Chapter 181: Christian, You’re So Pitiful
Just as Zen had wiped her tears, her eyes started watering again.
Christian actually came to the hospital?
Obviously Zen knew the reason why he came to the hospital now.
After crying for a while, she smiled.
Zen walked over and as she had expected, she saw Christian sitting at the driver’s seat. He was holding a cigarette in his hand. There were already a couple of cigarettes in the ashtray of his car.
Zen shook her head as she smiled at Christian as though she was mocking him, "Christian, you’re a coward!"
Christian didn’t expect Zen to see him as he threw his cigarette into the ashtray. He looked at Zen deeply before coldly asking, "What did you say?"
"I said that you’re a coward!" Zen mocked, "You came to the hospital but yet you don’t dare to visit Wendy and can only sit here and smoke alone. Hahahaha, Christian, you’re so pitiful. Do you know? Michael has been by Wendy’s side these few days. Didn’t you always believe that you’re superior and want to snatch everything that belongs to your brother? You managed to set up a company in Lake City and snatch the resources on Lake City’s market from your brother. But yet, you fail to snatch Wendy away. You don’t even have the courage to go and visit her."
"Wendy Stewart is already crippled now, she has lost both her sight and her memories. Why should I bother visiting someone like that?" Christian chuckled coldly before continuing, "If my brother wants someone like that and even treasures her, he’s the one who is truly pitiful."
"You’re such a joke, you don’t even dare to be truthful to yourself." Zen shook her head, her smile increasingly mocking, "You’re the one who couldn’t get her but you make it seem like you don’t want her anymore. Christian, if you really think that Wendy is already crippled, why did you still come to the hospital? There’s so many cigarette buds, you probably have already been here for at least two hours right? Not only do you not dare to visit Wendy, you don’t even dare to get off your car."
"Nobody said that I’m here to visit Wendy." Christian glanced at her coldly before saying, "Zen Tanner, this is my last warning to you, you better open your eyes and see who you are."
"Hehe, I know who I am clearly!" Zen had always been living a pressured life. On one hand, she had been feeling guilty towards Wendy and on the other hand, she hated herself for not being able to cut Christian off.
Her voice rose as though she was venting about something, "I know that in your heart, I can’t even be considered a lover. I’m at most just a tool for you to satisfy your desires and I have always been clear about what I am. But what about you, Christian, what do you think you are to Wendy?"
"Don’t challenge my limits!" Christian couldn’t control himself anymore after Zen kept provoking him with her words.
Wendy was a taboo in his heart.
Nobody knew that he likes Wendy except Zen. freeweɓnovel.cѳm
He had hidden it so well to the point that he lied to himself but yet Zen exposed him repeatedly.
"Your limits? Hehe..." Zen laughed as tears fell from her eyes.
She had a bright smile on her face but yet her tears couldn’t stop falling.
"I know that I am nothing to you. You may even kill me if I made you angry right?" It wasn’t that Zen was not afraid of dying but she was feeling extremely terrible at the moment and she just wanted to vent everything. "Christian, kill me if you can."
Afterwards, Zen stood in front of Christian’s car as though she was waiting for him to run her over.
Zen was clearly out of her mind today.
Christian didn’t know what made her like that as he coldly spat, "You’re crazy!"
Then he drove around Zen and left.

Wendy had already been in the hospital for half a month.
During the medical review today.
Michael helped Wendy into the medical examination room.
Having lost her sight for half a month, Wendy had slowly gotten used to the darkness and she didn’t feel as terrified as before when she couldn’t see anything.
After following the doctor into the room, she cooperated with the doctor’s instructions for the review.
Michael’s heart started beating quickly as he watched the doctor remove the bandage on Wendy’s face layer by layer.
The doctor had said that once the bandages on Wendy’s eyes were removed today, she might be able to see some light.
If her recovery was fast, she would be able to regain her eyesight by a week.
Michael waited for all the bandages to be removed expectantly.
"Wendy, can you see anything?" Michael waved his hand in front of Wendy excitedly.
Wendy took a deep breath, a little afraid to open her eyes.
She was scared that she still couldn’t see anything.
Seeing that Wendy still hadn’t opened her eyes the doctor tried to assure her and said, "Don’t be afraid, Mrs. Lucas. We’re just checking the condition of your eyes today. Your eyes would definitely recover, it’s just a matter of time. You won’t be able to see clearly today as well but as long as you can see some light, it means that you’re recovering well so don’t feel pressured."
Wendy nodded her head before mustering the courage to open her eyes slowly.
The doctor and Michael were both waiting with anticipation.
"Wendy?" Michael stretched out his hand and waved it in front of her again.
A glimpse of joy appeared on Wendy’s face as she immediately nodded and said, "I see it, is there something moving in front of me?"
Michael was so excited upon hearing Wendy’s words that he quickly put two fingers up.
"Wendy, can you see what number this is?" Michael asked.
Wendy’s smile fell before she replied disappointedly, "I can’t see it clearly, I can only see that there’s something blurry but I can’t see what exactly it is."
"It’s alright, take it slowly. It’s already a good thing that you can see something, right Doctor?" Michael said.
The doctor agreed and said, "That’s right, you’re indeed recovering well. Being able to see something means that your eyes are already recovering rapidly. Don’t worry, I assure both of you that Mrs. Lucas will be able to see things clearly one week later. She’ll be able to recover fully in at most half a month."
"Hear that, Wendy? You’ll be able to see clearly in a week."
Wendy nodded her head elatedly.
Although she had gotten used to the darkness for half a month, nobody would like being in the dark all the time.
The fear of not being able to see anything would not go away even if one has gotten used to the darkness.
"That’s great, thank you, doctor." Michael nodded his head to thank the doctor.
"You’re welcome, it’s what I should do." The doctor felt happy as well.
Wendy is his patient and as a doctor, he feels a sense of accomplishment at his patient recovering well.
Of course, more importantly, she’s Mrs. Lucas. If he failed to cure Wendy, not only him, the entire hospital would be doomed. Of course he had to do his best. ƒree𝑤ebnσvel.com
The doctor did a general check-up on Wendy.
Her situation was a bit better than he had expected.
He then wrapped the bandage back on Wendy’s eyes.
Michael was afraid that Wendy would feel scared that her eyes were being covered again so he comforted her, "Wendy, don’t be scared, the bandage won’t be on your face for long."
"Mm." Wendy took a deep breath before nodding.
The darkness that was caused by the bandages over her eyes indeed made her feel unease but Wendy heaved a sigh of relief at the thought of being able to see again after one week.
It was just one more week, it would pass in the blink of an eye.
