Chapter 649: 649

Lin Kuang had already felt the changes in his body, but he never imagined his strength would increase so dramatically. Last night’s passion, combined with the activation of his Primordial Blood Power, had agitated the surrounding Force of Nature, significantly boosting his power.

Lin Kuang could now open the eighth and final gate of his Eight Gates Escape Technique: the Gate of Death. The technique consisted of eight gates in total: the Open Door, the Rest Gate, the Life Gate, the Injury Gate, the Du Gate, the Scenic Gate, Jingmen, and the Gate of Death. Previously, Lin Kuang had been stuck between the Scenic Gate and Jingmen, unable to break through. Yet, after last night, his strength had unexpectedly soared to the point where he could open the Gate of Death. All eight gates were now open! fɾeeweɓnѳveɭ.com

Lin Kuang was indescribably excited. Feeling the power coursing through his body, he felt confident that he could obliterate a Blood Clan Elder! He had finally become one of the strongest fighters of the younger generation, now on par with even the disciples from the most ancient martial arts families.

Lin Kuang clenched his fists, his entire being thrumming with excitement. Is this what it means to have all eight gates of the Eight Gates Escape Technique open? But there’s still one last step. When all eight gates are open, they form the Eight Gates Escape Technique Great Formation. That is the true form of the technique. If I can form the Eight Gates Escape Technique Great Formation, only then will my Eight Gates Escape Technique reach a state of perfection!

Previously, Lin Kuang would have thought that perfecting the Eight Gates Escape Technique would make him the most powerful person alive. Now, however, he realized he had been a frog in a well. Having witnessed the power of Chen Anhun and Gu Feng, and seen Diwu Baiyu’s terrifying strength, Lin Kuang knew that even with a perfected Eight Gates Escape Technique, he might still not be their match. He might be able to fight Gu Feng, but the gap between himself and Diwu Baiyu was still vast.

At this thought, a fiery intensity ignited in Lin Kuang’s eyes. Regardless, he was now a true powerhouse. At the very least, he had the potential to chase down and even surpass Diwu Baiyu!

Gazing at Britney lying on the bed of green leaves, Lin Kuang murmured, his eyes filled with gratitude, "Britney, thank you. Thank you for this beautiful gift." He believed he would have eventually reached this level of strength on his own, but it would have taken time—how much, he couldn’t be sure.

Just then, Britney stirred slightly before her beautiful eyes fluttered open.

"You’re awake?" Lin Kuang asked with a smile.

Britney smiled and nodded. "Mhm, I’m awake." She stood up on the bed of leaves, her enchanting figure on full display.

"You should put something on," Lin Kuang said with a grin, admiring her captivating form. "Otherwise, I might not be able to control myself."

Britney simply gave a small smile and began to dress, piece by piece.

Once dressed, she looked at Lin Kuang, her voice full of reluctance. "My dear, I think I have to leave now."

If she had a choice, she would never leave his side. However, she had to go. She had reasons that could not be ignored.

Lin Kuang smiled and nodded. "I understand. Go on," he said, gently pulling her into an embrace. "Parting just makes the next reunion all the better. Besides, it’s not like we’ll never see each other again."

In truth, Lin Kuang was also extremely reluctant to let her go, but he knew he had to. He couldn’t be so selfish.

Feeling his strong arms around her, Britney rested quietly in his embrace, her small hands wrapped gently around his back. An unknown amount of time passed before they finally separated.

"My dear, I’m leaving now. Remember to miss me," Britney whispered, her lips brushing against the corner of his mouth in a gentle kiss.

"Go on," Lin Kuang said earnestly. "I’ll miss you."

Britney nodded. The next moment, the pristine white wings on her back unfurled, and she soared into the sky, leaving without a single glance back. She was afraid—afraid that if she saw the reluctance in his eyes, she wouldn’t be able to control the urge to stay by his side.

Lin Kuang’s gaze remained fixed on the sky until her figure completely vanished from sight. He then looked down at the large bed made of green leaves and murmured, "Britney, I hope you’ll have taken care of everything by the next time we meet. I believe you can do it."

With that, Lin Kuang dressed and headed down the mountain. He saw the soldiers on guard at the foot of the mountain, found a car, and drove directly to the East Sea Military Region. Shortly after he left, the soldiers also pulled out. Pegasus Mountain was safe now, and they were no longer needed.

As he drove, Lin Kuang worked to adjust his mood. Nearly an hour later, he arrived back at the East Sea Military Region and met with Yang Wucheng. By then, Chen Anhun and Gu Feng had already departed. Since the situation was resolved, they had no reason to stay.

"Kid, are you alright?" Yang Wucheng asked with a smile.

"Yes, everything’s fine," Lin Kuang replied, smiling back.

"Good. Everything here is taken care of, so you can head back and get some rest," Yang Wucheng said.

Lin Kuang nodded. "Okay, Uncle Yang. I’ll be going then."

"Alright, you little rascal," Yang Wucheng added, giving Lin Kuang a helpless glare. "Make sure you treat my daughters well."

Yang Wucheng wasn’t a fool. He knew what had happened while Lin Kuang was away from East Sea. The fact that both of his daughters had fallen for Lin Kuang left him a bit frustrated. However, it was their decision. As their father, he had already explained all the potential consequences, but they remained firm in their choice, leaving him powerless to interfere.

Besides, to be honest, Yang Wucheng had a grudging admiration for the boy. To make so many beautiful women fall in love with him and remain so devoted... that was, undeniably, a skill in itself.

Lin Kuang was stunned for a moment before Yang Wucheng’s meaning sank in, and an awkward expression crept onto his face. "Ahem. Uncle Yang, you can rest assured," he said, looking Yang Wucheng straight in the eye with utmost sincerity. "I swear I will treat them well!"

"Go on, then. I trust my daughters’ judgment," Yang Wucheng said with a smile.

Lin Kuang gave a firm nod and turned to leave.
