Chapter 702: Chapter 702: Don’t Come Any Closer!

Sikong Jian was so amused by the fleeting thought he just had that he couldn’t help but laugh silently.

He was just about to mention how well-placed the stone lions were in front of his mansion, offering her a step down.

Before he could speak, Qin Yao spoke first:

"Since today is just a leisurely day, and my husband will rely on the many forms of support from you in the future, as a woman, I have nothing to repay you with. Let me move these two stone lions to a better position for you."

After speaking, she walked up to the stone lion on the left, clapped her hands, and appeared ready to exert her strength.

"Wait... Miss, what are you doing!" Liu Ji hurried over, shocked and asked.

He deliberately turned his back to the people from the National Master Mansion, winking at Qin Yao and whispering anxiously:

"Miss, are you crazy? It’s enough to just scare them. Boasting about moving the stone lions is just too much!"

He knew she was naturally strong and highly skilled in martial arts, able to single-handedly take down thirty Death Warriors without a problem.

But these stone lions weigh several thousand pounds; it’s not the same as dealing with people!

That’s not even the main concern. What if she gets injured trying to lift the lion? Where would he find another woman as formidable as her?

Liu Ji tried to pull her away, "I bet they didn’t clearly hear what you said just now, let’s just pretend nothing was said, the carriage is here, let’s go home..."

Qin Yao’s legs, however, seemed welded to the ground, refusing to budge. She calmly said, "Step aside, lest you get hurt."

"Miss!" Liu Ji was genuinely worried, stealing a glance at Sikong Jian and the others from the National Master Mansion. They all appeared stunned, not yet recovered from his wife’s "bold declaration."

The opportunity was fleeting; now was the time to leave!

Liu Ji wrapped his arms around Qin Yao’s waist, putting all his strength into it, but he couldn’t budge her from the ground.

She was like a boulder, firmly planted in the earth, impossible to move.

Seeing Sikong Jian and the others gradually coming to their senses and starting to approach, Liu Ji, in his panic, spoke honestly.

"Miss, you’ve done enough for me today. There’s really no need to go this far for me. If Sikong Jian dares to bully me again, I’ll fight him..."

Qin Yao raised a hand, "No, you misunderstand."

Liu Ji, touched to the core, froze, "Huh?"

"I haven’t had a vigorous workout in a long time, I just want to let loose a bit."

Her eyes gleamed as she eyed the large stone lion in front of her, her fists clenching with excitement.

Alert to the approaching Sikong Jian group, Qin Yao turned and raised her hand, stopping their dangerous approach.

"Stay back... go back to the entrance." Qin Yao pointed towards the gate, thoughtfully assigning them a safe zone.

She even tossed Liu Ji, who was clinging to her waist, over with them.

Liu Ji hadn’t yet reacted when he felt the world spin around him. When he steadied himself, he found himself somehow sprawled in Sun Jiang’s arms, a vast distance from his beloved wife.

The two exchanged a glance, momentarily bewildered.

Sun Jiang: Why is he in my arms?

Liu Ji: ???

Once he came to his senses, Sun Jiang, thoroughly grossed out, quickly pushed him away.

Liu Ji got back on his feet, intending to rush back and stop his reckless wife, only for a threatening, cold shout to reach his ears.

Qin Yao: "Stay put."

"... Miss?" Liu Ji watched in amazement as that massive stone lion lifted from the ground with a thunderous sound, leaving him open-mouthed in shock, his jaw nearly dropping.

The surrounding quieted suddenly.

Sikong Jian held his breath, staring at the shocking scene of Qin Yao holding the stone lion aloft by its front paws above her head.

From the sound of the bluestone floor cracking under the immense weight came the muffled thuds.

With each step Qin Yao took while moving the stone lion, the earth seemed to tremor, sending especially strong pulses through the onlookers’ hearts.

Feeling unbearably tense, Sikong Jian instinctively gasped, pointing at the massive moving stone lion, not caring who was beside him, madly slapping the other person’s body.

"Did you see that? Did you see that? A six-thousand-pound stone lion lifted by that woman overhead, is this real? Am I seeing things?"

Liu Ji’s legs had already been weak, and unexpectedly being slapped nearly made him fall over.

Thankfully, Sun Jiang was beside him, preventing him from collapsing as he was sandwiched between Sikong Jian and Sun Jiang’s duo.

"Answer me, answer me, is this real!" Sikong Jian, receiving no response, desperately pressed on, demanding affirmation.

Liu Ji slightly recovered his wits, after all, compared to the surrounding group, his wife’s astonishing feats had already left him dumbfounded many times, so he had developed a certain immunity.

Pressing against the hand relentlessly patting his shoulder, he watched with amazed eyes as the woman caused the earth itself to tremble, and resolutely declared:

"It’s real, this scene before us is real! She is so strong and charming!"

Confusedly frowning, Sikong Jian thought, what nonsense is he talking about?

Seeing Qin Yao, a woman capable of lifting stone lions weighing several thousand pounds, wouldn’t it logically be frightening?

"Boom——!"

The stone lion landed steadily on the ground, standing before the bright red pillars at the entrance of the National Master Mansion.

Sikong Jian could truly feel the tremor coming from under his feet, swallowing nervously, instinctively reaching out to grasp something, steadying himself and maintaining his masterly composure.

Qin Yao let out a contented sigh, shaking her arms and rolling her neck.

The feeling of unleashing all of her bodily strength without restraint was genuinely exhilarating!

She jumped on the spot a few times, forgetting to control her power, and instantly shattered the already cracked bluestone slabs beneath her feet into pieces.

The debris flew, exposing the mud beneath, and with each step, left a pit behind, nearly causing Qin Yao to slip.

Liu Ji, who had been closely watching her situation, felt his heart lift with worry.

Fortunately, she quickly regained control, suppressing her surging energy, happily heading towards the other stone lion.

Even though they had just witnessed an awe-inspiring scene, as the other stone lion was lifted, the people from the National Master Mansion held their breath once more.

None realized that their gaze, initially of shock and fear, had gradually turned to one filled with reverence.

Sikong Jian tightly followed her figure with his gaze, feeling as though the entire world had become unreal and illusory.

In his ingrained understanding, a person should not be able to lift a six-thousand-pound stone lion.

So, was she still human?

With another dull, booming sound, the second stone lion stood firmly before the pillar.

This time, Qin Yao deliberately controlled it, leaving the bluestone beneath the stone lion intact without any signs of cracking.

But when she turned to look back, several pit-like footprints and scattered stones were visible on the once-flat, bright expanse in front of the National Master Mansion gate.

Qin Yao awkwardly glanced at Sikong Jian and slowly approached him, "My apologies, sir."

Sikong Jian: "No, pro-, blem, it can be, fixed."

Gradually recovering his voice from the shock, he forced a smile: "Thank you, Miss Qin, you must be tired."

Inside, his internal self was screaming in collapse: Don’t come any closer!!!
