Chapter 115: the next tower won’t be that easy

The spiral staircase ended in a massive arched doorway pulsing with sickly green veins. The moment Trevor and the dwarf stepped through, the air changed. It became thick, humid, and alive — carrying the heavy stench of rot, bile, and insatiable craving.

The chamber was enormous, easily the size of a cathedral. But instead of stone, the walls, floor, and ceiling were covered in pulsating, fleshy growths. Veins throbbed beneath translucent membranes. Mouth-like orifices opened and closed randomly, drooling acidic saliva. The entire room felt like the inside of a living stomach.

In the center floated the guardian — the Hunger Abomination.

It was a nightmarish mass of flesh, easily thirty feet tall, with dozens of gaping, tooth-filled maws across its body. Multiple tentacles ending in lamprey-like mouths writhed in the air. Its central core glowed with a sickly yellow light, pulsing like a diseased heart. Six massive eyes opened across its bulk, locking onto Trevor and the dwarf with ravenous intelligence.

"Fresh... meat..." the abomination gurgled from multiple mouths at once. "So full of life... so full of desire..." frёewebnoѵel.ƈo๓

The dwarf gripped his axe tighter, face pale. "This is no ordinary monster. The corruption here is ancient."

Trevor stepped forward, blade ready. "Stay close. I’ll handle the big one. You watch my back."

The Abomination attacked without warning. Several tentacles lashed out at blinding speed. Trevor dodged two, slicing through a third with a clean cut. Black ichor sprayed across the fleshy floor, causing the ground to hiss and bubble.

But the creature adapted instantly. Illusory voices began whispering in Trevor’s mind.

*"Come... let us feed you..."*

A vision flashed before his eyes — the three succubuses on their knees, mouths open, begging for his cum. Vespera’s cold smile, Seraphine’s graceful body, Lilith’s powerful thighs wrapped around him. The illusion was so vivid he could almost feel their tongues.

Trevor shook his head violently, slashing through another tentacle. "Nice try."

The Abomination laughed with a dozen wet voices. "You crave them still... we can give you more..."

Another illusion hit — this time showing him claiming all three succubuses at once in an endless orgy while power flowed into him. Trevor’s body reacted despite himself, blood rushing south. He growled and charged, leaping onto one of the fleshy tendrils and running up it toward the core.

The dwarf shouted a warning as smaller mouth-minions spawned from the walls, rushing toward him. Trevor cursed and jumped back, slashing through three of the smaller horrors before they could reach the dwarf. One nearly bit the dwarf’s arm, but Trevor intercepted it with a brutal kick, sending it flying into a wall where it burst into acidic sludge. fɾēewebnσveℓ.com

"Focus!" Trevor yelled. "Don’t let them tempt you!"

The Abomination grew bolder. It created a perfect illusion of Vespera standing before Trevor, naked and dripping, whispering, "Come fill me again, Master... I’m still not satisfied..."

For a split second, Trevor hesitated. The illusion reached for him, soft hands wrapping around his cock through his clothes. The sensation felt real.

The real Abomination struck.

A massive tentacle slammed into Trevor’s side, sending him crashing into a fleshy wall. Pain exploded through his ribs. The wall itself began to suck at his back, tiny mouths trying to drain his life force.

Trevor roared and slashed wildly, severing the tentacle and freeing himself. Blood trickled from his mouth, but the Endless Stamina card kept him moving.

He glanced at the dwarf, who was desperately fighting off smaller minions with his axe. One of the creatures had latched onto the dwarf’s leg, sucking greedily.

Trevor moved like lightning. He carved through the minions protecting the dwarf, then drove his blade through the creature attached to the dwarf’s leg, killing it instantly.

"You okay?" Trevor asked quickly.

The dwarf nodded, pale but determined. "Don’t worry about me. Kill that thing!"

The Abomination roared in fury. It unleashed its full power. The chamber quaked as dozens of tentacles attacked at once. Trevor became a whirlwind of steel, dodging, slashing, and protecting the dwarf at the same time. Every time a tentacle neared the dwarf, Trevor intercepted it, taking hits meant for his companion.

His body was accumulating wounds — cuts, bruises, and acidic burns — but he refused to fall.

In the middle of the chaos, a glowing shard of crystal embedded in the Abomination’s central core caught his eye. It pulsed with pure primordial energy, completely untouched by the corruption.

*That’s it,* Trevor realized. *The artifact.*

He fought his way closer, using the dwarf as momentary distraction by having him throw axes at distant mouths. When the Abomination focused on the dwarf, Trevor leaped high, driving his sword straight into one of the main tentacles and using it to swing toward the core.

The Abomination screamed and tried to shake him off. Tentacles whipped at him from all directions. Trevor took several brutal hits but refused to let go. With a final, desperate surge, he reached the glowing crystal and ripped it free.

The moment the **Core Devourer Crystal** left the Abomination’s body, the creature shrieked in agony. The fleshy walls began to convulse violently.

System notification flashed:

**[Artifact Acquired: Core Devourer Crystal]**

**Effect: Can absorb and redirect corrupted primordial energy. Capable of destroying a tower’s heart.**

Trevor didn’t hesitate. He channeled his mana into the crystal and slammed it into the Abomination’s main core. The crystal drank the corruption greedily, glowing brighter and brighter until it overloaded.

"Run!" Trevor shouted at the dwarf.

They sprinted toward the exit as the entire chamber began collapsing. The Abomination exploded in a shower of black ichor and rotting flesh. The fleshy walls shriveled and crumbled. Massive chunks of the ceiling rained down.

Trevor grabbed the dwarf and leaped through the collapsing archway just as the entire floor behind them imploded in a cataclysmic roar. Dust and debris filled the air as the first major section of the Primordial Tower was destroyed.

They emerged into a safer corridor, coughing and covered in dust.

The dwarf stared back at the destruction in awe. "You... you actually destroyed part of the tower. That should be impossible for someone at your stage."

Trevor looked at the glowing crystal in his hand, feeling its power thrumming through his veins. A small, satisfied smile crossed his face.

"One down," he muttered. "Two more towers to go."

Trevor muttered calmly as he began heading directly to the second tower
