Chapter 1092: Chapter 474: Skaven Ratmen Battle the Vampire Count
"Well, at least you have some integrity and conscience."
"In this line of work, we value our reputation. A lack of principles means there’s no trust."
The two continued walking in the marsh for three hours.
"You and your Horned Eagle Beast are far too conspicuous." Soon, the bounty hunter spotted five Spear Storm Rats from Skaven patrolling nearby, accompanied by two Plague Monks and a Skaven Dimensional Stone Machine Gunner. Brunner calculated for a long time and realized that due to Angerong’s large size and his mount, it was impossible for them to pass without alerting the patrol.
The bounty hunter snorted coldly, "We need a different infiltration strategy."
"A different one? Tell me, what do you plan to do?" Angerong took a pair of axes off his back.
"Take them out, so no one knows we slipped through." Brunner smiled, pulling out an eight-shot rune revolver: "Angerong, you’ll need to cover my back. It’s difficult to watch behind me when I’m focused."
"You plan to eliminate them all in one go?" Angerong nodded in agreement.
"Watch this." The bounty hunter nodded with pride and began his calculations—distance, wind, lighting.
Once calculated, Brunner’s body flew like an arrow from a bow, darting over 30 meters in a blink, then rolling to a stop near the patrol.
The bounty hunter came face-to-face with the patrol.
"Enemy attack! Enemy attack!" The Skaven Ratman patrol immediately spotted the bounty hunter, and the patrol leader squeaked sharply, "Enemy! Enemy! Skaven! Gogo!"
"Aahhhh!!" The Plague Monk let out a piercing scream as the Dimensional Stone Machine Gunner raised the machine gun, and the Storm Rats charged at Brunner with their long halberds.
In the eyes of the bounty hunter, filled with the fierce spirit of battle, his heart boiled with hot blood and ferocity. Facing the Skaven patrol, the strongest bounty hunter in Tiriel raised the eight-shot revolver and pulled the trigger.
"Noon has arrived."
"Bang bang bang bang bang bang bang bang~"
The gun fired, eight times in rapid succession.
The marshland fell back into silence.
Eight Skaven Ratmen dropped dead on the spot, each one with a smoking, bloody hole precisely in the forehead.
Eight bullets, eight Ratmen, all headshots.
The battle was over.
"Is this your skill? I have to say, not bad." Angerong put away his axes.
"Just basic skills." The bounty hunter furrowed his brows: "If I’m right, the battlefield should be nearby!"
"Let’s move!"
Sure enough, after another thirty minutes, Angerong and Brunner arrived near a massive swamp basin.
A terrifying war was unfolding.
"It seems the Undead and the Ratmen are fiercely vying for something here, though I have no idea what they’re after." Lying behind a slope, the bounty hunter looked seriously at Angerong, who seemed eager, saying, "But no matter what, we shouldn’t get involved in this war; it won’t benefit us."
"The Undead, the Ratmen, I want to slaughter them all." Angerong muttered, "Okay, perhaps you’re right."
Tens of thousands of Clan Rats and Slave Rats surged onto the battlefield, the Skaven Ratmen army forming up on one side of the basin to face the advance of the Undead Army. A Skaven Warlord riding a Storm Demon Rat loudly commanded the troops.
In the Ratman camp, three Plague Claw Catapults hurled toxic plague shells into the Undead ranks, while four Dimensional Lightning Cannons charged with dimensional stones.
The number of Skaven Ratmen was terrifyingly vast; even as a Genetic Primarch, Angerong couldn’t estimate how many Ratmen had joined the fray. From unknown tunnels or inside marshland forests, legions of Ratmen continued to join the battle. Swarms of Slave Rats and Clan Rats were followed by hordes of Storm Rat Legions and Plague Monk Legions.
Rat Giants and Storm Demon Rats were pouring into battle, the shells from Plague Claw Catapults and spells from Plague Priests turning the entire battlefield into a worldly hell covered in Rat Plague, which would have succeeded if their opponents were mere mortals.
But their opponents were the Undead.
Facing the fearsome onslaught, Vampire Count Manfred von Castain opted for an assault. He and his Undead Army became unstoppable under powerful spells, dozens of Corpse Transport Vehicles burning with green ghostly flames rampaged through, Tomb Ghouls and Tomb Evil Ghosts wielded staves, sending small Ratmen flying, while the Giant Bloodthirsty Bat Wolf shredded a Rat Giant to pieces.
The Undead feared not the plague, these creatures who had already died could not die again, advancing mindlessly through the toxic fog, crushing all Ratmen in their path. Zombies and Skeleton Warriors formed a wave of Undead, Desolate Grave Guard Legions established solid lines, fracturing any Ratmen resistance.
"Nagash’s gaze!" Manfred chanted a spell, releasing a powerful beam that destroyed two Dimensional Lightning Cannons. Then, the Vampire Count summoned a purple Dark Sun.
