Chapter 195.2: Lu Changsheng Forms His Own Divine Technique; More Dao Foundation Experts Seek His Help! (II)
One month passed. Then three, then five, then eight...
Lu Changsheng had never been in seclusion for this long before. Once he had devoted himself fully to forming a divine technique, he lost all sense of time.
Again and again, he rearranged the five Principles, tested the combinations, then overturned them and started anew. By now, he had tried tens of thousands of combinations, pushing his already extraordinary Perception to its very limit. It was only during this process that Lu Changsheng truly understood how powerful his current level of Perception was.
In the past, whether he had been comprehending Heavenly Demon Essence Blood, Principles, or practicing divine techniques, he had never come close to exhausting its potential. This time, however, he had touched that limit.
Because of that, he understood two things clearly: his Perception was far more powerful than he had imagined, and forming a compound divine technique from five Principles was far more difficult than he had expected.
Yet despite everything, he was close to creating his own divine technique. He was already halfway through the process and he only needed to push a little further to complete it.
Nine months went by. Then ten months, eleven months, twelve months, and finally thirteen months passed. Then, on one ordinary day, a thunderous boom shook Lu Changsheng's Mind Space.
The five Principles he had spent over a year weaving together suddenly collapsed inward, hanging suspended for one breathless moment before fusing back together. Something new was forming from this process, and a terrifying aura soon spread through his Mind Space.
A divine technique had taken shape—and it was a powerful one. Within his mind Space, it manifested as a mass of black flames that covered a wide range. Wherever those flames swept, everything collapsed and was destroyed; even the void would twist under their power. Ordinary Principles would shatter before this divine technique.
Finally! I've formed a supreme divine technique from five Principles. The Fire Principle serves as its foundation, while the four other principles are woven through it. Now, what should I name it...
Lu Changsheng turned the question over for a long while.
A divine technique should get a name that fits it, something like Flame Current or Firestorm Purgatory; names with weight.
This divine technique I formed draws on the Wind, Metal, Wood, Water, and Fire Principles together, four of which are from the Five Elements. Since I'm still missing the Earth Principle from the Five Elements, I shall call this Lesser Five Elements Annihilation.
Considering everything, he thought this name was rather fitting for his divine technique.
Lu Changsheng had only just formed LesserFive Elements Annihilation and yet to bring it to Perfection. But since he had created it himself from the ground up, Perfection would come without much effort.
In the next instant, Lu Changsheng shifted his thoughts to the divine technique.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
LesserFive Elements Annihilation erupted. His entire Mind Space became a sea of black flames; wherever they swept, everything reduced to ash, utterly and completely annihilated. Under these conditions, the proficiency of LesserFive Elements Annihilation rose quickly.
In less than fifteen minutes, a line of small text appeared before Lu Changsheng's eyes.
[Divine Technique Lesser Five Elements Annihilation has reached Perfection. Perception increased by 5,000 points.]
And just like that, Lu Changsheng's supreme compound divine technique had reached Perfection.
Next, he pulled up his Status Panel to review his current state.

Lesser Five Elements Annihilation: Perfection
His Perception was closing in on 50,000 points, drawing him closer to the 100,000 points threshold. At the same time, his Mental Principle and Fire Principle had both surpassed seventy percent, which meant they were not far from reaching complete Perfection. His remaining Principles had all improved by a significant margin as well.
All six of Lu Changsheng's Principles had advanced greatly. Even if he set aside his divine techniques entirely, his raw strength had grown to a level that left other Dao Foundation experts completely in the dust.
On top of that, he also possessed three compound divine techniques: Firestorm Purgatory, Flame Current, and Lesser Five Elements Annihilation. Each one was powerful, but Flame Current and Lesser Five Elements Annihilation were especially devastating.
I'm still missing the Earth Principle and the Land Principle. Once I have those, I'll have mastered all eight. After that I can work toward bringing each one to Perfection, and perhaps begin thinking about condensing a divine ability.
But... the Earth Principle and the Land Principle seem similar?
Lu Changsheng turned the question over in his mind.
On the surface, the two did appear nearly identical. But when he had condensed his Principle Seeds, he had found they were distinct from one another.
