Chapter 354: Chapter 354 - The Grand Conclave of Aretuza 05.

[Chapter Size: 2100 Words.]

Third Person POV

Aretuza.

...

...

As Madara had said, a clone left Aretuza using teleportation with Hiraishin. He appeared at one end of the coast, near the castle of Aretuza, keeping himself hidden under a hooded cloak and an ANBU mask.

With hand seals, he began to create several wood clones. "You know what to do," said the main clone.

The other clones nodded in confirmation and immediately disappeared, advancing throughout the region.

The main clone remained still for a moment, watching Aretuza shining in the middle of the darkness of the night. The hall was the most illuminated point, at the center of the academy.

While the clones spread stealthily across the region, Madara and Ciri finished another dance. Finally, they stepped away from the dance floor.

Tissaia gave a signal that they were about to begin. They could not wait much longer, as people were becoming increasingly drunk, and the true purpose of the meeting could not be handled efficiently if everyone was under the influence of alcohol, which had been served since the beginning.

"I just hope Tissaia starts soon. Philippa will be coming here shortly," Yennefer murmured as she approached the two, looking at them with a smile. "You did well. Those idiots really thought they could separate you."

"As if we would do that..." Ciri said, crossing her arms.

"I’m sure of it, aren’t I, Geralt?" Yennefer commented with a light laugh.

Geralt kept a neutral expression but did not deny it.

"And that face there, dad?" Ciri teased, looking at him with a smile.

Geralt merely shrugged, returning to observe the hall. There were still many people at the banquet, and the gazes remained fixed on them, as if they were sugar surrounded by ants. Triss was nearby, holding Sabrina and Margarita, while Keira made a few comments.

It was then that a sound echoed through the hall. Tissaia tapped her utensil against the glass, drawing everyone’s attention.

"Attention, everyone. I think it’s best we begin now. We can continue socializing after the banquet. I’m sure there will be much to talk about..."

With those words, the bards stopped playing. The dance floor began to empty, and people gathered, turning their attention to Tissaia — and inevitably to Madara as well.

"Well... now we will address the matter of this night: a possible portal opened to a dangerous dimension, called the Dark Dimension, or the Void dimension."

She paused briefly.

"As everyone knows, thousands of years ago we had the event of the Conjunction of the Spheres, which opened portals and brought humans and monsters into this world. We may not fully understand that phenomenon... but now we are facing something different, yet also very similar..."

Tissaia looked around.

"An unknown world. A dangerous world. And, as everyone knows, Lord Madara Uchiha had direct contact with a being from this dimension during the war."

"A being that planned to use a terrible necromancy ability to raise an entire army from the soldiers who fell in the war between Nilfgaard and the North," she said, while everyone watched attentively.

"Well... just talking about this won’t solve much. It’s better to show it." Her gaze turned to Madara.

"Shall we begin?" she asked.

Madara nodded and stepped forward together with Ciri.

"I want the upper floor cleared. Everyone must gather on the ground floor," Tissaia ordered to those still on the staircase.

All the mages began to descend. Madara, Ciri, and Tissaia went up, while one of Tissaia’s assistants brought a young woman of about twenty years old. She was not a sorceress, just an ordinary person who would be used that night to assist in the demonstration.

Obviously, she would not suffer any harm. She would serve only as a vessel for the memories that Madara would implant, while Tissaia would use mental magic to project those memories — just as she had done at the meeting between kings and sorcerers after the war, when Madara revealed his true powers by destroying Nilfgaard’s army.

In the same way that Tissaia had shown memories of soldiers and even of Yennefer — which was more difficult due to magical resistance — now they would do this with a common person just as it happened with the soldier. Unlike Yennefer, who felt pain for being a magical individual and having natural mental shields, an ordinary person would have no pain or risks.

"Can we begin?" the assistant asked, positioning the young woman at the center.

She seemed nervous.

Madara approached. "Look into my eyes. I will just place some memories in you. Relax," he said, in a calm tone.

The young woman nodded timidly. Then their eyes met, and immediately she was placed under a genjutsu as the Sharingan was activated.

Madara not only implanted the memories of the fight against that creature, but also the encounter with the black cat and dog — entities that had spoken about their dimension, in Olgierd’s mansion after Madara freed them.

Madara finished and looked at Tissaia, who nodded.

The young woman blinked a few times as she came out of the trance, clearly frightened by what she had seen. A gentle touch from Tissaia calmed her.

"Let’s begin."

With those words, Tissaia began to summon water. The liquid rose from within a vase brought by the assistant and began to float in the air, forming a sphere above the staircase.

The crowd watched attentively. The water began to shape itself, creating vivid images of the implanted memories.

Madara observed each person present, analyzing expressions, trying to identify possible enemies that night.

’Did you find anything?’, Ciri asked telepathically.

’No... there is nothing in the region,’ Madara replied, with a serious look.

There was no sign of enemies lurking along the entire coast. His clones had spread quickly, covering kilometers, but found nothing — not even traces of chakra. That indicated they were not hiding there.

’Which makes me think it’s them...’, Madara continued.

’Them...? You’re talking about the Wild Hunt!?’, Ciri asked, horrified.

