Chapter 84: Chapter 84
Wendy’s POV
The moment I lunged at him, everything inside me was filled with pure rage and nothing else. My wolf had taken over completely and I could barely think like a human anymore. All I could see was Ethan standing there, the man who killed our mother, the man who had twisted my life, the man who had turned everything into a nightmare. I wanted blood. I wanted revenge. I wanted him dead.
I slammed into him hard, my claws aiming straight for his throat because I wanted to rip it open and watch him choke the same way he had made her choke. He reacted fast though. He always had fast reflexes. He moved to the side and my claws sliced through the air, missing him by a second. The sound that left my throat was loud and feral, and it shocked even me because I had never sounded like that before.
"Wendy," he said sharply, but I did not care.
I attacked again, this time going for his chest. My claws raked across him, tearing through his shirt and cutting into his skin. Blood spilled and the smell filled the room. It only made my wolf more excited. I wanted more of it. I wanted to see him covered in it.
He growled and stepped back, his eyes glowing.
"You really want to fight me?" he asked in a low dangerous voice.
I answered by lunging again.
This time I managed to knock him to the ground. My wolf was stronger than I expected. The anger was making me stronger. I pinned him and tried to bite his neck but he grabbed my jaws with both hands and pushed me back. The strength in his arms was terrifying. Even in human form, he was still Alpha but I was also of the same bloodline too.
We struggled. I clawed at him. He kicked me off. I crashed into the wall but got up immediately. Pain did not matter. Nothing mattered.
I rushed at him again. This time he shifted too.
The bones in his body cracked loudly. His body grew bigger and larger. His wolf was massive, dark, and terrifying. I had seen it before but never like this. His eyes locked on me and for a second fear tried to enter my mind but my anger pushed it away.
We circled each other.
He attacked first.
He lunged and knocked me down. His weight was heavy and crushing. I twisted and managed to bite his shoulder. He roared in pain and bit back, his teeth sinking into my side. I screamed but forced myself to keep fighting. We rolled across the floor, breaking furniture, crashing into walls. The sound of destruction filled the room.
I scratched his face.
He bit my leg.
I clawed his chest again.
He slammed me into the ground.
The fight was brutal and messy. Blood was everywhere. The room looked like a war zone. I could feel my strength slowly fading but I refused to stop. I kept attacking again and again, even when my body screamed in pain.
"You cannot win," his wolf growled inside my mind.
I did not respond.
I lunged again, aiming for his throat one more time. This time he was ready. He grabbed my neck with his jaws and slammed me into the floor. The impact made my vision blur. I tried to get up but he pinned me completely, his weight crushing me so hard I could barely breathe.
I struggled.
I clawed.
I bit.
But he did not move.
His eyes glowed brighter.
Then his Alpha voice filled my head. frёewebηovel.cѳm
"Shift back now."
The command hit me like a heavy force. My body froze. My wolf resisted but the Alpha power was too strong. I tried to fight it but my bones began to shift back against my will. Pain shot through my body as the transformation reversed.
"No," I whispered weakly.
"Shift back," he repeated.
I had no choice.
The next moment I was human again, naked, injured, and weak. My body trembled as I lay on the floor trying to breathe. My wounds burned but they were already healing slowly.
He shifted back too.
For a second he just stood there looking at me. His chest rose and fell, his body covered in blood and scratches but his eyes were calm again. That calmness was scarier than his rage.
I tried to crawl away but my strength was gone.
He walked toward me.
Fear gripped my heart.
"What are you going to do?" I asked weakly.
He did not answer. Instead, he suddenly bent down and lifted me into his arms.
I froze in shock.
This was not what I expected.
I thought he would beat me more. I thought he would kill me. I thought he would punish me. But he just carried me like I weighed nothing and walked toward the inner room.
"Let me go," I struggled weakly.
He ignored me.
"Ethan, stop!"
He pushed the door open and entered the room. It was one of the old rooms in the mansion, empty and quiet. He walked to the bed and dropped me on it.
Before I could move, he grabbed my wrist and snapped something cold around it.
I gasped.
Chains.
He chained both my wrists to the bed.
"What are you doing?" I shouted.
He did not respond.
He chained my ankles too.
Panic exploded inside me."You’ve lost your mind!"
He stepped back and looked at me calmly."So you’ll not leave."
"You cannot keep me here!"
"I can."
"This is insane!"
"You tried to kill me."
"You killed our mother!"
He did not react.
I struggled harder but the chains were strong. I could not break them.
"You’re a monster!" I screamed.
He tilted his head slightly."I am your mate."
"I hate you!"
"I know."
"You cannot force me against my will, Ethan!"
"I do not need to force you," he said quietly.
"Then why are you doing this?"
His lips curved into a cold smile."You will stay here until I return."
My heart skipped."Return from where?"
He looked at me with that same twisted expression.
"I am going to bring Riley back."
My breath stopped."What?"
"And until then," he continued calmly, "you will remain here."
Fear and shock hit me at once.
He turned and walked toward the door.
"Ethan, don’t you dare!" I shouted—
