Chapter 200: The wrong time
"Everyone else had a mother who was a woman with long or short hair, and they said only women could give birth, but... Papa gave birth to me. I was sure because I saw the pictures and..." Her tone sounded sad. "I didn’t want to believe them since I had Papa and Daddy was somewhere else too. My family was a complete one. And yet... I wanted to know. Was it really impossible for men to give birth?" She raised her head and met Michael’s trembling eyes. Her eyes were teary, and a snort was already preparing to run down her nose. "I’m sorry, Papa. I never doubted you so please don’t be mad."
Michael flinched.
Was he...? He couldn’t even tell what kind of expression he had on his face and because of that, he didn’t know he was scaring his daughter.
He turned around right away, still gripping his hand that wouldn’t stop trembling.
Was that something a child like that should’ve heard? Was that something a child her age should keep wondering?
Those people at her school...
"But even if I didn’t doubt Papa, I wanted to prove them wrong so they would stop calling you a liar, so I started looking into anatomy, but no matter what I saw, it didn’t give me my answers. I felt maybe I was just too young to comprehend properly but I knew in my heart that Papa never lied to me." She sniffed, rubbing her eyes with her palms.
Noah couldn’t do anything in that situation. He’d have to turn into human form in order to console Olivia and help Michael feel better, but this didn’t seem like the right time.
"But now that I heard there’s something like the supernatural, I want to know. Is the reason Papa was able to get pregnant and give birth to me because Daddy was a werewolf?" She asked and Michael sighed.
He took in two deep breaths and then turned around.
"That’s exactly it." He said and looked sadly at his crying baby. "The supernatural can’t be explained in words to those who aren’t aware since they wouldn’t believe anyway, so it’s natural that there are no records of it."
He got closer and stroked her hair, taking the handkerchief from his pocket to clean her face and blow her nose.
"I’m glad you believed in me the whole time but I’d have appreciated it if you had told me sooner." He said, and she sniffed, after blowing her snort, and looked at him.
"What would you have done if I told you about it earlier, Papa?" She innocently asked and then flinched as she saw the deadly look in her Papa’s expression.
"Why, it’s simple. I’d have stopped at nothing to make sure I burned the place to the ground." He said and then smiled at her. "Guess they’re just lucky."
A chill ran down Olivia’s spine.
Her Papa could be so scary sometimes.
Then, Michael hugged her.
"Your Daddy says it’s a good thing to stand firm in your own thinking and not be swayed by the rest of the world." He said and Olivia looked down at the wolf with just her eyes.
"Daddy said that?"
"Yes. He believes a strong mentality like that could never be rivaled in the world, and if you’re able to stand by your own decision, no matter what everyone else says, you’ll only see happiness."
Olivia laughed.
"That’s a given." She said. "Those who get swayed and don’t do what they want cause they feel they need everyone’s approval tend to be sad and depressed. I’m never going to end up that way." She proudly declared.
"That’s my girl." Michael scuffled her hair.
"Anyway, now I know why we never went to the hospital." She said. "Since I’m not a normal child, hehe."
It looked like she was back in spirit now.
Michael was relieved.
But to think sometimes like that actually happened.
He was starting to think maybe he should become a teacher and monitor what goes on in his baby’s classroom.
That way, he can rightfully humiliate and discipline anyone who tries to talk back behind his daughter’s back.
As he thought of this, he cackled mischievously and this made Olivia shrivel.
Her Papa could really be scary.
"Alright now, I’m going to go see to some stuff so you two wait here for a while." He said, letting go of Olivia, and then walked towards the room.
Olivia watched her Papa leave and then wondered.
"Daddy, has Papa always been like this?" She asked and though she did not specify what aspect she was concerned about, Noah felt he knew what it was and nodded.
It was plain that Michael liked to carry on more than his back could handle and sometimes, he might stumble. It took the person next to him to help him keep moving till he reached his destination.
That was just how he was.
