Chapter 1119: 735 You are biased, you need to change.

"Sweetie, do you feel any better now?"

A woman with a worried face tenderly held the slender and delicate fingers of her daughter on the hospital bed.

However, the girl on the bed was extremely irritable. She seemed repulsed by the hand holding hers. "Let go! Your hand is all sweaty; it’s disgusting."

"Alright, Sweetie, Mom won’t hold your hand anymore. You shouldn’t get angry." The woman quickly let go of her hand and once again looked at the girl with concern. "Sweetie, do you still feel uncomfortable?"

"You’re talking nonsense! My stomach is about to burst." The girl’s tone was clearly irritated. "You’re really useless. Go find my dad. Let him find me a doctor, the best one."

The woman seemed to be used to the girl’s tone and didn’t show any signs of anger, and stayed by her side, patiently caring for her.

"Mom has already called your dad, but he’s out of town and can’t come right now. No worries though; Director Huang, whom Mom found for you, is the best specialist."

"What the hell specialist? Chinese herbal medicine? It’s so bitter it could kill you!" The girl was extremely uncomfortable lying on her side. She twisted her body slowly to lie flat on her back. "Now go buy me a bottle of Coke. I want to wash out the taste in my mouth."

"Sweetie, you just took some Chinese herbal medicine. You can’t drink Coke now, or it will interfere with the medicinal properties." The woman walked hurriedly to the head of the bed, picking up a bottle of mineral water, and said, "Drink this. Rinsing your mouth with it will work the same."

The girl was very discontented and even shot the woman a fierce look. "You’re so meddlesome! I’m not drinking."

Before the girl finished her sentence, she began to moan and unconsciously placed her hand on her swollen lower abdomen.

The woman felt heartbroken and hurriedly went over to her. "Sweetie, does it hurt again?"

"Get away! Your voice makes my pain worse."

"Sweetie, don’t get angry. Mom will stay away."

The woman obediently moved a few steps back.

About ten minutes later, the moaning of the girl on the bed grew louder. This made the woman, standing to one side, wipe her tears while watching the girl with concern.

"Stop dawdling! Go buy me an iced Coke; my throat is on fire."

"Sweetie, drink some water. We’ll have Coke when you feel better."

"Are you blind? Can’t you see my lips are cracking?" The girl seemed extremely irritable. "I don’t care, I want it!"

The girl’s yelling echoed throughout the hospital room. She even ripped off her blanket. "What’s with the heating in this damn hospital? It’s too hot! This is extremely annoying."

Then, the girl took her temper out on the woman once again.

The woman had no choice but to reluctantly go out, saying that she was going to buy Coke for the girl.

Once she was outside, the woman quickly wiped her tears. But instead of going to the supermarket downstairs, she turned into the stairwell.

In the stairwell, the woman began to cry with her face in her hands, the hallway echoing with her low sobs.

It was uncertain how long she cried, but only after letting out all her grievances did she wipe her face and exit the stairwell.

She had decided to say that it was still cold and the hospital didn’t have iced Coke.

However, as she reached the corridor, she saw several nurses and doctors striding swiftly into her daughter’s hospital room.

She was taken aback. Her mind, which had just started to relax, tensed up again, and she hurried back to the hospital room.

When she entered the hospital room, she saw a large circle of doctors and nurses around her daughter’s bed. In a panic, she pushed through the crowd and rushed forward.

But what she saw upon reaching the front was not what she had imagined.

She noticed her daughter, who was bending over the edge of the bed, continuously retching.

"Director Huang, what’s going on?" The woman, flustered, grabbed Director Huang’s arm, desperately seeking an answer.

At this moment, Director Huang frowned. "Where were you all this time? How could you leave your daughter alone in the hospital room?"

The woman answered flusteredly, "She wanted an iced Coke, so I went to buy one for her."

"Iced Coke?" An intense gleam flashed in Director Huang’s eyes.

The woman hastily explained, "I know she’s not allowed to drink it, so I didn’t actually go buy one." She then turned her head to look at her daughter, who was still retching on the bed, and asked anxiously, "Director Huang, what’s wrong with my daughter?"

"She has a high fever, difficulty breathing, and continually feels nauseous." Director Huang, frowning again, stared at the girl on the bed and said, "Also, her hands seem a bit odd; she can’t stretch them out, and her speech is slurred."

"AHHHH!" The woman was stunned. She had only been away for a little while! How did things get this bad?

At this moment, her mind went blank.

After a while, Director Huang, noticing that the girl wasn’t in any imminent danger, called over Director Yang, and they both left the hospital room together.

On the way to his office, Director Huang’s face was grim.

Director Yang, not sure if it was due to Director Huang’s stern face or because he actually didn’t understand the situation, followed closely behind, keeping his head down, and murmuring to himself, "This is impossible. It doesn’t make sense."

Director Huang was feeling extremely irritated. He initially wanted to lose his temper, but when he saw that Director Yang’s hair on the left side had completely fallen out of place, and that dense beads of sweat covered his crown, he swallowed the words that were on the tip of his tongue.
