Chapter 1600: Chapter 1600: The Brothers Meet

In the garden filled with various plants, Ian Shelby emerged and appeared in Jocelyn Morgan’s sight.

She saw him personally watering the potted plants, then casually plucking some leaves and taking some stems.

Jocelyn thought, without his specialized equipment here, can he concoct the medicine in the shortest time?

In the palace, Ian Shelby focused his mind, having selected over a dozen herbs, and he was attempting to mix medicines.

At dusk.

Under his mother’s coercion, Taylor stayed by the King’s side; he wasn’t playing games, nor did he take out his phone, sitting by the bedside, watching his increasingly emaciated father, his mood suddenly turning gloomy, with a feeling in his heart that couldn’t be put into words.

The King knew he was poisoned chronically, he scrutinized his son, but couldn’t detect any flaw from Taylor.

Thus, the King couldn’t confirm whether his son had participated in the poisoning.

Although he wasn’t good at studies, the King had watched him grow up and knew this child wasn’t ill-natured.

"Father, how do you feel now? There’s a dinner party at the palace tonight, do you want to join in the fun?"

Taylor asked very directly, using the words "join in the fun" to denote their ordinary relationship was not bad.

He also said, "Father, if you’re able, going out for a walk is always better than lying here."

"What is your mother doing? There are already so many palaces, why does she want to build a castle park?" The King’s tone wasn’t accusatory, only inquisitive, "Doesn’t she discuss this with me?"

"She says that piece of land was given to her by you, and leaving it empty is still empty, she’s been planning since a few years ago, hoping to use modern technology to build a retro-style castle." Taylor spoke frankly, "Following your tastes, then you can move over to live with her."

About the castle construction, the King did not say much more.

Taylor asked again, "Father, are you attending the dinner party?"

The King said without hesitation, "I will attend tonight’s party, you should go back to your palace, don’t stay and guard over here, I’m fine."

"I wouldn’t have anything to do when I return, better to accompany you more." Taylor suddenly showed more understanding, genuinely feeling sad, "By the way, Father, I heard Arthur say he’s looking for a Raban doctor for you, will he be more effective than the royal physicians?"

"Who knows? But an illness needs to be treated." The King waved him away, "Go, go, go, you need to attend the party, your brother has to attend too, by the way, haven’t you met him yet?"

Thus, the King ordered someone to summon Ian Shelby.

Upon hearing footsteps, Taylor, seated by the bed, turned his head at the sound, seeing Ian Shelby step by step walking over, that handsome face carrying a hint of coldness, with an unfathomable gaze.

He appeared indifferent to fame and fortune, yet always gave an impression of complexity.

"Father." Ian Shelby came to the bedside, bowing to the King in salutation, "What do you need me for?"

Taylor, sitting in the chair, kept his eyes raised at him, while Ian Shelby didn’t spare even a sidelong glance, his cool detachment making Taylor very uncomfortable.

They were both father’s sons, what made him special?

Taylor stood, picking up his father’s conversation, "No need for father’s introduction, hello, my name is Taylor, born to Catherine, your half-brother."

As he finished speaking, Taylor extended a hand to Ian Shelby.

Ian Shelby met his gaze indifferently, not saying much, but also extended his hand.
