Chapter 6: The Outer Realm

Evan walked forward without stopping.

Each step he took felt heavier than the last, not because of exhaustion, but because of awareness.

This world was different.

It did not feel entirely different but it did not felt safe either.

The grass beneath his feet bent softly as he moved, just like it would back on Earth. The ground felt solid, natural, alive.

Small hills stretched endlessly in front of him, rising and falling like frozen waves. A few scattered trees stood across the land, their leaves darkened slightly under the sky.

Everything looked normal.

’So this is the Outer Realm--’, Evan said to himself, his voice was calm, but his eyes were sharp.

The environment wasn’t what he had expected. He had imagined something chaotic, something completely different from Earth.

But this felt like a twisted version of reality, like a parallel dimension.

It was Familiar enough to walk through, like in the Earth.

A cold breeze passed by, brushing against his skin.

Evan could feel smell of blood coming from everywhere.

Evan’s steps slowed slightly, his senses were reacting again.

Soon, he heard a voice.

The grass ahead shifted, not because of the wind but because something was moving.

Evan stopped seeing what was happening.

His body tensed, instincts taking over instantly. His gaze locked onto the source of the disturbance.

For a moment, there was nothing.

Then, a creature emerged.

It crawled out from the grass slowly, its body low and distorted. Its skin had a dark red color, almost blending with the light from the sky.

Veins pulsed visibly beneath its surface, glowing faintly as if something inside it was alive.

Its limbs were longer than normal, bent at unnatural angles. Its fingers ended in sharp claws that dug into the soil as it moved.

Evan’s eyes narrowed, seeing its face

Its mouth stretched too wide, filled with jagged teeth, while its eyes were completely black.

It had No pupils, No emotion, Just hunger.

Another one appeared beside it, then another until there were four in total.

They didn’t rush immediately, instead, they watched him.

They were observing and it felt like they were waiting for something.

’They’re not mindless.’

Evan exhaled slowly.

His stance lowered slightly, ready to react.

The creatures began to circle him.

They were slow and careful.

Like predators testing their prey.

Evan’s lips curved faintly.

’Bad choice.’

One of them moved first.

It lunged forward suddenly, its speed far greater than what its posture suggested.

Evan reacted instantly, he stepped to the side, narrowly avoiding the creature’s bite, and swung his fist downward.

Bam!

The impact slammed the creature into the ground, dirt scattering from the force.

But the others attacked immediately.

They did not show any hesitation.

One leaped toward his back.

Another aimed for his legs.

The third came straight for his chest.

Evan’s eyes sharpened.

’Blood Dominion.’

The blood scattered across the ground responded instantly.

Thin strands rose into the air, moving like living threads. They shot toward the incoming beasts, wrapping around their limbs mid-motion.

Two of them were caught.

The third broke through.

Slash!

Its claws scraped across Evan’s side.

Pain flared.

But Evan didn’t stop.

He grabbed the creature’s arm, twisting his body as he slammed it into the ground.

Crack!

The beast let out a distorted screech.

Evan followed up immediately.

Bam ! Bam ! Bam !

Even punched the beast with all his strength.

The creature after suffering such damage stopped moving.

Behind him, the restrained beasts struggled violently.

The blood binding them trembled under the pressure.

Evan turned.

’You’re weaker than the captain--but stronger than the normal ones.’

His gaze felt calm, calculated and cold.

He stepped forward.

With a slight motion of his hand, the blood tightened.

The creatures shrieked as Evan raised his hand slightly. freewebnσvel.cѳm

The blood sharpened.

SHHK!

Multiple spikes formed and pierced through the creatures’ bodies.

Silence formed yet again.

The last remaining beast, the one he had knocked down first, staggered to its feet.

It hesitated, then turned and tried to run.

Evan didn’t chase immediately.

Instead, he watched it.

’So they do feel fear.’

The creature had barely taken a few steps, before Evan moved.

His figure blurred slightly as he closed the distance in an instant.

He appeared in front of it, the beast froze.

For a split second, that was enough.

Evan’s fist shot forward.

Bam!

The creature was sent flying backward, rolling across the ground before going still.

Evan exhaled slowly.

The fight was over.

His body relaxed slightly, but his mind remained alert.

’This world.’

He looked around again.

The hills, the grass, the trees.

Everything looked peaceful.

But that peace felt fake.

Danger was hidden everywhere.

Even the air felt heavier.

Even the silence felt wrong.

Evan walked forward again, stepping past the corpses of the beasts.

As he moved, his eyes scanned everything carefully.

Every movement, every sound, every shift in the wind.

The land stretched endlessly.

Occasionally, he noticed strange marks on the ground.

The marks included Claw marks, Footprints and some signs of movement.

’I am not alone in this world.’, he thought.

Evan stopped again.

Far ahead, he saw something.

At first, it was faint and barely noticeable, but as he focused, it became clearer.

There were Structures that could be seen, they were mall and distant, but definitely there.

Buildings.

Evan’s eyes narrowed slightly.

’So there are people living here, I cant understand.’

He stood still for a moment, observing from afar, there was no chaos there.

No visible fighting, no destruction, rather it looked stable.

His mind began to work, If there were people, then there were rules, If there were rules, then there was power, and if there was power, Then there were dangers far greater than beasts.

Evan’s lips curved faintly like a dead smile.

Without another thought, he began walking toward it.

The red sky loomed above him, silent and oppressive.

Behind him lay dead beasts, ahead of him laid something far more dangerous than vicious beasts

Evan’s eyes glowed faintly as he moved forward.

’Let’s see what kind of world this really is.’
