Chapter 146: Master, You Already Started?

Selvara continued staring at Damian for several breaths before her voice became cold. "Damian... what did you do?"

Damian blinked. "What do you mean, Master?"

Selvara stepped closer. "Did you take some forbidden drug? Or use some demonic cultivation method?"

Damian’s mouth twitched before he immediately frowned. "Master, how can you think that badly of me?"

Selvara stared at him without saying a word.

Damian placed a hand over his chest. "Alright, fine. I admit I’m a shameless pervert, greedy, troublesome, and maybe a little too handsome."

Selvara’s eyes became colder.

Damian quickly continued, "But I’m not crazy enough to ruin my foundation with forbidden drugs or start cultivating some demonic bullshit."

Selvara remained unconvinced. "Then how did you suddenly reach the Ninth Stage so quickly?"

Damian finally understood what she meant and shrugged. "I just got lucky during the mission."

Selvara raised an eyebrow.

Damian grinned. "I found something good, used it, and naturally broke through. Simple."

Selvara stared at him for several more breaths.

She clearly did not believe a single word.

Damian merely smiled innocently.

In the end, Selvara finally sighed. "Fine. If you do not want to tell me, I will not force you."

Damian immediately relaxed.

A moment later, however, he froze as Selvara’s eyes sharpened. "I will test you instead."

Damian’s expression stiffened.

Selvara continued calmly, "That way, I can see whether you are lying."

Before Damian could say anything, terrifying pressure suddenly descended.

BOOM!

Pressure at the First Stage Golden Core Realm crashed directly onto Damian’s body.

The ground beneath his feet cracked slightly.

Selvara watched carefully, expecting him to struggle.

To her surprise, Damian merely stood there and sighed. "Alright then, Master. Please start."

Selvara’s eyes widened slightly. She had already started.

Looking at her expression, Damian slowly realized what had happened. "Master... did you already do it?"

Damian rolled his shoulders as though the pressure were nothing special.

Selvara remained silent.

His foundation was not only stable.

It was ridiculously solid.

In the end, she withdrew her pressure and calmly admitted defeat. "Fine. Your foundation is excellent. I can only accept what you said for now."

Damian immediately cupped his hands and bowed with a grin. "Thank you for believing in your handsome disciple, Master."

Selvara ignored him. "Since your foundation is stable, I will give you some freedom for now."

Damian’s eyes immediately brightened.

Selvara raised one finger. "However, one month before the Sword Tomb opens, I want you at the Peak Foundation Establishment Realm."

Damian paused for a moment.

The Sword Tomb would open in sixty-seven days.

That meant he had only thirty-seven days to reach the Peak Foundation Establishment Realm before Selvara’s deadline.

Selvara’s gaze became sharp as a faint smile appeared on her face. "Understood... my handsome disciple?"

Damian immediately trembled.

Her voice sounded gentle.

Far too gentle.

"Y-Yes, Master. I will definitely show you the result."

---

Damian left Selvara standing on the mountain peak and immediately began planning what to do next.

"Alright. Since Master is giving me some freedom, let’s go to the Mission Hall."

A shameless grin slowly appeared on his face. "I should also find somewhere to properly learn blacksmithing."

His Blacksmithing Talent had only just been upgraded to Noble Grade, and Damian naturally had no intention of wasting it.

More importantly, another thought had already appeared in his mind.

"Hehehe... if I surprise that little brat by teaching her blacksmithing, fulfill my duty as her master, and maybe give her something good at the same time, she might trigger another critical reward."

Damian nodded proudly at his own brilliant plan.

Without wasting any more time, he turned around and quickly left the mountain peak.

Meanwhile, Selvara remained behind and watched his figure disappear into the distance.

For once, she did not immediately call him back for training.

A faint trace of relief appeared in her eyes.

Her troublesome disciple had already reached the Ninth Stage Foundation Establishment Realm, and his foundation was far stronger than she had expected.

"Good. I’m finally done worrying about him for now. At least he should be able to protect himself."

That meant Selvara could finally relax a little and focus on her own cultivation again.

Her expression slowly became serious. "I also need to continue cultivating. At the very least, I need to reach the Peak Golden Core Realm."

She was currently at the Eighth Stage Golden Core Realm.

The stronger she became, the safer her disciples would be.

Selvara turned toward her cultivation room and walked inside.

Meanwhile, Damian had already arrived at the Mission Hall.

He stood in front of the mission boards and began looking through the available tasks.

Normally, he might have chosen something dangerous for the contribution points.

This time, however, his goal was completely different. "I only want to learn blacksmithing."

Damian rubbed his chin. "No need to choose some insane mission and almost get killed again."

He carefully searched through the available missions until he finally found a simple one located inside a nearby city.

The task involved helping investigate a batch of damaged spiritual weapons belonging to several local merchants.

The reward was not particularly high, but Damian did not care.

The city was famous for its blacksmith workshops.

Damian immediately accepted the mission. "Perfect."

His grin returned. "I can finish the mission, learn blacksmithing, and maybe find something interesting to gift Vulkara later."

A short while later, Damian left the Heavenly Sword Sect and headed toward the city.

A few hours later, he finally arrived.

Damian looked at the crowded streets, the rows of blacksmith workshops, and the smoke rising from countless furnaces before grinning. "Not bad. This place really does suit blacksmithing."

He stretched his shoulders and continued deeper into the city. "Alright, blacksmithing can wait for a bit."

Damian lowered his gaze toward the mission details in his hand. "Let’s deal with the mission first, shall we?"

With that, he followed the address written on the mission notice and headed toward the place where the mission requester was waiting.
