Chapter 198: Sorry but please just let it marinate like this
They needed to choose. Both choices had a disadvantage.
"What are you doing?! Get her!" One guard yelled at a confused guard and he decided to go after Olivia.
"R-right."
"Is there somebody out there?! Please help!" She yelled, her feet moving as fast as they could, but she wasn’t well coordinated with her hands tied in front of her.
She saw a light. A ray of hope at the exit. It looked like she was finally getting out and was going to be able to save them.
This was it.
But the moment she reached it, she crashed into a wall of muscle. The impact sent her falling back on her butt, gasping in pain and shock.
A huge man loomed above her, his shadow swallowing her whole and blocking the ray of light that had given her immense hope.
He looked like a clown with his face painted white and his lips extended with red lipstick.
"I was wondering what the commotion was about." He said, looking down at Olivia who had begun to tremble.
He was huge. As big as her Daddy but somehow bigger. Wider. He was scary with that clown makeup on.
(My dear will be scarred for life because of this clown. Let’s check out clowns from the birthday party list.)
"So you’re the one making trouble," he growled and reached his hand down to pick her up.
His hands, despite wearing white gloves, were rough, and with just one hand, he yanked her up, but she kicked the air, flailing her little legs and swinging her bound hands.
"LET ME GO!" she screamed, her voice sharp with fear she didn’t want to admit. "I said let go. My Daddy will come for you. He’ll make you sorry so let me go NOW!" She boldly demanded, her eyes brimming with the tears she had been holding back all this while.
The kids who had been making a ruckus saw this and saw that Olivia, the most determined of them all, had been caught by such a huge man.
They couldn’t beat him even if they tried.
It was hopeless. There was no way out of here.
Josh was worried. Olivia had been caught.
His hands had begun to tremble, hoping the clown would just put her down already and put her back in the cage. He wished no harm to befall Olivia. He prayed, his hands clasped together, his body trembling like a leaf and his eyes tearing up heavily.
But his prayers were too late.
The clown’s face twisted with annoyance at Olivia’s flailing and how she kept being a nuisance despite crying and being out of breath and strength.
He hated this type of struggle.
"This is why I’ll never have kids," he suddenly spat out and clenched his other fist. Then, to their utmost surprise, his fist drove into her small belly.
Josh’s eyes slowly widened, shaking like they were about to erupt. It was like the time had slowed down in agony all of a sudden.
Olivia’s breath ripped out of her in a broken gasp. Blood was spurting out of her mouth like someone who had received heavy internal damage.
Then, he threw her to the floor without a shred of sympathy. On the floor, her body lay limp, and blood dripped from the corner of her mouth.
The clown sneered at the cage.
"Anyone else want to act smart? You’ll end up just like her." He said but the children shrieked and scrambled back, their courage collapsing completely.
One by one, they stumbled into the cage again, trembling. To them, it looked as though Olivia was gone. She had died from a single punch, so there was no more hope.
They all returned to the cage... All except Josh.
He stood frozen, emerald eyes staring blankly at her body sprawled on the floor.
His chest felt tight, his heart ripping apart.
At that moment, her smile suddenly replayed in his mind, bright and fearless, and the way she always stood above the rest. But now... now she was lying in the dirt. Defeated.

Why? Why did it happen?
"Kid," one of the men barked, "Get back in the cage before you get it too." He threatened but Josh didn’t move.
His eyes were hollow. Empty. As if he had lost his purpose to live. As if he had lost his soul.
And then, his eyes went red. His irises melted into a bloody red darkness, his small frame trembling as the air around him thickened with something dangerous.
The men stepped back, unsettled.
"W-what’s happening to him...?"
"Hm?" The clown looked. Was he also acting out?
Well, he could punch a kid more if that’s what it takes for these brats to quiet down.
But as he took a step, he heard the snap of a bone.
His eyebrows furrowed as he stared at the kid in front of him, behaving strangely.
"What that...?"
With Josh’s mind taken by his primal instinct to protect... No, to destroy that which had destroyed his sun, he had unlocked the powers that his father feared would manifest late due to his introverted and inclined characteristics.
His bones cracked, loud enough for everyone to hear. His limbs twisted and slowly, his body reshaped itself with an agony he didn’t even feel.
Slowly, he began to take the shape of an animal that didn’t even seem possible for humans to do.
White fur burst through his skin, abandoning his clothes. The white fur gleamed under the dim circus lights, stretching to one end like a porcupine ready to release its spikes.
In a moment, the fragile boy was gone, replaced by a wolf cub with shining white fur.
This scared everyone who saw this. Not just the fact that a young boy suddenly transformed into a young wolf, but the morphing process.
It was horrible to watch, and it looked like he was suffering a self-inflicted torture, but not once did they hear the groan from this little boy turning into a cub.
It was as if he had been devoid of any sort of emotions.
Was it even human?
"M-monster." One of the guards said, trembling in fear.
Josh, now in his wolf form, lifted his head and let out a piercing howl. It wasn’t loud to the point that it would burst their eardrums, but it was enough to rattle them.
And this howl resonated. It echoed through the veins of everyone with werewolf blood in their veins, vibrating in the hearts of every wolf within range and signalling that a young cub, the future of werewolf kind, was in danger.
Noah froze mid-step, turning his head sharply right away. Roland, who was speeding past boots, stopped right away, his ears twitching and he turned around, changing direction at once. Alyssa gasped, also heading out in the direction she heard the howl from. And Steven... Steven’s entire body stilled, his heart clenching as he recognized the cry.
Even if he had never heard this cry before. He could feel it in his veins, and in his heart.
Josh.
They immediately set out at once, wasting no time to charge toward the direction of the young cub.
Back in the cage, the kidnappers stumbled back in terror.
"Monster!" one shrieked. "It’s a monster!"
The white cub growled, lips curling back to reveal sharp teeth and canines. And then, in one furious leap, he launched himself at the clown, the man who had struck Olivia.
The man tried to react, but shock froze him in place. He hadn’t expected this so he wasn’t ready to counter.
For someone like him who had handled animals a lot in this circus, handling a little cub was not a big deal, but thanks to being rattled, he wasn’t a match for Josh.
Josh’s jaws clamped down on his throat and he groaned in pain. Blood sprayed out of this man’s neck with Josh’s merciless attack.
The man screamed, clawing at the wolf cub to take it off, but it held on tight, causing more damage as the man tried to take it off.
Its canines were tearing deeper into his flesh and using its claws on his body. This man was in danger of losing his neck. Or worse, dying from blood loss because Josh had now clawed the artillery in his neck.
A vital point.
"Get... get it off me!" he roared. But the others only stared, paralyzed with fear. "Get this monster off."
Where had this thing come from?
"I... I’m coming." They wanted to help, but as soon as Josh’s red eyes sighted them, he made sure to deal something bigger to this man.
He released his teeth, letting the man fling him off but this was only a way for him to get to another location and deal some damage. freewёbn૦νeɭ.com
He leaped forward and clawed this clown’s face.
He was bleeding profusely from his neck and now his face.
"Get that beast, you hear me!" He yelled at the guards who began to move.
They circled around Josh who growled. His white fur dyed red with that man’s blood but he wasn’t satisfied with just that.
