Ravena step forward, she looked him making sure about his decision.
She looked at him and nodded.
"Let’s begin the process then..."
She raised her hand, and a complex, glowing red magical structure opened in her palm. It floated in the air between them. The magic circle contained various unfamiliar runes and intricate patterns that were completely beyond Alen’s comprehension.
As the spell formed, she poured her mana into it.
"Pour your mana into it as well," she instructed.
Alen stepped forward and channeled his mana. As the spell sucked his energy in, their mana merged together, and the bonding process began. Ravena pushed her hand above the glowing spell, began to chant in an ancient, melodic language, and then looked at Alen with a nod.
"I, Ravena, the Spiritual Manifestation of Godless, do hereby take an oath to share my power with Alen, the weakling..."
Alen looked at her with clear displeasure but didn’t say anything yet.
"...My condition is that Alen’s mind and power will be shared between us. In exchange, I will grant him fifty percent of my power. I take this oath and vow to fully follow its rules according to the Order of the Universe."
She looked at him, waiting for him to continue after her.
Alen gave her a sweet smile. He stepped forward, pushed his hand above the spell, and began to repeat the exact same ancient chant she had just muttered.
Ravena looked at him in absolute shock. She hadn’t expected him to hear the complex chant she muttered under her breath, let alone actually memorize it! And why was he chanting the initiation spell again instead of simply following her oath?
"I, Alen, the Outlier, take an oath of my own according to my own conditions," Alen declared boldly.
"My condition is that Ravena, the spirit of Godless, will share one hundred percent of her power with me and have absolutely no control over my body or soul."
"...Ravena, the Spirit, will be completely restricted from harming me, the new owner of Godless. I command my oath to merge with hers!"
As Alen uttered those words, the new oath circle he had formed violently crashed into and merged with Ravena’s circle.
"What the— are you mad?! Do you want to kill us both?!" Ravena yelled, her emotionless facade completely shattering in panic.
"Your soul will be—!"
Suddenly, the spell swirled with chaotic red energy and blasted both of them backward.
Alen and Ravena shot off in opposite directions. The spell started to grow rapidly in size. A turbulent flow of mana filled the White Haven as dark, ominous clouds began to form overhead. The spell floated high into the sky, expanding until it was several kilometers wide.
Ravena looked up at the sky and shuddered. With her ancient senses, she could see that the fundamental flow of the Order of the Universe was going completely haywire.
She looked over at Alen. Her face was tense, but she forced her expression to remain as blank as possible, even though absolute chaos was brewing just above her head.
"You have messed with something you shouldn’t have," she said coldly.
"You will regret this, even in your afterlife."

It felt like the weight of the entire universe was crashing down on them. Both Alen and Ravena, who had fallen to the floor, were forcibly sucked in by the immense pressure. Their bodies were violently dragged toward the falling crimson halo.
As the catastrophic spell crashed down over him, Alen braced himself to die yet again.
But just before his life slipped away...