The Earth Principle was one of the Five Elements Principles. It represented the earth element among all things in the world. The Land Principle, on the other hand, was closer in nature to the earth's magnetic field, a separate force with its own character. Thus, despite the apparent similarity of these two Principles, they were, in fact, entirely different.
Heavenly Demon Essence Blood with the earth attribute was not difficult to find; attributes of the Five Elements were common among Heavenly Demon, and the earth element was no exception. Heavenly demons with the land attribute, on the other hand, were rare, and obtaining their essence blood would be even harder.
Lu Changsheng thought for a while longer and made a decision. For now, I'll secure two drops of Heavenly Demon Essence Blood, comprehend the Earth Principle, and complete the Five Elements Principles.
With this next direction settled, Lu Changsheng checked the large formation of his cave residence.
Huh, there are multiple messages, and all of them from Wang Yun...?
He found that somewhat strange. What could she want with him? Their last interaction had been the deal to kill Dao Lord Shan Hai. Beyond that, the two of them had little to do with each other. However, judging by how many messages she had left, there clearly was something she wanted to discuss with him.
Thus, Lu Changsheng left his cave residence and went straight toward Wang Yun's cave residence.

"Oh my! Lu Changsheng is here to visit?" Wang Yun asked. "Well, quick, invite Fellow Daoist Lu in!"
Truth be told, Wang Yun was slightly surprised that Lu Changsheng had come to see her. Several months had passed since Xia Chengfeng and Zhao Yujian had come to her. In that time, she had periodically sent messages to Lu Changsheng but received no reply from any of them. By her calculation, Lu Changsheng had now been in seclusion for about a year and one month.
"Fellow Daoist Lu, I see you've finally come out of seclusion," Wang Yun said, welcoming Lu Changsheng into her cave residence.
Lu Changsheng glanced at her as he stepped in. "Fellow Daoist Wang, why were you looking for me?"
"I was, and it's news that should interest you. Xia Chengfeng and Zhao Yujian came to me a few months ago, intending to enter a large secret realm and compete for Principle Divine Stones. However, they are not confident enough that they could manage it alone.
"After hearing that you killed Dao Lord Shan Hai, they asked me to pass along a message and arrange a meeting with you. And so, that's why I was trying to get in touch with you."
After a brief pause, Wang Yun asked, "So, Fellow Daoist Lu, are you interested?"
Lu Changsheng's gaze sharpened. "Secret realm? Principle Divine Stones?"
He knew what Principle Divine Stones were. They could accelerate a Dao Foundation martial artist's comprehension of Principles, push their progress forward, and even bring a Principle all the way to Perfection. To most Dao Foundation experts, such a treasure was incredibly valuable, but he himself had no need for that at the moment.
He could improve his Principle progress by comprehending Heavenly Demon Essence Blood, so he did not have to rely on treasures like Principle Divine Stones. And even without Heavenly Demon Essence Blood, his Perception alone was enough to grow his Principle progress by three percent each month. Principle Divine Stones were simply not useful to him.
For others, though, things were different. They did not have his level of Perception, so they had to rely on Principle Divine Stones to increase the progress of their Principles and maybe bring them to Perfection. That was why Xia Chengfeng and Zhao Yujian valued the secret realm so much.
"What price are they willing to pay? What are they offering?" Lu Changsheng asked.
If Xia Chengfeng and Zhao Yujian were coming to him for help, he had no intention of offering it for nothing.
"I am not sure about the details," Wang Yun answered, shaking her head. "But if you are willing to hear them out, I'll send word and ask them to drop by your cave residence. Then you can work out the specifics between yourselves."
Wang Yun was only acting as an intermediary, so Lu Changsheng did not press her further and simply thanked her. "Understood. I'm grateful for your help, Fellow Daoist Wang."
Lu Changsheng saw no reason to refuse this opportunity. As it happened, he still needed four drops of Heavenly Demon Essence Blood for all eight Principles, and this could be the opportunity that would provide him with the four final drops.
Whether or not they could really give him what he wanted, he could at least meet Xia Chengfeng and Zhao Yujian first and hear what they had to say.
