Chapter 2: Milfs
The old woman appeared right in front of Sean. This time, instead of the tattered clothes she wore when they had met in the train station, now she was wearing plain white that shone so bright it was making it hard for Sean to look at her face. The light seemed to come from everywhere and nowhere at once.
The old woman levitated towards where Sean was. Her feet didn’t touch the ground. She placed her hands on Sean’s forehead, and her touch was warm, almost burning. "I wish you luck," she said.
Sean tried to understand what’s happening, but suddenly Sean blanked out. It was like his soul was drawn out, pulled by invisible strings. He fainted before he could even scream.

[Alarm Clock Ringing]
Sean used his hands and hit the alarm clock. The annoying beep stopped. He woke up, and then a sudden flood of memories crashed into him like a wave. Now Sean felt different emotions all at once. Confusion. Anger. Hope. The last thing he could remember was that he was in the train station. How did he end up in this bed? And this wasn’t the bed in his apartment that he was kicked out of. The room looked smaller. Older. Familiar in a way that made his chest tight.
"What the fuck is happening," said Sean. He sat up and looked around. Posters on the wall. A desk cluttered with textbooks. This was his old college dorm.
"Wait, what," said Sean. He was confused because his voice was less manly. Higher pitched. Younger. He quickly rushed towards the bathroom and looked at his face in the mirror and saw that this was him when he was 18 years old. Smooth skin. No stress lines. No dark circles under his eyes from sleepless nights of heartbreak.
Then he remembered the words the old woman said, "I wish you luck." Now he finally understood what she meant. So he has been transmigrated to his past self, to fix all his mistakes. Sean felt glad and happy because he had made a promise to himself that he is going to live for himself and do what he wants. No more being a pushover. No more being a simp. frёewebnoѵel.ƈo๓
Then a buzz came from a phone. It was a song from one of his favorite songs sang by a female artist that he has always had wet dreams for and wished he had dated. He sighed, but that wasn’t the issue right now. His phone is ringing.
He rushed to pick the call, and the voice from the person he hated the most came through the speaker. "Hello, baby. Where are you? I have been waiting for you for a long time. I hope you haven’t forgotten today is our freshers welcome to college."
Sean held his anger within himself. His jaw clenched so hard his teeth hurt. If he wanted revenge, he will need to do it gradually and make her feel every bit of the pain he felt. He squeezed his hands tighter until his knuckles turned white and said, "No, I haven’t. Something came up, but I will be there soon, baby." The word "baby" tasted like poison in his mouth.
"Please don’t waste more time. The party will soon start," said Rebecca. She sounded impatient, like she always did when things didn’t go her way.
"Okay, I am coming. Bye," said Sean.
"Bye too, baby. I love you," said Rebecca.
"I love you too," said Sean as he cut the call. The lie came out smooth. Easy. He had years of practice, after all.
"FUCKING BITCH!" SEAN SCREAMED OUT AS HE FLUNG THE PHONE. The device spun through the air, and luckily it landed on the bed. His chest heaved up and down. All that rage he held back during the call exploded out of him.
Then a ding rang from Sean’s phone.
Sean picked up his phone to see what it is. Then he saw the message.

[Rebate System Activated]
Sean smiled. The anger melted away, replaced by something else. Excitement. Hope. He had forgotten that he had this rebate system. Him getting his revenge and living the best of his life with this second life is possible. The system just gave him back double what he spent on rent. This was going to change everything.
First thing first, I need to dress up, he thought. He went to his wardrobe to check for clothes to wear. He stared and saw that most of the clothes in his wardrobe were worn out. Faded jeans. T-shirts with holes. Cheap sneakers that had seen better days. This wouldn’t work. Not if he wanted to make an impression.
"Let’s go and buy some new clothes," said Sean after finally making the decision. He picked up some clothes and wore that were at least presentable. An old black shirt and his least damaged jeans.
He opened the door out of his apartment. There was a woman maybe in her early 30s standing in the hallway. She was a full package with big breasts that strained against her white blouse, a big ass that filled out her tight pencil skirt perfectly, and a perfect hourglass figure. She had long black hair that fell down to her waist in waves and blue eyes that seemed to sparkle even in the dim hallway light. Her lips were full and painted a soft pink. Sean could remember wanking to pictures of her during those years. Hell, half the guys in the building probably did.
She was hanging notices on some of the tenants’ doors, and then she noticed Sean looking at her and she waved at Sean. "How are you feeling, Sean?"
"Wait, what," said Sean. He didn’t hear what she had just said because he was focused and imagining some obscene scenes with the landlord, which her name was Makima. His eyes had been tracing the curve of her hips.
"Sorry, I wasn’t listening," said Sean while scratching his head. Heat crept up his neck.
Makima let out a giggle. The sound was sweet and light. She walked closer, and Sean could smell her perfume. Something floral and expensive. She placed her hands on top of his head, rubbing it, and said, "It isn’t good for someone as young like you to be overthinking about a lot of things, dear." Her touch was soft. Gentle. Motherly almost, which made his earlier thoughts feel even worse.
"Thanks, Makima. Oh, I want to pay my last month and this month’s rent now. My parents sent me some money for the rent yesterday," said Sean. Because he had remembered some things, and he remembered that he was owing these two months’ rent and Makima was the kindest of all the landlords. But something happened that made Makima bankrupt. This time Sean will make sure that doesn’t happen. He owed her that much.
Makima looked at Sean with a caring look and said, "Don’t stress yourself, Sean. I know you are tight in cash right now due to college. Don’t worry." She smiled, but there was worry in her eyes. Probably thinking about her own money problems.
"I am okay. My dad got a good job, and he told me not to worry and pay you the rent," said Sean. Though it was a lie that he didn’t tell Makima, but kept it to himself. The truth was his dad was still working the same dead-end job. But the rebate system would cover the lie.
Sean brought up his phone and did the transfer to Makima’s account. His fingers moved quickly across the screen.

[4000$ dollar received]
Sean saw the message and smiled. The system worked. Just like that, he had made money by spending money. This was going to be fun. He turned to Makima and said, "Don’t worry, I am fine. I am going to be late to my welcome party." Sean ran down the apartment stairs, taking them two at a time. His footsteps echoed in the stairwell.
Makima stood and watched Sean move. She was worried and hoped that Sean hadn’t put his hands in something that he will regret in the future. The transfer seemed too easy. Too quick. She shook her head and went back to hanging notices, but the concern didn’t leave her face.
