Chapter 79: Chapter 79

GWENETH

I swallow the big lump starting to form in my throat as I neared school. What Maverick told me yesterday kept repeating in my head. It was all I thought about all night and still now this morning. It cannot really be the way Maverick says it is. Why would everyone suddenly get involved in a mass bullying on just a single person? It sounds crazy doesn’t it?

If anyone deserves that is Calyx himself. He is the ultimate trouble. It would be nice if everyone could choose to gang up and get rid of him. ƒrēewebnoѵёl.cσm

Every other person in the locker hallway seems to be minding their business. I make a mental note to find and apologize to Calyx for the hundredth time this morning. I trained my eyes on my locker that is still a few steps ahead.

But I suddenly trip over something and fall almost face flat to the ground. My knee had hit the floor so hard that it felt dislocated inside the joint bone. I’m reining in the pain and holding back tears. Behind me, no one seemed like they had done it. It wasn’t just a mere trip. The rough momentum could not have been from just that. I was pushed as well.

With all eyes in the hallway darting to me, snickers and chuckles rising out of every throat, it was impossible to know who had done it. It’s not like I would retaliate anyway even if I know. I swallow down the hurt and stand up. I wasn’t in so much pain that I could not walk almost fine to my locker. Opening my locker resulted in my heart jumping out of my body and another painful fall for me.

A slithering creature almost jump at my face when I open my locker. I jumped back, falling just in time to avoid it. But not for long. The black snake was still slithering on the floor to where I was. I scramble up with a terrified scream. Running as far as my legs could take me. Fear seizes me when students start to gather ahead. I feel a lot approaching behind me too. I scream for them to get away but they only laughed. One said I was screwed. I sighted a door and run to it. They run also, trying to get a hold of me. Luckily I was fast and the door was open. I got in and locked it behind me. Heavy banging ensued. I see an old dusty shelf. The kind they use for books in basic school classes. I drag it with all my strength to the front of the door. Even with that it did not seem like it is going to hold for long. freēwēbηovel.c૦m

They are still banging heavily on it and yelling at me to come out and also spewing profanities. My heart is giving sharp thuds against my chest. I could not believe what was really happening. This can’t be. I put my hands to my ears to try and block it all out. But then the cruel banging stopped. I remove my hands and listened to the absolute silence. It is relieving but iffy. Were they gone? It can’t be. This must be a ploy to get me into coming out by making me believe that they were gone. I want to come out. But they would most likely be there so that would be a foolish thing to do. I see something coming in from under the door. Insects. Upon closer look I found that they were spiders. Not one, not two, not three. There’s a whole fucking army. I scream bloody hell, running around from wall to wall to avoid them.

After a few minutes I realized that that is not the wisest thing to do. They are too many. If I don’t get rid of some of them, they would be crawling over my body in no time. And I can’t allow that to happen. I realize now that my fear of insects are just superficial. They are not a threatening phobia. I should’ve fainted by now if it had been. With that I hold my bag and started to maniacally fling it down to the floor in every direction.

CALYX

I laugh silently when I see that she has gone into the room. It’s not that she was fast to escape. The idiots were too slow. But she running into that room is also great. What she doesn’t know, is that her running into that room is also part of the plan. I saw it coming but did not think she would be able to make it there before she gets caught by the students. Most don’t. Good thing I had prepared something. Shame I have to use it so early. But it’s also fine. The fact that she is in an enclosed space makes it so fucking perfect. Perfect for her to go crazy and lose her mind. She even got a barricade on the door. A flimsy one. I scoff, even a boulder wouldn’t make much of a difference because it would be pushed through by the crowd of students who are all thirsty to bully. It has been quite a while since the last all in target. When I mark out a certain someone as a target, everyone and anyone in this school is free to do whatever they want to that person. Me not marking out an all in target means it is exclusive to just me. I did not plan on marking someone out so soon. Gweneth—or whatever her name is stupidly made herself available. I take out my phone and then put a call to one of my bullying puppets. What’s her name again....? Oh Lisa. I have her contact saved as thirsty bitch. She isn’t my type.

But she gets things done. She is the number one person I notify when I have made a target because she knows how to destroy someone with methods that not even me can think of.
