Chapter 1586: Chapter 1586: Ian Shelby Is Being Followed
Then, Ian Shelby told him about one of his plans...
Half an hour later, Eden and Arthur came in, seeing Ian sitting by the bed, covering the King with a blanket.
Hearing footsteps, Ian stood up and greeted them, "Uncle."
"Eden, give the phone back to Louis," the King said gently, "give him a royal pass, and take him back to his own palace."
Apparently, he didn’t plan to leave and decided to stay?
Eden’s expression was gentle, a slight smile of joy at the corners of his lips, "Prince Louis, are you really planning to stay with the royal family?"
"Yes, my father’s health is poor, so I’ll stay for a while to accompany him, but the matter of inheriting the throne will be discussed later," Ian said warmly, "Right now, my father’s health is the most important."
Eden didn’t know how to speak to him about it. In fact, the King’s health had no room for improvement; the royal doctors said his internal organs were starting to have problems.
At this moment, Arthur brought the phone over and gave it back to him.
Ian met his gaze briefly, "Thank you," he reached out to take it and turned it on.
Immediately, he saw more than a dozen missed calls from Jocelyn Morgan.
Ian didn’t call back right away; instead, he simply put the phone away.
The King spoke, "Eden, take him back to his palace first."
"No need to take me," Ian turned his eyes to his father, his expression gentle, "Father, take care of your health. I remember the way."
Then he looked at Eden, speaking to him in the same tone, "Uncle, please bring the pass to me later, I might leave the palace."
"Okay."
"Father, rest well." After saying this, Ian stepped out and left.
From the moment Ian was born, he had his own independent palace, which was a gift from the King and had always been under his name.
These years, he hadn’t lived in the royal family, so that palace had been empty all along. Although there was no master, servants cleaned it daily, and it always had a lively atmosphere, not cold and lonely.
Ian returned to his palace alone, his emotions becoming more complex with each step.
At the door, he was warmly greeted by the servants, "Welcome home, Prince Louis!" Everyone was very happy.
Ian stopped, meeting everyone’s eyes, feeling a sense of nostalgia amidst change.
"Hello," a warmth filled his heart, and his expression was incredibly gentle.
These servants used to be by Queen Elsa’s side, caring for Prince Louis and Princess Annie when they were young. Over the years, they had especially missed him.
Ian entered the palace and went to the second floor, into a tastefully decorated room, closing and locking the door behind him.
He took out his phone and stared at the missed call, hesitating whether to call Jocelyn or not.
Could the call be monitored?
The person who poisoned his father began setting up the trap five years ago, indicating he was not acting alone. There must be a meticulous organization.
Ian was also well aware of his situation; at this moment, it seemed inconvenient to contact anyone, fearing that he might bring disaster to anyone.
Would the call really be monitored?
He wanted to test it, to verify the result, though not by calling.
Soon, Eden brought him the pass.
"I need to go out for a while."
The servant immediately arranged for a car to take him out.
In addition to the driver, four guards were assigned in the car.
Throughout the journey, Ian asked the driver to stop and go, observing through the rearview mirror, and indeed found vehicles following him.
Ian remained calm, telling the driver, "Don’t stop anymore, head to the nearby flower market to buy flowers."
"Understood, Prince."
With Ian’s travels, naturally, there were people following to protect him, as he was now the King’s beloved Prince Louis.
Yet, he did not know which side those protecting him were on.
Just returning to the palace, he wouldn’t trust anyone except his father.
Lorelei’s flower markets were plentiful and large, with all sorts of exotic and rare flowers available.
Getting out of the car, Ian seemed like a professional flower picker, carefully selecting, as if he came out today just to buy flowers.
