Chapter 2: System Mission: Make Babies or Die
Maeve went completely still for a moment, then slowly asked, "Excuse me?"
Pinky smiled brightly. [You know... save the tribe. Rebuild the population. Cute babies. Happy ending.]
Maeve’s face went completely blank. "No."
Pinky laughed weakly. "Host—"
"No."
"But, Host—"
"NO!"
She screamed so loudly that her voice echoed through the forest. Bird-like creatures flew out of the trees in fright, and the crowd around her flinched.
Maeve pointed angrily at the floating panel. "I just escaped death! I got thrown into the sea by criminals! I woke up in a random forest with glowing water and giant aliens! And now you want me to what?! Start a population recovery project?!"
The blue-haired man frowned. "What is she shouting about?"
The silver-haired man’s golden eyes narrowed as he looked at her face. "Maybe she’s just... confused."
Maeve turned sharply toward him, and the moment their eyes met, the sounds around her seemed to disappear.
The silver-haired man’s face remained calm, but his gaze was deep and heavy, as if he could see through every layer of panic inside her.
He stepped closer, not enough to touch her, but enough to make her feel his presence.
"You are trembling," he said in a low voice.
Maeve immediately took a step back. "I’m fine."
"You are clearly not fine."
"I said I’m fine."
But then her knees suddenly gave out. Maeve’s vision spun, as if she were on a carousel.
[Ding! Warning!]
[Host’s stress level has reached 100%!]
[Host has a 99% chance of collapsing in the next ten seconds.]
Her body swayed forward, but instead of hitting the ground, she landed against a hard chest, and strong arms caught her.
"Healer! Brother, we need a healer!"
Brother?
Why was the blue-haired man calling the man beside him that?
Were they brothers?
She wanted to think about it more, but everything was fading. Her strength disappeared, and in the end... she lost consciousness.

Maeve didn’t know how long she had been unconscious, but when she opened her eyes, she found herself in a place that looked completely unfamiliar.
Her vision was still a little blurry, but she knew she wasn’t in a house or a hut. Honestly, the place around her looked like... a cave.
But it wasn’t just any cave, though. It looked like it had been turned into a living space. There were animal pelts stacked together like a bed, and bones hanging from the walls. freeωebnovēl.c૦m
Maeve’s eyes widened the moment she realized there were BONES on the wall. "Oh, fuck me..."
[Your future mates would be happy to do that, Host ^^]
"AAAA!" Maeve screamed again the moment Pinky appeared in front of her.
[Stop being dramatic, Host. You’re not dead yet.] Pinky said. Her voice sounded less stiff now, slowly becoming more like a real person’s.
[Besides, why are you so scared? Don’t your future mates look handsome? And they look like they have big di—hearts?!]
Maeve’s eye twitched because she knew exactly what Pinky was trying to say.
A second later, Pinky summoned a floating hologram right in front of her face. This time, it showed pictures of the three aliens she saw earlier.
[Look carefully, Host!] Pinky said happily. [They are your future mates, and the future fathers of your children!]
Maeve slowly looked down and saw their names appear under each picture.
[Ikarus: First-born, 42, black hair, and golden eyes.]
[Cerus: Second-born, 42, dark blue hair, and golden eyes.]
[Axan: Third-born, 42, white hair, and golden eyes.]
It seemed like they were triplets, but forty-two?!
Maeve swore her eyes almost popped out. She couldn’t believe they were that old when their faces looked so young, even with their blue skin.
[People on this planet can live for three hundred to four hundred years, Host! That’s why they age very slowly, unlike humans!]
[Anyway, do you want to know more about your future mates?!]
Maeve let out a frustrated sigh because she still hadn’t accepted her new role as the savior of this tribe.
"I do... but before that, I want to ask something," she said. "Before I passed out, I remember that I’ll die if I can’t give them children. Why?"
Pinky answered right away, [It’s because you’re part of a special program called "Savior from Another Planet," where people who are close to death are sent to another world to save it from total destruction.]
[Sometimes, the mission is to defeat a demon king or find a powerful artifact. But in your case, you need to save the Azuryn Tribe from extinction by giving them children!]
[Why? Because the Azuryn Tribe works as one whole. If their leaders don’t have mates and children, the tribe will be infertile.]
Maeve frowned, still trying to understand all the informations. "And what if I refuse?" she asked.
[Then, you will die.]
[Everyone in this program has a purpose. If you refuse your role, your existence will be seen as useless, and you will be terminated.]
[And just so you know, Host... it will be very painful because every cell in your body will be destroyed one by one.]
[But don’t worry too much!] Pinky quickly added in a cheerful tone. [Just have cute babies, and you’ll live as long as this world exists!]
Maeve was about to say something, but then she suddenly heard the sound of footsteps approaching the cave.
"Brother, are you sure she’s the right mate for us?" a man’s voice, which seemed to be Cerus’s, said. "She doesn’t even look like us."
Not long after, Ikarus replied calmly, "Silly. Of course she looks different because we summoned her from heaven."
Wait, what?
Heaven?
She knew that some people referred to Earth as heaven, but honestly, she wasn’t too sure about that.
[Ding! Ding!]
[Side Mission has been triggered!]
[Side Mission: Hug Your Future Mates to Build Affection]
[Condition: Must be initiated by you]
[Progress: 0/3]
[Reward: Black Market Program Unlocked.]
Maeve froze and murmured, "You’ve got to be kidding me."
Her eyes slowly moved toward the cave entrance, where the voices were coming from. Her heart started beating faster.
Hug them? Initiated by her?
Was this system insane?!
Pinky floated closer to her face, looking way too excited. [This is a great chance, Host! The Black Market will be very important to support your survival in the future!]
Maeve stared at it in disbelief because she thought all she had to do was make babies to survive?!
