Chapter 1055: Chapter 1055: My Mind Is Filled With You
Mason Nightshade took Aurelia Shaw’s hand and guided her...
Aurelia’s expression went a little stiff. She’d never done anything like this before. She’d wanted to refuse, but... seeing the pained look on Mason’s face, the words she was about to say stuck in her throat and she swallowed them back down.
Seeing her waver, Mason pushed his luck even more.
He practically gave her no room at all to refuse...
"Mm..." Mason let out a muffled groan, kissed Aurelia on the cheek, a strange flush on his face, his voice hoarse and low. "Baby, I love you."
To Aurelia, what he just said sounded about as reliable as saying "Baby, I’ll take responsibility for you" after the fact. No matter how she heard it, it just felt totally untrustworthy.
She suddenly yanked her hand back; her fingers were sticky, and her face looked even worse.
The wolf who’d just gotten his fill looked utterly satisfied. He caught Aurelia’s hand, pulled out a wet wipe, and carefully wiped her clean. Then he said, "Don’t move around. I’ll clean you up properly. Do you have any experience with this kind of thing?"
When Aurelia heard that, her brows arched. "So what you’re saying is, you’re very experienced?"
She paused, then added, "Well, that figures. You used to have so many women buzzing around you. Of course you’d have plenty of experience."
Mason felt like he’d just picked up a rock only to drop it on his own foot.
He said, "I absolutely don’t have any other experience! Every bit of experience I have, I’ve practiced on you."
"Oh, really?" Aurelia lifted a brow and asked. freēwēbηovel.c૦m
She still remembered the child in Eleanor Spencer’s belly.
Even though Mason had explained to her that the child had nothing to do with him, and she did believe what he said...
that child had once hurt her so deeply it wasn’t something she could just let go of in a short time. Even knowing the truth, there was still a shadow left in her heart.
"It’s the honest truth," Mason said. He paused for a moment, then curled his lips into a smile. "But as for experience... does watching little H-movies count? Don’t all men watch them?"
"Back in the army, those bastards were so bored they hoarded piles of that stuff. Grayson Quinn confiscated a lot."
"So you watched all of them?" Aurelia’s brows arched even higher and more boldly.
"I didn’t watch them," Mason said.
Though even if he had, it wasn’t something he’d be afraid to admit.
Who hasn’t seen that kind of stuff when they’re young?
Later on, he lost interest in that kind of thing. It was only when his men were reviewing and screening that stuff that he happened to be there and picked up bits and pieces.
That kind of thing is fine for a look or two when you’re young and hot-blooded.
At his age, he’d long since lost any interest in it.
"Now, I’m only interested in you. I can’t be bothered with that stuff.
My head is completely filled with you. How am I supposed to watch that kind of thing, huh? When I’m watching it, am I supposed to imagine that face on the screen is you?
I’d want to pin you down right away and have my way with you!"
"Mason, you’re absolutely shameless." Aurelia rubbed her forehead as she spoke.
She’d long known this man had a thick skin; the more time she spent with him, the thicker she realized it was.
And he didn’t even see that thick skin as something to be ashamed of.
"What’s the point of knowing that stuff? Knowing it and then not being able to sleep with my own wife?" Mason chuckled. "Only an idiot would do that."
Aurelia knocked him on the head. "You’re not only unashamed, you actually take pride in it, and you even look down on other people. Mason, where’s your dignity as a Major General?" ƒrēewebnoѵёl.cσm
"Can you eat something like ’dignity’?" Mason let out a low laugh.
Once he’d finished cleaning Aurelia up, he finally started to clean himself.
Noticing Aurelia staring at him, he gave her a wicked grin. "Baby, when you stare at me like that, it really makes me want to push you down again."
