuang was willing.
The other pets didn’t seem to mind that Ao Kuang was acting this way.
In fact, it seemed like the other pets were very interested in Ao Kuang.
They had been a bit wary of it at first since they could feel the pressure that came from Ao Kuang’s bloodline. But seeing that I was with Ao Kuang, it put them much more at ease and they didn’t act the same way.
Once they overcame this wariness, it was only natural that they would be curious about what was giving them this sensation.
Ao Kuang acted like it didn’t care at first, but eventually it seemed like they got through to it as it started paying attention to the other pets. Though part of it seemed to be because of the Love Gauge Taming skill.
The Love Gauge Taming not only made it easier for Lin Fan to tame pets, it also made sure that they got along with each other. After all, it would be bad for Lin Fan if his pets were to go against each other.
The most interesting part of all of this was how Shiro treated Ao Kuang.
It was completely different from the way that she treated Hayase.
"Is it because Ao Kuang acts passively compared to Hayase?"
Shiro seemed like she was very interested in Ao Kuang as a dragon even though there was a dragon that normally hung around her and would have done anything that she wanted.
Though as he observed, Lin Fan could tell that there was something a bit different about all of this.
"So she likes them younger?" Lin Fan couldn’t help revealing a wry smile seeing this.
With the way that Shiro got closer to Ao Kuang, it was only natural that it would draw a reaction from Hayase.
Seeing that they were getting closer like this, Hayase didn’t waste any time coming over to get in between them. It was just that the only thing that he got from Shiro was a glare that made him back down in the end.
This was the difference between Hayase and Ao Kuang.
One of them pushed excessively while the other didn’t seem to care at all.
The one that didn’t put in any effort was the one that actually won Shiro’s attention.
Since it wasn’t as if Hayase could do anything to Shiro, the only one that he could take his frustration out on was Ao Kuang.
But before he could do that, Lin Fan stepped forward to stop them.
Hayase didn’t look happy about this, but there was a reason that Lin Fan stepped forward to stop them.
Lin Fan turned to Ao Kuang and asked, "Can you give me a drop of blood?"
Ao Kuang looked surprised and a bit confused, but it still listened to Lin Fan’s request and drew out a drop of blood for him.
Lin Fan didn’t take the drop of blood for himself and instead directed it over to where Hayase was. He sent the drop of blood over to Hayase and then it just floated there in the air in front of him.
Hayase could feel the aura that was coming from the drop of blood, but he was also confused as to what Lin Fan wanted him to do.
It wasn’t as if this drop of blood alone would be enough to make any substantial changes for him.
"Just see if there’s anything that you can gain from it. Your bloodlines should be different since it comes from two different places, so I’m not sure if it will even help you." Lin Fan explained in the end.
Hayase looked at Ao Kuang for a bit before admitting that Lin Fan was correct about this.
Ao Kuang was a completely different kind of dragon compared to him.
Hayase was the magical kind of dragon that had a large body and wings, Ao Kuang was the cultivation kind of dragon that had a single long tube shaped with claws on both sides.
Biologically speaking, they should be completely different kinds of creatures even if they were both called dragons.
So even if Ao Kuang was a True Dragon by the cultivation continent’s standard, that didn’t mean that it would be the same on the magic continent.
However, there was no denying the sensation that Hayase had felt earlier.
That instinct that filled him was one that came from his bloodline, which meant that there should be some kind of resonance between him and Ao Kuang. frёeweɓηovel.coɱ
It was just that Hayase still doubted that a single drop of blood would have been enough to test anything. A single drop would barely have any essence of the bloodline, so it would seem like a waste.
After a moment of hesitation, Hayase still reached out to absorb this drop of blood.
Regardless of what happened, it was a fact that his instincts were telling him to take this drop of blood.
It still meant that there had to be something useful to him if he were to take this drop of blood.
Once Hayase took it, there was this strange feeling that came over his body.
He couldn’t help falling to the ground once he absorbed that drop of blood.
The other pets seemed worried about Hayase when they saw this, but Lin Fan stopped them from approaching him.
He could sense the aura around Hayase changing, but he knew that it wasn’t a bad thing.
After all, he could see Hayase’s current status through the system’s status window.
He knew that there was some kind of qualitative change that was happening to Hayase.
