Chapter 541: Chapter 540: Trying to Take Advantage of Her
Damian Sinclair looked at the pair on the other side, his fingers tightening around the wine glass involuntarily.
The door to the private room opened from the outside, and the producer stood up and approached, saying, "These are all friends I know, let’s have fun together."
A few well-built male and female models followed the producer in to greet everyone. Most people in the room were aware of their purpose for being there, and they all eagerly introduced themselves.
Some who particularly enjoyed playing were already pulling people over to play games with them, getting quite involved.
Director Simons, holding a wine glass, approached and said, "Archer, why are you stuck in the corner? Come over here; I have something to tell you."
Archer Quinn reluctantly replied, "Bella, I’ll head over there for a bit."
"Go ahead, you don’t need to keep me company here," Bella Acker nodded. She was also aware that many people in the crew wanted to establish a good relationship with Archer Quinn, but because he was always talking to her, others didn’t feel comfortable approaching him to join in the fun.
Archer Quinn was pulled away by Director Simons, leaving Bella Acker alone in the corner.
She quietly turned her head to glance towards Damian Sinclair, noticing that two recently arrived models were sitting on either side of him, each holding a drink and toasting with him. Whatever those two models said, they laughed coquettishly as a group.
Damian Sinclair continuously paid attention to Bella Acker’s activities, noticing that she finally glanced in his direction, he deliberately raised his wine glass and clinked it with a female model beside him.
He seemed to have said something, causing the female model to playfully retort, her eyes filled with tenderness as she glanced at him, before finally raising her wine glass to drink. However, even while drinking, her eyes remained fixed on Damian Sinclair.
If those eyes could materialize, the female model’s gaze might have stripped Damian Sinclair’s clothes off.
Bella Acker retracted her gaze, her hands tightly clasping together on her lap.
They had no relationship anymore; whoever he chose to spend time with was no longer her concern.
Thinking this in her heart, yet seeing him with other women still brought her pain and jealousy. But she had already lost the right to be jealous.
Bella Acker lowered her head, hiding the sadness on her face.
"Why doesn’t big sister join in on the fun?" Suddenly, the sofa beside her sank as a boy with a rather adorable look sat down next to her.
Bella Acker was startled and, before saying anything, instinctively shifted aside, "I don’t feel too well, I’m not suitable for joining in, I don’t want to dampen everyone’s spirits."
"Is big sister catching a cold?" The boy didn’t mind her evasion and moved a bit closer to her again.
Bella Acker awkwardly shifted again, "I’m fine. Please don’t come any closer, be careful of catching my cold."
"I’m not afraid." The boy continued to move closer, this time so much so that he was nearly leaning against Bella Acker. "If catching your cold would make you happy, then go ahead and pass it to me. I’m a man; I can handle a cold."
"Hey... that’s not it..." Bella Acker shifted further aside, feeling both awkward and a bit frustrated, "Could you not get so close? I’m not very comfortable being this close to an unfamiliar guy."
"Why?" The boy pretended to be naive, "Is it because you don’t know how to play? It’s alright; I can teach you." Saying this, he leaned forward, picking up the drink Bella Acker had placed on the table and handing it to her while raising his right arm, preparing to drape it over her shoulders.
