Chapter 693: Chapter 693: Right Envoy Retreats

Pei Yourong hadn’t expected this outcome. His own men had come to snatch the Nameless Sword from Lin Kuang, yet Lin Kuang had completely disregarded their actions. Instead, he had shouted a warning, filling Pei Yourong with a mix of gratitude and shame.

At that moment, Lin Kuang was already locked in battle with the Right Envoy. The Right Envoy truly lived up to his reputation as a master of the Three Flowers Gathering at the Top realm, and it did not take long for Lin Kuang to be completely suppressed. Lin Kuang had anticipated this. After all, with a full realm separating them, the disparity in strength was immense, so being overwhelmed was only natural. However, using the Bagua Steps and wielding his Chaotic Tai Chi Sword, Lin Kuang successfully stalled the Right Envoy. Since Lin Kuang was focused solely on tying him down, the Right Envoy found it extremely difficult to finish him off quickly. The Right Envoy hadn’t expected an interloper to suddenly appear, much less one so formidable, and it was infuriating.

"Everyone, focus your strength and wipe them out! I’ll hold off this Right Envoy and buy you time!" Lin Kuang roared. He had to stall, buying time for the Pei Family to eliminate the Demon Sect members. Once they were dealt with, Lin Kuang could join forces with the Pei Family to attack the Right Envoy together. That was his plan.

Hearing Lin Kuang’s words, Pei Yourong was momentarily stunned, but then he joined the fray without a second thought. Since Lin Kuang had made the promise, Pei Yourong chose to trust him.

With Pei Yourong joining the fight, the Demon Sect members were instantly overwhelmed. They were all Postnatal masters; how could they possibly withstand a Skyline master like Pei Yourong? Furthermore, Pei Qingtao was also there. The two of them alone were more than enough to sweep through these enemies.

Seeing this, the Right Envoy’s expression turned grim. He knew that if all his subordinates were killed and this group surrounded him, his chances of victory would be slim to none. Whether he could even survive would be a serious question. His only option now was to eliminate Lin Kuang with everything he had; otherwise, the situation would become dire. With this thought, the Right Envoy unleashed his full power, and his attacks became frenzied.

"Kid, you think you can stop me? What a fool’s dream! Watch me cut you down!" the Right Envoy said coldly, his eyes glinting with bone-chilling killing intent.

Under the Right Envoy’s fierce assault, Lin Kuang struggled to defend himself, but he knew he had to hold on. If he failed, everything would be lost.

"We’ll see if it’s a fool’s dream soon enough!" Lin Kuang retorted with a cold smirk. His Chaotic Tai Chi Sword shifted entirely to a defensive stance, and his footwork with the Bagua Steps became even more profound. At that moment, Lin Kuang seemed to merge completely with nature, entering a wondrous and sublime state.

The Right Envoy was desperate to finish Lin Kuang quickly, but the more he rushed, the more elusive victory became. He was driven half-mad with frustration, his murderous intent flaring again and again, but it was useless. Lin Kuang’s swordsmanship appeared slow, yet he had pushed the Chaotic Tai Chi Sword to its absolute limit, just barely managing to block the Right Envoy’s attacks and impede his advance.

Meanwhile, Pei Yourong, Pei Qingtao, and Pei Yuandong were attacking relentlessly. The Demon Sect members fell one by one, their numbers dwindling rapidly. In just a minute or two, all of the Right Envoy’s subordinates had been killed. On the Pei Family’s side, there were no deaths and only two minor injuries. After all, with two Skyline Peak masters like Pei Yourong and Pei Qingtao present, they were hardly going to let their own people come to any serious harm.

Once all the Demon Sect members were dealt with, Pei Yourong and Pei Qingtao breathed a sigh of relief. Looking over at Lin Kuang, who was still fiercely tangling with the Right Envoy, their hearts filled with gratitude.

"Let’s go! We need to help Lin Kuang!" Pei Yourong shouted, charging directly toward the Right Envoy. Pei Qingtao didn’t hesitate either, his feet blurring as he rushed to join the fight.

Now it was the Right Envoy who looked cornered. All his men were dead. That in itself wasn’t the biggest problem; while he couldn’t defeat Lin Kuang and the others combined, no one here could stop him if he chose to flee. But that wasn’t the crucial issue. The real problem is that they know my plan. If they don’t die here, they will definitely inform the Heavenly Mountain Sect. Once the Heavenly Mountain Sect is on alert, our Demon Sect’s ambition to destroy them will become infinitely more difficult. That is the critical issue.

"Damn you! All of you deserve to die!" the Right Envoy roared, his eyes blazing with such murderous rage it seemed he wanted to tear them all to pieces.

However, Pei Yourong and Pei Qingtao had already arrived. Employing the Willow Catkin Technique, they moved at extreme speeds and launched a relentless series of attacks against the Right Envoy. With Lin Kuang tying him up, all they had to do was find an opening to finish him. With them joining the assault, the pressure on Lin Kuang lessened considerably. The Right Envoy now had to defend against their attacks, which naturally weakened his own assault on Lin Kuang. Besieged by three Skyline realm experts, the Right Envoy found it a considerable strain to defend himself, which only fueled his fury.

"Fine! Very fine! People of the Pei Family, I’ll remember you! Just you wait! Next time, we’ll be paying a visit to your Pei Family!" the Right Envoy spat angrily. In the next instant, his figure flashed, and he broke free from the battle. As a master of the Three Flowers Gathering at the Top realm, if he wanted to escape, the three of them stood no chance of stopping him.

Having leaped out of the fray, the Right Envoy shot one last glare at them before turning and disappearing into the woods.

Lin Kuang, Pei Yourong, and Pei Qingtao did not give chase. They knew they couldn’t catch him, and even if they did, it would be pointless.

"Lin Kuang, thank you," Pei Yourong said, walking over to Lin Kuang and giving him a deep bow with clasped fists. His voice was filled with sincere gratitude, knowing that without Lin Kuang’s warning and assistance, they would all likely be dead.

Lin Kuang shifted his body slightly to the side, avoiding the full brunt of the bow. "There’s no need for thanks," he stated indifferently. "When dealing with the Demon Sect, it’s everyone’s duty to eliminate them. I was simply doing my part." He wasn’t particularly fond of the Pei Family. If it hadn’t been the Demon Sect they were facing, he wouldn’t have bothered to intervene at all.

Hearing this, Pei Yourong felt a pang of embarrassment but didn’t take offense. After all, his group had come here to rob Lin Kuang. The fact that he was willing to let bygones be bygones was already more than they could ask for.

"Lin Kuang, thank you so much," Pei Yuandong said, stepping forward and giving a slight bow. His words were thick with gratitude.

Seeing this, Lin Kuang quickly helped him up. "Brother Pei, you’re being too polite."

Lin Kuang was genuinely grateful to Pei Yuandong. If not for him sharing the Willow Catkin Technique back then, Lin Kuang might have perished in several crises.
