Chapter 1109: Chapter 451: January_3
"Then, based on the situation we’ve explored, we’ll head to the frontline at varying speeds."
Upon hearing this, Chadite nodded.
Soon after, they sprang into action.
Together with the Puppet Girl, they left the city gate and stepped outside.
In the team, besides Alka and the others, were also two Vastvas.
These two Wattawas were none other than Waku and Kavala, whom they encountered on their first journey into space.
Among them, Waku’s power was on the verge of breaking through the First Stage, advancing to the Second Stage. In fact, he was the strongest in their group.
Due to his physique and constant experiments, he quickly adapted to the concentration of Magic Power.
Thus, he naturally became the first Vastva to become a Toucher.
Kavala also went through the Toucher ritual afterwards and was now at the Two Spirals, still some distance from the Three Spirals.
After leaving the city gate, Alka directly opened the camp’s gate to the space. Kavala and Waku walked right in.
As they entered, Alka did not close the space but instead expanded it further.
With the sound of mechanical twisting and a clicking noise, a mechanical vehicle emerged from the space gate.
Another soon followed.
The two of them entered precisely to operate these two vehicles, which looked very new.
They resembled grain trucks but, upon Alka’s suggestion, a cab was added for more flexible control.
The rear cargo area also became fully enclosed, equipped with a top cover to shield against the elements.
The drivers, naturally, were Waku and Kavala.
This vehicle wasn’t manufactured by Simon; he only provided some minor suggestions. The Vastvas undertook most of the manufacturing and technology themselves.
"Get in!" Waku gripped the steering wheel, poking his head out the window with a smile.
Due to his advancement in skills, and given that their mechas were ineffective outside, Waku hadn’t operated machinery for a long time, so he could only satisfy his urge by driving.
The group split into two teams and, along with the Puppet Girls, all climbed into the cargo area.
As for the larger Pororo, he could only sit atop the cab. There was no other solution.
If he were to squeeze into the cargo area, it would be far too uncomfortable.
It was an oversight by the Vastvas, and a suitable vehicle for Pororo was already in the making.
As the vehicle began to move, it was slightly bumpy, but much better compared to being on a ship.
In this manner, the group started their journey with ease and comfort.
In just a day’s journey, the two vehicles reached the camp. After resting for a while, Alka and his team continued on their way.
Driving to the location of the Curse Sword beneath the orange pillar of light, Alka hoped to gather more information there.
The place was not close to the camp; they arrived only by nightfall.
Alka stepped out, with the Heart of Vastwa floating beside him, enhancing his space perception. Lucilia perched on his shoulder; both wielded space-related Treasures.
"Carefully sense the area to see if you can detect any unusual spatial seams."
Lucilia nodded in agreement.
The two of them spread their spatial awareness in this region, while Julia also attempted to sense whether she could discover anything unusual.
Though they could sense something was amiss in the space, feeling a solidity as if the surrounding area was anchored by something, they couldn’t determine the source.
It was like looking through a gauzy screen, blurred and indistinct.
Meanwhile, Chadite dispersed silver ripples in the surroundings to inspect.
"There are many demon corpses underground, along with weaponry tainted with rust. This place must have been a battlefield once."
However, clearly the Curse Sword wouldn’t be buried underground, since the Treasure Information detailed explicitly that it was sealed within a space next to the corpses, along with the demon’s soul.
"Let’s get back in and head to the next destination."
Everyone climbed back onto the vehicle, which started moving again.
This journey would take longer.
Taking turns driving, they finally reached their new location almost by noon the next day.
The area mapped out by Alka was vast. This was why it took Chadite and the team nearly half a month to map the entire region.
After alighting, Alka examined the area corresponding to the orange pillar mark.
One could clearly see it was a ruin, and it wasn’t entirely buried underground. Instead, it lay collapsed on the surface.
This indicated that these structures were built after the Empire’s destruction and subsequently destroyed.
This meant there hadn’t been much time since these buildings were ruined and collapsed.
Observing the structures,
the group gathered around, noticing the rugged symbols adorning these buildings.
Lucilia had already examined them before.
