Chapter 70: Chapter 70: Relationship troubles
Lyro walked two steps behind Fiona, hands in his pockets.
She moved ahead with her arms folded, back straight, saying nothing.
"Well. At least we’re still technically on a date."
He tried to find comfort in that. It was moderate comfort at best.
Fiona stopped abruptly.
She turned halfway toward him. "I’m hungry."
Lyro’s expression brightened immediately. He closed the distance between them in a few quick steps.
"I know a place," he said, and moved ahead to lead the way with considerably more energy than he’d had for the last ten minutes.
They arrived at the restaurant a few minutes later. frёewebηovel.cѳm
Lyro stepped ahead and held the door open , before the doorman could , he with a bright smile gestured her to go inside, waving his hand in an elegant motion hoping to impress her.
"Welcome to Faura de ploshe the finest restuarant at the Northern streets ."
The doorman slowly backed off getting a hint of the situation.
But Fiona simply walked through without comment.
He didn’t let this got to him. "This place will cheer her up. I’m sure of it."
He followed her inside and guided them to a spot near the window. He reached for her chair and pulled it out.
Fiona took the adjacent chair and sat down herself.
Lyro stood for a moment holding the empty chair.
Then he sat down in it.
"Well." He picked up the menu. "This isn’t going to be easy."

Percy paid the driver and turned to find Dana already absorbed in the street, watching groups of people moving back and forth carrying signs and materials between buildings.
He stepped beside her. "Anything you’re interested in?"
Dana nodded slowly without looking away. "Why is it so busy? And everyone seems to be doing something similar."
Percy looked at the workers. "They’re probably preparing for the Galeo Festival."
Dana turned. "Galeo Festival?"
"Yes" Percy said.
"It’s very close now. About a week away, I think. It’s a big event , where the entire district celebrates together. Exclusive to this area."
Dana turned back to the street, watching the preparations with renewed attention. "That sounds fun."
"It is."
Dana turned to him again " Have you been to one before ?"
Percy chuckled "of course i have "
" Back at the time Beatrix and me wouldn’t miss it at all , well not that we could "
Dana blinked " what about after you guys broke up ?"
Percy patted her head "well honestly , it wasn’t as much fun without her but i still enjoyed it even after"
Dana raised his hands away from her head "I guess thats good enough then"
Percy turned to the people working .
"Would you like to come?"
She looked at him and nodded. "I’d love to."
Percy smiled. "Then we’ll need to find a private carriage soon."
Dana tilted her head. "Why?"
Percy explained, about how the Galeo Festival wasn’t like other celebrations, how the festival itself moved through the whole district rather than staying in one place, and the story behind why it was done that way.
Dana nodded along every few seconds, eyes bright.
"That is a really great story behind it . Now I’m really excited for the festival ."
"You seem to like stories," Percy observed.
Dana didn’t deny it. "I do. Very much."
Percy adjusted his suit as he declared.
"That’s convenient , because I know quite a lot of them."
"Really?" She grabbed his arm.
Percy smirked. "Of course. Have I ever lied to you?"
"No," Dana replied immediately.
Then her expression turned thoughtful. freeweɓnovēl.coɱ
"Although," she added, "it does seem like you’re starting to. Just a little. It’s getting harder to trust you completely."
Percy grabbed her cheeks and pulled.
"How dare you call me a liar , you little rascal ..."
" I didn’t . Awww aaw aaw it huuts braathee.."

The sounds of scissors and machines filled the shop the way they always did.
Silia stood at her table, a piece of fabric held in both hands, her gaze drifting to an empty aisle before she caught herself and looked back down.
She sighed and continued working.
Bram pushed his glasses up and watched her for a moment from his desk. Then he set down what he was holding, stood, and crossed the room to her. He placed a hand on her shoulder.
Silia looked up. "Yes, father?"
"Why don’t you take a rest?"
"I’ve barely started," she said, glancing at the work in front of her.
Bram kept his hand where it was. "Silia. You’re slower than usual today. That’s not like you." He paused. "Tell me if I’m wrong, but are you worried about the boy?"
Silia’s expression shifted. The composure stayed but something behind it dimmed.
"You’re right," she said quietly. "I don’t know what’s happened to him. I decided to take Mr. Gareth’s advice and give him time, but..." She stopped.
"What if he decides not to come back at all?"
Bram pulled a stool over and sat beside her.
"Do you think he would do that?"
Silia shook her head slowly. "No. I don’t think so. I believe he has his reasons."
Bram smiled and reached over, patting the side of her face gently.
"Then why worry? If you believe he’ll come back and explain himself, there’s nothing to worry about yet."
He gave her cheek a light rub. "No need to worry, Silia."
"Thank you, father."
"Of course, my daughter." Bram stood and straightened his coat. "And don’t bottle things up. You can tell me everything. I’ll always be there for you , if not me, then who? You’re my only family."
He reached over and gently nudged her nose before making his way back to his desk.
Silia watched him go. The gloom that had settled over her lifted noticeably, warmth taking its place.
"Yes," she thought, turning back to her work. "Percy will come back."
Her hands moved steadily again.

From his corner Gareth had watched the whole exchange , his own work sitting untouched in front of him.
His eyes were hazy.
He frowned.
"What is he even doing?"
