Chapter 132: Chapter 132
Riley’s POV
The pain did not ease even for a second.
It stayed there, deep inside my body, spreading slowly in a way that made it hard to breathe properly, and every small movement only made it worse.
My head felt heavy and my hip burned so badly that it felt like something was tearing through me from the inside.
Then I became aware of something else.
Movement.
Not just small movements, but fast, steady motions. My body was being carried, and the wind brushed against my face in a way that told me whoever was holding me was moving at a very high speed.
My brows furrowed slightly as I forced my eyes open.
At first, everything looked unclear, like my vision was struggling to catch up, but slowly the shapes started forming, and then I saw him.
Ethan.
My breath caught immediately.
For a second, I thought I was imagining it because there was no way he should be here, no way he should be the one holding me, but when I blinked and looked again, nothing changed.
He was still there.
He was carrying me in his arms like I belonged to him, running at an insane speed, his body already in that half-shift form that made him stronger and faster.
The surroundings were rushing past us, and from what I could see, we were no longer anywhere near Obsidian Veil.
We were outside. Far away.
My heart started racing despite how weak I felt.
I closed my eyes again tightly, hoping that when I opened them, this would all disappear.
But when I opened them again, it was still the same.
It was real.
"Ethan..." I managed to call, my voice weak and strained.
He did not respond. Not even a glance. It was like I had not spoken at all.
Fear rose in my chest immediately.
No.
This could not be happening.
I could not let him take me.
Not again.
I lifted my hand and started hitting his chest weakly, putting whatever strength I had left into it even though it barely affected him.
"Ethan, let me go," I said, trying to sound firm even though my voice came out uneven.
He did not slow down. He did not loosen his grip either.
If anything, his hold around me tightened slightly, like he was making sure I would not slip away from his grasp.
"Are you serious right now?" I snapped, my frustration growing quickly. "Did you not hear me? Put me down!"
He kept running like I was not even there. That only made my anger worse.
I kept hitting him again, even though it hurt me more than it hurt him.
"You are actually insane," I muttered, my breathing becoming heavier. "You cannot just grab me and run off like this, what is wrong with you? I’m hurt"
Still nothing.
He ignored every word like it meant nothing to him.
After what felt like too long, he finally slowed down, and then he stopped completely when we reached a quiet main road.
He lowered me carefully to the ground, almost gently, like he thought that made any of this better.
The moment my feet touched the ground, my body almost gave out completely, but I forced myself to stay upright, even if it hurt badly.
I looked up at him immediately, anger burning in my eyes.
"What the hell do you think you are doing?" I demanded, my voice sharp and filled with disbelief.
Instead of answering me, he looked down at my wound like that was the only thing that mattered.
"I managed to stop the bleeding on our way," he said calmly, completely ignoring my question like it was not even worth answering.
I stared at him in disbelief.
"You are not healed yet," he continued like I had not spoken. "When we get back to Crescent Hollow, I will treat you properly."
I let out a short, disbelieving laugh.
"Are you actually serious right now?" I asked, shaking my head. "I just asked you a question and you are standing here talking about treating me like I asked you for help."
He did not react to my tone at all. That calmness of his only made me angrier.
"Ethan, are you okay?" I asked, my voice turning cold and mocking. "Or do you actually want to die? Because if you think the Alphas are just going to sit back after this, then you are even more stupid than I thought."
He gave a small chuckle, like what I said amused him.
"I will not be the one dying," he replied calmly. "They will."
I stared at him like he had completely lost his mind.
"You really believe that, do you?" I shot back. "You think you can take them on now?"
He did not answer that directly, but the look in his eyes told me he believed it.
That alone was enough to confirm it.
"You have lost it completely," I said bluntly. "You need help, like actual medical help, because this is not normal anymore. You are not thinking straight. You journeyed your way here just to kidnap me?"
He stepped closer slightly, his gaze still fixed on me.
"I am thinking very clearly and I did not kidnap you," he said.
"No, you are not thinking clearly," I snapped immediately. "Because if you were, you would not be standing here acting like you still have any right over me."
His expression shifted slightly at that."You are still my wife," he said.
I laughed again, but this time there was nothing amused about it.
"Your wife?" I repeated, staring at him like he had said something ridiculous. "You still think that means something?"
"It does," he said firmly.
"It does not," I shot back just as fast. "You lost that right the moment you chose your Stepsister over family."
His jaw tightened, but I was not done.
"You do not get to come back now and act like nothing happened," I continued, my voice rising with anger. "You do not get to pretend like you did not ruin everything with your hands, Ethan"
"You are still mine, those things can be in the past" he said again, like he was trying to convince both of us.
That made my stomach turn.
"Stop saying that," I snapped harshly. "You sound insane like a psychopath"
"I am not yours," I continued, my voice firm despite the pain. "I will never be yours again, and you need to get that through your head."
His eyes darkened slightly, but instead of arguing, he just looked at me in a way that made my skin crawl.
His gaze moved over me slowly, taking in my condition, the blood, the way I was barely standing.
And there was something wrong in the way he was looking at me.
Something that made me feel disgusted.
"You need help," I said again, my voice colder now. "Because this is not normal behavior. You do not just take someone against their will and act like it is fine. That is not love, that is a psycho-obsession, and it is sick, you need to stop."
He did not deny it. That made it worse.
"You can call it whatever you want," he said quietly, "but it does not change anything."
"It changes everything," I replied immediately. "I hate you so fucking much, Ethan."
The words came out without hesitation. They were real.
He went silent for a moment, but his expression did not soften.
If anything, it became more intense.
"You will not say that when we get back," he said.
"Back where?" I asked, already not liking where this was going.
"Crescent Hollow," he answered.
My heart dropped instantly.
"No," I said firmly, shaking my head. "I am not going anywhere with you."
"You do not have a choice," he replied.
Anger flared up again. "Watch me," I snapped.
He stepped closer again, his voice lowering.
"You do not understand yet," he said. "Once we get there, the Alphas will never get a chance to see you again."
Something about the way he said that made my chest tighten. freewebnøvel.com
Fear. Real fear enveloped me, this is not the Ethan I knew, something about him had changed and he has turned worse.
I looked at him for a second, really looked at him.
And in that moment, it became clear.
He was not going to listen.
He was not going to stop. freēwebnovel.com
He was not going to let me go.
Not willingly.
That was all I needed to know.
Without saying another word, I turned around and took off in a run as much as I could.
"You can’t run now Riley or do you want to play hide and seek?"
