"Up so early?" Lin Kuang couldn’t help but ask upon seeing Yang Ruoxi.

"Yes. I’ve been stuck in bed for the past few days, and now that I’m better, of course I need to get some exercise," Yang Ruoxi said with a smile.

Her complexion was noticeably brighter today, a vast improvement from yesterday, which delighted Lin Kuang immensely.

"You shouldn’t be out here just because you’re feeling a little better. Take some more time to rest properly," Lin Kuang said with concern.

"No way! I felt like I was going to rot if I stayed in bed any longer. I need to move around," Yang Ruoxi said stubbornly.

"Hmph, that’s not true. You’re sillier than I am," Yang Ruoxi retorted, a little disgruntled.

"Really? I still think you’re sillier than me," Lin Kuang said with a laugh.

"Hmph, I can’t be bothered with you," she said irritably. "I’m going to exercise." With that, she began performing Tai Chi Chuan.

Seeing this, Lin Kuang smiled faintly and also began practicing. He used his Chaotic Tai Chi, while Yang Ruoxi performed the traditional form.

After they finished a set, Lin Guo’er came out to call them for breakfast, and the two followed her back inside.

"Hmph, we have no interest in your explanation. Go attend to the beautiful lady first," Lin Guo’er said tartly.

"Fine. I’ll explain it all later," Lin Kuang said, dejected. He stood up and walked toward the entrance just as Xiao Yingzi walked in through the gate.

"Lin Kuang. Aren’t you happy to see me?" Xiao Yingzi asked with a bright smile.

"You actually came all this way?" Lin Kuang said, still a bit exasperated. He truly hadn’t expected this girl to show up.

"Of course. Why? Did you not want me to come?" Xiao Yingzi pouted, putting on a wounded expression.

"Ahem, no, that’s not it. I’m just surprised you actually came," Lin Kuang said hastily.

"Hmph, stop trying to fool me. You definitely didn’t want me to come. But that’s fine, because here I am anyway," Xiao Yingzi said with a smug smile, looking quite pleased with herself.

Lin Kuang rolled his eyes helplessly. "Alright, come in and have a seat. Don’t just stand there." With that, he ushered her into the main hall.

At that moment, Xiao Yingzi’s gaze fell upon the six women eating at the dining table. The sight of them left her utterly shocked. Xiao Yingzi had always been very confident in her own looks, so to suddenly see six women who were in no way inferior to her was astonishing.

"That settles it, then! You touched me, so now I’m your woman. What more is there to say? You laid your hands all over an innocent maiden like me, and now you’re trying to deny responsibility? You’re a total scoundrel!" Xiao Yingzi glared at him, speaking with furious intensity.

"I... But I..." Lin Kuang was so frustrated he didn’t know how to respond. He felt like he was about to cough up blood.

Seeing his utterly defeated expression, Xiao Yingzi gloated to herself. Heh, you think I can’t handle you?
