Chapter 1889: Chapter 1656: Disgust

"Yes, the Holy Daughter of the Demon Clan. You’re originally at the strength of a Realm Marquis, now I’ve merely abolished some of your cultivation. But your combat experience, your Magic Treasure, your Law Comprehension are still intact. Going to the third-level Star Domain Battlefield, there’s a greater chance for survival and more assurance you’ll help me achieve tasks." The Golden Cloud Realm Emperor remarked.

"Yes, my venerable master, I will definitely bring back that Demon Clan Holy Daughter." Duke Yaoyang bowed his head and replied. "I know you want to seize the opportunity to comprehend and break through at the Star Domain Battlefield, to become a Realm King. I have now depleted some of your cultivation, whether you resent me or feel unwilling, you must accomplish what I have tasked you with. When you return, I will not treat you unfairly." The Golden Cloud Realm Emperor continued.

"I’ve been following my master diligently, over these years my master has rewarded me with quite a few treasures. Had it not been for my master’s support, how could I have continually held office in the Boundary General Area? Even if I harbor resentment, I will definitely help my master with this favor." Duke Yaoyang stated.

"Alright, off you go. I’ve arranged the matter of going to the Star Domain Battlefield for you, and you’ll set off in a few days." The Golden Cloud Realm Emperor said, then that scarlet figure vanished.

Duke Yaoyang watched as the scarlet figure disappeared, leaving behind a Space Ring, containing some treasures and fine wine requested by Marquis Qi Yuan. He picked up the Space Ring and promptly departed the palace, flying out of Blood Mountain.

"Cultivation? My cultivation has dropped." Duke Yaoyang’s face turned ashen. "I originally planned to return alive from the Star Domain Battlefield, to comprehend and break through to World King Level amidst life and death battles, but now there’s no chance."

Though he felt discontented and agitated, he dared not express dissatisfaction; the Golden Cloud Realm Emperor was his master, his mighty support. "Capture the Demon Clan Holy Daughter, capturing her promises rich rewards. The Golden Cloud Realm Emperor has been endeavoring to break through to Realm King Level. If the Holy Daughter is captured, Star Sky Alliance offers great rewards, perhaps my master can break through to Realm Lord Level, then I might reap considerable benefits." Duke Yaoyang consoled himself inwardly.

That’s all he could do to comfort himself at the moment.

...

Having spent a month at Star Sky Alliance, Yingzi’s activities comprised of cultivation and occasionally preparing some meals for Lin Mo. At their level of Realm, food was unnecessary, and spending cultivation time on such mundane tasks seemed futile, yet Yingzi persistently prepared meals for Lin Mo daily, as it was the only tangible way she felt she could assist the gentleman.

Lin Mo also did not want to disappoint Yingzi’s thoughtful gestures, and indeed, the dishes Yingzi prepared were delightful and delicious.

On this day, after dining, Lin Mo, as he had in recent days, ventured to the ’Saint Peak.’

Each year, every World General had a chance for Law Comprehension at Law Tower, unless one uses points to exchange for ’Comprehension Opportunities’; Lin Mo, lacking points, naturally couldn’t go to the Law Tower.

Acquiring points is quite straightforward, by contributing treasures to Star Sky Alliance. Unwanted treasures can be exchanged for points, points can also be exchanged for treasures; they are interchangeable.

The second method, journeying to the Star Domain Battlefield, earning contribution points.

The third method, Saint Peak!

Legend has it that Saint Peak contains traces left by three saints of Star Sky Alliance during their youthful cultivation, aiding one’s own cultivation.

Regardless if one is a World General, Realm Marquis, Realm King, Realm Emperor, or even a Realm Lord, all may meditate on the insights left by the three venerable saints at ’Saint Peak!’

Once comprehension occurs, one can gain points from Star Sky Alliance. In total, Saint Peak consists of nine towering peaks, majestic and sky-reaching, rumored that the three saints of Star Sky Alliance diligently cultivated on these peaks in their youth, leaving behind numerous insights and experiences pertaining to Realm, Law, Martial Arts, etc. The saints are the highest pursuit of today’s cultivators, of course, there remains the elusive ’Path of Emperor-level Expert,’ a dream pursued by countless cultivators across the vast cosmos.

There are no special regulations for the nine peaks, anyone is allowed entry.

Lin Mo chose a peak, flying directly inside, feeling an intangible oppressive force permeate, causing him to land on the ground, unable to continue flying.

The mountain peak, once the site of a saint’s cultivation, harbors remnants of their practice imbued with traces of saintly aura.

Flying is strictly prohibited, even for Realm Lord Level experts.

Lin Mo traversed the mountain path lined with lush bamboo forest, blooming valleys, babbling streams, giant-rock-laden lawns, accompanied by the chirping of birds, yet devoid of Beasts.

Should a Beast intrude upon Saint Peak, it would be instantly annihilated by the lingering saintly aura.

Many cultivators wander the mountain seeking and comprehending the insights and experiences left by saintly predecessors during their cultivation.

"Mr. Lin." Suddenly, a soft voice called from behind.

Lin Mo halted, turning to see a familiar figure in elegant blue attire, it was Ling Tong, his neighbor beside the mansion.

"Oh, Ling Tong." Lin Mo greeted.

His journey back to Earth consumed two years in transit, and hadn’t seen Ling Tong during this month, they hadn’t met in quite some time.

"Mr. Lin, I didn’t expect you to have returned, I haven’t yet visited your mansion." Ling Tong, amiable and approachable, did not bear the typical arrogance of a Genius Girl.

"I too just returned from home, haven’t had the chance to pay you a visit." Lin Mo chuckled.

Beside Ling Tong stood three men and one woman, one of whom Lin Mo recognized from Law Tower, named Dong Xu.

It was apparent that Dong Xu maintained a somewhat special relationship with Ling Tong.

"Mr. Lin? Is this the man who disregards Duke Yaoyang’s standing, directly confronting the one under him, the tiger-headed man?" queried a somewhat haughty young man standing next to Dong Xu.

Dong Xu chuckled, "Indeed, it startled me at the time. Duke Yaoyang didn’t seem to react later on."

Ling Tong introduced, "Mr. Lin, you’ve met Dong Xu before, and here are these three, they’re World Generals from the Intermediate Region General Area, who arrived at Star Sky Alliance before us, they’re my friends."

Lin Mo nodded lightly, showing minimal enthusiasm, as they were unfamiliar with each other.

The Boundary General Area divides into three ranks, someone like Lin Mo or Ling Tong situated the lowest. The tiger-headed man monitoring the Law belonged to this rank, while the World Generals residing in the Intermediate Region General Area bore more strength.

After exchanging a few words, Lin Mo understood the somewhat proud young man was named Yu Haichao, the adjacent male and female resembling a couple were Hong Yi and Su Xue, who, like Dong Xu, lived in the Intermediate Region General Area.

Hong Yi and Su Xue exhibited mild temperaments, albeit with an innate arrogance and sense of superiority typical to strong individuals; Hong Yi being the strongest and most reserved.

Dong Xu held the second strongest position, Yu Haichao the third, and Su Xue the fourth.

Yu Haichao grew slightly irritated upon seeing Lin Mo’s calm demeanor, for newcomers to their rank often adopted an eager-to-please manner, unlike Lin Mo’s apparent indifference. Having grown accustomed to the reverent attitude of newbies towards him, Yu Haichao found Lin Mo increasingly displeasing.
