Chapter 29: Happiness With Petite Girl
After a few devastatingly intense moments, Emma pulled back slowly, breaking the wet kiss with a soft, breathy sound.
She looked down at his thoroughly shocked blue eyes that still said he enjoyed this very moment. She felt triumphant after putting an annoying brat in his place by his own method.
"You had better remember to apologize to me for the rest of your life, Young Master," Emma declared smoothly, a territorial gleam flashing in her storm-grey eyes.
"Because let me make one thing crystal clear: no matter how many high-born ladies engaged to you, no matter how scandalous things were made for that Librarian, and no matter what kind of activities you did with other girls like last night... I have zero intention of ever leaving your side. You’re stuck with me apologizing."
Eren violently shook his head as his brain power came back again; he tried to process her words. "Wait... what? Hold on—what do you mean what I up to?!"
Instead of answering, the sexy knight simply gave him a devious, knowing smirk before turning around with grace and starting to walk. Then his blue eyes widened as realization hit his head. He completely forgot how broken swordsmaster skills are in this world.
A person who awakened as a swordsmaster has so many abilities, and one of them is heightened hearing sense. They can practically hear a pin drop across a football field, but they usually suppress it to maintain their sanity, only tuning into specific targets on the battlefield.
His eyes widened even more.
"Hey! Hold on, Captain. Are you telling me that you’ve been eavesdropping on me the whole time?!"
The beautiful knight didn’t halt her steps; she simply threw a gorgeous, amused look over her shoulder. "Maybe."

Eren ignored the useless spam messages popping up in his mind, his blue eyes looking at the primordial level back structure of a tomboy as she walked away.
"God... she looks so pretty when smiles like that," Eren muttered to empty hallways with a helpless grin spread across his face, fully knowing she would hear this.
Even though his brain cells were still trying to reconstruct the bomb Emma just threw, Eren dragged his feet towards his workshop.
Stepping inside it, he saw how messy his beautiful workshop had become after the explosion. He sat at his primary bench, pulling the burned prototype device toward him to run a diagnostic to distract his racing mind.
But no matter how much he concentrated, his mind kept snapping back to the warm sensation on his lips left by Emma.
Thud.
The main door of the workshop swung open, interrupting his existential crisis.
Eren snapped his head to see a cute, petite librarian dragging herself into the room with slow steps. Norelia looks like a sleep-deprived corporate worker who had just pulled a continuous forty-eight-hour shift. Her eyes were swollen with lack of sleep.
She shuffled over to the workbench, completely ignoring his presence until she reached the chair directly beside him.
With a defeated sigh, she collapsed, her head falling forward onto the wooden table with a soft, dramatic smack.
Eren blinked at the mini drama. "Well, look what the cat dragged into the workshop. What exactly did you sacrifice for your sacred sleep? Reading some smut romance novels again?"
Norelia let out a raw, raspy, sleep-deprived growl, not wanting to lift her head to hide how embarrassed she was.
How can she?
This guy smacked some other girl and she literally watched from the back row like some pervert. She literally wanted to disappear right now.
"Shut your mouth, you insufferable brat. I spent the last several hours with two incredibly loud, ghostly pounding sounds echoing in my head that flatly refused to leave me in peace for even a single second."
"Ghostly pounding sounds?" Eren muttered, confused by her sudden change of attitude.
Norelia’s hand reached into her pocket and placed an unsealed, crumpled parchment letter and slammed it onto the bench.
"Read it. I sent a letter to my mentor at the Royal Academy five days ago to get a opinion regarding your sister’s mana core project. The reply just arrived."
Eren picked up the crumpled letter and started reading it. But as his blue eyes crossed a few lines of the script, the casual indifference completely drained from his face.
His breath hitched with every single line he scanned.
"What... what the hell is this?"
Norelia’s muffled, sleep-deprived voice drifted up from the wooden bench.
"My mentor... she predicted the failure of your prototype. She calculated a ninety-two percent risk of an explosion if you actually completed it as it was."
Eren flipped to the second page attached to the packet, his fingers slightly tightening around it. It was an updated version of his own blueprint, but with corrections. It was a flawless masterpiece.
Norelia finally turned her face toward him with a proud, sleepy smile.
"Didn’t I tell you that my mentor might already have a solution? She sent this even before I requested for her help. Now, all we need to do is adjust components to stabilize the flow, and swap out the standard mana stone for an Astreus Stone."
Her red eyes fixed on his face, waiting for the standard Eren Volsver reaction. She expected him to drop a sarcastic remark, crack a joke, or jump straight out of his wooden chair to celebrate.
Instead, he placed the parchment back down onto the workbench. He stood up from his stool directly over to her side. Norelia’s prideful smirk faltered into confusion; she sat up straight in her chair, her red eyes looking up at him as he stared down at her intensely.
Before her sleep-deprived brain could ask what’s wrong, Eren leaned down and wrapped his arms gently yet firmly around her petite frame, pulling her entirely against him.
Norelia froze in his warm embrace, her small hands hovering awkwardly in the air like broken levers. Her face was pressed flat against his chest. It took a full three seconds before a single coherent thought surfaced.
’What the actual hell...?’ she screamed internally in absolute panic.
