Chapter 23: The Three Peak Stage Fledglings
’Look I told you guys that you should attend every class, well all of it your own fault... otherwise you would have been able to get this Blood Worm like me too,’ Hannah said to Santiago and Evan as they ate their dinner in the hall.
Just today, Santiago had cultivated to peak stage. Meanwhile, Hannah was given a Qi Nourishing Blood Worm because her attendance in the academy for the month was a hundred percent.
A Qi Nourishing Blood Worm was not a one time or three time use Blood worm but rather it worked all the time, nourishing the Qi inside the aperture all the time.
It helped in a Cultivators Cultivation and also in the Refinement of other blood worms as the more nourished the Qi of a cultivator’s aperture is, the easier it is to refine a blood worm. Because the more nourished a Qi is the easier it is to seduce the blood worm in consuming the Qi, hence the Qi Nourishing Blood Worm was a great asset.
’So what... me and Evan have cultivated to peak stage and you are still stuck in that middle stage, what good have the classes done to you. Even if you learn all the techniques of the world... If you do not have the cultivation there is no benefit you can gain from Awakened Bastard Paul or any other teacher,’ said Santiago munching on his sandwich, though he instantly regretted it because Evan reaching Peak stage was supposed to be a secret between these two only.
He moved his head towards his right side to see that Evan was looking at him with such cold eyes that showed as if he had broken his trust, as if he had been a... disappointment to his friend.
But Evan slowly returned his gaze to normal as Hannah opened her mouth to talk.
’What? when did you reached Peak stage and why did you not try to tell me about it?’
Hannah blinked, her fork hovering in mid air as her bright crystal blue eyes darted back and forth between the two boys.
The bustling noise of the crowded dining hall faded into the background as an uncomfortable, heavy silence gripped their table.
Santiago swallowed hard, the half-chewed sandwich suddenly feeling like dry ash in his throat under the weight of Evan’s cold gaze.
He knew he had messed up big time, the secret they had strictly guarded in the empty dormitory just an hour ago had slipped out of his mouth because of a stupid boast about his cultivation.
’I ordered a Silver Cultivation Helper Blood Worm... from my father for Evan so you know like we can reach the peak stage... together,’ lied Santiago with a bit of a forced chuckle.
’Oh I see then that makes it easier.’
Silver Cultivation Helper Blood Worm was the first of the four in the series of the Cultivation Helper Blood Worms, as the name suggests they help a cultivator in cultivation.
The name of the four Cultivation Helper Blood Worms were based on the color of the aperture wall at each rank. fɾeewebnoveℓ.co๓

Meanwhile, the three of them after eating dinner went outside for a walk, only to see that the sun was at the peak of a mountain not so far away.
’The Vampire Sect is made in the mountains if I am not wrong,’ Evan mumbled within himself.
A freezing mountain wind swept through the courtyard, rustling the leafy trees outside the academy and whipping the dark fabric of their academy uniforms against their pale skin.
Evan stared at the jagged horizon, realizing how tiny their mortal academy truly was compared to the vast, dangerous mountain ranges claimed by the ancient sect.
Out here in the open, the chaotic world energy felt sharp, a constant reminder of the brutal gap between weak mortals and true power.
The three of them were walking along with each other in the walking track made outside the academy looking like as if they were siblings. Even though all of them had very distinct features from each other, other than the pale skin of course.
Evan was a neither a thin guy nor a muscular one but rather a person that was in between. He has black eyes and had medium to long black hair that he usually cut every weak.
Santiago was a tall muscular guy with jade green eyes and had black hair that reached his shoulders, according to him cutting hair was a hustle so he let them as they were.
Hannah was a short girl, reaching Evan’s shoulder only. She had blonde hair, a curvy body and a pair crystal blue eyes that shone like diamonds.
’So now you two are peak stage right,’ asked Hannah.
’Yes I think it is as you say,’ replied Evan.
’Well I will not be attending any of the classes tomorrow because you know I think I should reach peak stage as soon as possible too... after that we will be The Three Peak Stage Fledglings.’
Hannah giggled, her crystal blue eyes crinkling with genuine excitement as she skipped a step ahead of them. Santiago offered a proud, determined nod, entirely swept up in the comforting warmth of their shared dream. But behind his calm facade, Evan merely watched them in brooding silence, his thumb tracing the dragon hilt of the bone dagger hidden in his robes.
Hannah envisioned a triumphant trio of fledglings stepping forward into become Outer Disciples together, entirely unaware that Evan’s peak stage dark silver aperture wall had formed one crack too and probably in a month he would be an awakened.
Though it was not that easy because when advancing to a next stage, you only break the inner wall of the aperture so that a Qi of great quality can produce.
However when advancing to a next rank, one would need to break the outer wall so that the new aperture wall, a completely new aperture wall can form.
Based on the information their General Knowledge Teacher, Mister David gave, every aperture has four walls and only after breaking the previous on can someone reach a higher rank.
’Well, every thing does require hard worm, even if I were a S-Rank talent, it was not like as if I would become an Awakened in a single day, everything has its own benefits and its own flaws...’
