Chapter 1097: Chapter 1097: Liar
"Is Adrian Cooper a useless guy? Can’t even keep an eye on someone, yet he’s the damn President." A murderous impulse flashed in Mason Nightshade’s eyes.
He actually let her come to a place like this alone.
Aurelia Shaw: "I wanted to come, who could stop me?"
Paused for a moment, Aurelia Shaw: "Was it you who told Adrian Cooper to hide it from me, not to let me come?"
Mason Nightshade sneered: "Do I even need to say it? He knows you matter the most to me, and I know so many of his secrets. To stop me from leaking military intelligence to the enemy, of course he had to protect you first."
"And now, look at this, that good-for-nothing actually let you come here alone."
"Tsk!" Mason Nightshade lightly furrowed his brow, glanced down at his abdomen, a spot had been pinched red by the woman.
He found it amusing inside.
Do all women love to be so hands-on?
"Listen to me, before they realize you’re in disguise, leave immediately." Mason Nightshade’s expression turned serious.
She came here because of him; how could she leave like this? Aurelia Shaw: "I’ll save you, and we’ll leave together."
"Aurelia dear, be good, listen." Mason Nightshade coaxed softly.
Aurelia Shaw lowered her head, Mason Nightshade couldn’t see the expression on her face at the moment, only telling her to leave quickly, Aurelia Shaw’s nose tingled, "Mason."
She suddenly spoke, her voice hoarse, Mason Nightshade was taken aback, "Hm?"
Aurelia Shaw: "I’ve never asked what you’ve done for me before, but I know you’ve definitely done something. If the person locked up here now was me, would you leave?"
Mason Nightshade pressed his lips tightly, staring at the top of her head for a moment, he said, "Leaving is the best choice."
"So what’s your choice?" Aurelia Shaw insisted on asking.
Mason Nightshade was silent for a moment, "I would leave."
Aurelia Shaw chuckled softly, "Liar."
She lifted her head, the thick foundation on her face masking her subtle expressions.
But Mason Nightshade still saw her reddened eyes, frowning, he held her hand, his fingers moved slightly.
Aurelia Shaw’s red lips curved up, "You can’t be so unfair, just focusing on being that great person yourself. Who are you to decide whose love is more and whose is less?"
She stroked his face.
"If I were to die here this time, I’d be willing to stay with you and die together."
"You’re being reckless, you know that?" Mason Nightshade frowned deeply, glaring fiercely at Aurelia Shaw. If his hands weren’t tied, he might have forcibly pushed Aurelia Shaw away by now.
Looking at the determination in the woman’s eyes, Mason Nightshade sighed, "You really are... ah, I can’t deal with you."
"Baby, I won’t just watch you in danger right in front of me, protect yourself, okay?" Mason Nightshade looked at Aurelia Shaw.
Aurelia Shaw nodded, "I’m not as useless as you think."
"Whether you’re useless or not, I can’t bear to see you in danger in front of me." Mason Nightshade spoke in a low voice, he heard Aurelia Shaw ask him again, "Even if you’re locked up here, there’s not a completely impossible way to escape, why don’t you escape?"
"There are other soldiers from the troop locked up here as well." Mason Nightshade said flatly.
Aurelia Shaw understood, Mason Nightshade wouldn’t leave his brothers here and run away by himself.
But if he knew she would take such a risk to come here alone, he definitely wouldn’t let himself be trapped here.
Even if he left, there would be a way to rescue the people inside.
He would never let his woman come to save him.
"Let’s rescue them together." Aurelia Shaw leaned in close to Mason Nightshade’s ear, her voice faint, Mason Nightshade looked up and met her gaze, the two of them held each other’s gaze for a moment.
