Chapter 585: Chapter 584: We Both Need Time (8)
From the numbers on the passbook, it was clear that this five thousand yuan was saved by Aunt Sienna little by little by living frugally, and it was not easy to save.
Bella looked at these numbers line by line, her eyes reddening again.
She didn’t plan to use this five thousand yuan, only keeping it with her as the last bit of thought Aunt Sienna left her.
Bella packed her things, dragging two suitcases as she left.
She reached the orphanage gate, locked the door, and placed the key under a stone by the entrance according to her agreement with the landlord.
Bella dragged her suitcase and took one last look at the orphanage gate before turning to leave.
From now on, there was no longer an Evergreen Orphanage.
Bella dragged her suitcase back to the apartment and cleaned it thoroughly before calling Judy Zimmerman to ask her to drive her to the filming set of "Life and Death" to report for work.
Having taken so many days off, Bella bought lots of food and drink to bring to the set. Everyone knew she had to leave because a senior family member had passed away and understood completely.
"I’m sorry for holding up progress and troubling everyone to work overtime with me." Bella sincerely apologized as she distributed the items to the crew members.
A crew member asked with concern, "Bella, have all the family matters been settled?"
"Everything has been taken care of," Bella said.
"Our condolences. You could have returned a couple of days later, no need to rush." Everyone knew her leave was supposed to last until the day after tomorrow, and they were worried since she had only handled the funeral yesterday and returned to the set today.
"I’m fine now." Bella shook her head, smiled, and said, "You all get busy, I’ll go find Senior Quinn and the others."
With the film starting, every delay was a costly expense, so Bella couldn’t keep postponing the shooting schedule.
After giving out items to the crew members and Director Simons, Bella went to the dressing room to find Archer Quinn.
Archer Quinn, who had a night scene scheduled, was in the dressing room. Seeing Bella enter, he paused for a moment, then immediately stood up and approached her, saying, "Bella, why didn’t you call me when you arrived?"
"I knew you were busy, so I didn’t want to disturb you." Bella smiled, holding up the bag in her hand. "Freshly squeezed grapefruit juice. Would you like it?"
"Yes, I would."
Archer took the juice from her hand while Bella handed the assistant nearby another bag, "This is for you guys. I wasn’t sure what everyone preferred, so I bought a bit of everything."
"Thank you, Bella." Everyone collectively smiled and thanked her.
Looking at her, Archer asked, "Bella, do you plan to return to filming tomorrow? Is everything settled?"
"There really isn’t much to handle." Bella forced a smile. "Instead of staying at home and overthinking, it’s better to come back to work and divert my attention. Besides, the shooting schedule has already been delayed because of my leave, so there’s no reason to continue the leave once everything’s settled."
"That’s not an issue; I’m concerned about your emotions and your health..." Archer Quinn’s eyes were filled with worry, "Are you really okay?"
The others didn’t know about Bella’s possible pregnancy, but Archer was well aware, making him more concerned than others.
She had just handled a funeral and returned to filming. What if her emotions were unstable and affected her pregnancy?