’It makes more sense,’ Madara said. ’They can simply appear here out of nowhere. If it were others, they would be hiding — even if they were shinobi from another continent, they would be using some technique to disguise themselves. With the level of my Sharingan, I would be able to find them.’ He paused briefly.

’Besides, after what happened in Skellige, where they lost navigators and soldiers so easily, it’s very likely they contacted your biological father to set this up. Emhyr probably has no idea of their true objective.’

’Take me...’, Ciri murmured.

’Exactly. They want to take you to their world. They must have used as an excuse the fact that they want to eliminate me, since I am a threat to both.’

That made sense. Those involved did not seem to care about the order to keep Ciri alive — because, in truth, that had always been the main objective. To deceive Emhyr while getting rid of Madara.

It was at that moment that Madara noticed a new group entering.

They were a bit late. They were the druids of Skellige, led by Mousesack.

"What is he doing here?", Ciri murmured, surprised. She liked Mousesack, but upon seeing who accompanied him, she was even more shocked.

"I don’t know...", Madara replied, frowning...

His gaze fixed on a man he had not seen for months.

Dandelion.

He was probably in Skellige, but it seemed he had ended up coming with Mousesack.

The bard entered with a curious look, clearly impressed. His eyes shone as he observed the sorceresses — women of almost impossible beauty — and then turned to the enormous sphere of water projecting images into the air.

Then, he opened a smile upon seeing Madara standing at the top of the staircase, beside Tissaia and the young woman being used in the demonstration.

Dandelion saw Geralt and Yennefer and pointed excitedly, drawing Mousesack’s attention, and began to approach.

The druids followed him.

Even so, few paid attention to their arrival.

Everyone’s attention was focused on the projection. There was a certain prejudice in the air. Sorcerers tended to be elitist — and, for many of them, druids were not worthy of much consideration. Studying nature and having magic through it was a kind of regression for some of them. Nature only served for them to be able to exchange elements for magic.

In any case, the image began to form.

It was Madara’s point of view.

First, he encountered the walking corpses — monsters that were dead, but resurrected as lifeless creatures. Soon after, he advanced against them.

The fight began. fɾeeweɓnѳveɭ.com

Madara moved with a skill that shocked everyone. With only taijutsu, he destroyed the enemies even while surrounded. Murmurs arose throughout the hall — no one had ever seen someone fight like that. He was just a fifteen-year-old boy at that time, yet he was already extremely deadly.

When he realized he could not defeat them with physical strength alone, he unleashed flames, setting everything around ablaze while the monsters fell one by one.

The scene changed.

Now he fought alongside Geralt against a Fiend, in front of the sorcerers of the North. Together, they found the creature’s weak point, and Madara delivered the final blow, eliminating it.

Now it was an entire place taken over by an army of corpses. So many monsters, animals, and men of Nilfgaard who had been killed on that mountain.

The creature appeared before him, speaking briefly before they advanced against each other. The battle began quickly.

Everyone watched a fight unlike anything they had ever seen.

Fire jutsus, clones, lightning blades — techniques emerged one after another. At the same time, the Vaith also demonstrated its powers, opening a veil in space — a kind of rift, similar to a wormhole. Its black flames and swift scythe cut through the air, while it surrounded Madara with undead monsters of all kinds.

At one moment, Madara created three clones, launching a combined fire jutsu. The Vaith responded by opening three magical circles of black flames.

Fire against fire.

The flames collided with force, generating an impressive impact. That was among the highest levels of power many sorcerers could even imagine reaching. Even the mages present watched with admiration.

They had already heard of what Madara was capable of, or had even witnessed parts of it during the war... but seeing that battle, fought when he was still fifteen years old, was something completely different.

It was terrifying. In the end, Madara won.

Taking advantage of a mistake made by the enemy itself — which had revealed that it could only be destroyed by something from its own world — Madara tore a bone from the creature and drove it directly into the sphere in its hollow chest, its core.

The structure began to crack. And then... it broke.

The Vaith began to die.

But its final words echoed through the hall, sending a chill down the spine of everyone present.

It promised that it would return.

That it would not die there. That it would return to its world, rebuild itself... and come back to seek revenge. And, this time, it would devastate that world as it had always planned.

"It’s not over yet," Tissaia said, before people began speaking among themselves.

The conversations faded, giving way to a more serious expression.

Those who were still skeptical began to show concern. Even those who seemed to be plotting something now showed signs of conflict.

Fools. Madara looked at them with a certain disdain. Instead of investigating that threat in the three years following the war, with Madara’s own warning about the Vaith and its dimension, kings and sorcerers had been more concerned with pursuing him and discovering other continents. Meanwhile, Madara and Ciri had simply continued training in Kaer Morhen at the time.

The projection continued.

Now, it showed Madara talking to a black cat and a black dog — entities from that dimension. A brief conversation revealed more about that world... and also a way to track its energy.

That made the threat even more real.

When it ended, the hall fell into silence.

Even the most experienced sorcerers and the oldest mages seemed shaken.

All the knowledge they possessed... had not been enough to prepare them for that.

Not even Hen Gedymdeith, under Madara’s control, managed to hide the glint of surprise in his eyes as he witnessed all of it.