"We’re back and... Whoa!" Alyssa exclaimed loudly as she saw the big black wolf in the living room. But one look at his eyes and she felt her spine shiver.
She immediately bowed her head, sweat dripping down her body.
She shouldn’t have made eye contact and she wouldn’t have if she knew such a thing had happened.
When Noah was in his human form, the pressure he gave out was manageable and one could even ignore it.
But when he was in his wolf form, any werewolf who came into contact with him would feel the immense pressure, and worse if they happened to make eye contact.
How dare she look into the eyes of the Alpha when he was in his wolf form?
Did she have a death wish?
"I... I deeply apologize." She said, her head bowed and her throat running dry.
"What are you apologizing for, Aunty?" Olivia asked, and it was at that point that Alyssa realized Olivia was riding on top of the Alpha.
Ah, not something you’d see every day.
But why was this happening? Did they already tell Olivia that she was the child of the Alpha?
(Not exactly, but they did tell her she was the child of a werewolf, so that made her a werewolf.)
"Aunty, I heard you’re also a werewolf. Can you transform as well?" Olivia asked, her tone brimming with excitement.
"I... I can but..." She peered at Noah. ’It would be too disrespectful to try and change in front of the Alpha.’ she thought. "I would love to play with you right now, my lady but... I really need I get down and help Roland."
With that, she dashed out of there.
Better to warn Roland that they couldn’t enter the house carelessly at the moment and catch her breath while she was at it.
The pressure... Just how was it that little Olivia couldn’t feel it and was so happily riding on her Daddy’s back in his wolf form?
’Maybe it’s because they’re kin.’ she shook her head. ’I can never understand it.’
Olivia looked at the door and then looked down at Noah.
Then, Michael walked back into the living room.
"Was that Alyssa?" He asked and Olivia nodded. freewebnøvel.com
"But Papa, why did Aunty call me ’my lady’ all of a sudden when she usually calls me by my name?"
Hm, Alyssa walking in to see the Alpha of their pack in wolf form would mean something, right? He wondered.
Well, maybe she felt overwhelmed by the situation and decided to be respectful when addressing the Alpha’s daughter.
"Hm, maybe she thinks it’s time to start treating you like a lady and not a child." He laughed, patting her head.
"Wow, really?"
Michael laughed. Alyssa would really get an earful when she got back.
"Since they’ll be running late, I think I should start preparing things for dinner," Michael said. "I have a feeling they’ll be bringing the main ingredients later."
Noah walked a bit in his wolf form and Olivia started feeling sleepy again.
So, she lay on her Daddy’s back and fell asleep.
Feeling Olivia had slept, Noah called out to Michael and Michael came back from the kitchen.
"Oh my, she wasn’t joking when she said she’d sleep off." He said over a light chuckle.
He took her from Noah’s back and this allowed Noah to transform back to his human form. Yes, he was naked afterwards and Michael’s eyes lingered on the third leg dangling in between his legs.
"If you stare like that," Noah suddenly muttered. "You’re going to make me hard."
"Ah, was it always so easy?" Michael asked, biting his lips sensually.
"Wanna find out?" Noah peered towards him but Michael laughed and turned around with Olivia. freēwebnovel.com
"I’ll get your daughter to bed so she doesn’t wake up and catch her Daddy being a naked pervert."
"Ah, we don’t want that," he said and picked up his pants he had tucked in the corner.
Once he wore it, he walked with his bare chest towards the room and found Michael patting Olivia to sleep.
She must’ve woken up once he laid her down.
She was such a light sleeper.
He waited at the door, and then when Michael stood up, he pulled Michael by the arm and led him out so he could devour his lips.
"You’re so impatient," Michael said, but did not push him away, regardless. In fact, he loved this impatient side of him.
It added charm and a spice of danger that he could not resist.
"Come on, why don’t we do it once before dinner?" Noah suggested and Michael bit his lip, sensually.
