Chapter 2310: Chapter 2735: Sorrow
Going away, perhaps it’s better for her.
After being sent to the hospital, Ye’s mother was pushed into the operating room.
Ye Tianjing sat outside the operating room, looking vacant, and Ye’s father sat with him.
"Don’t worry too much, your mom won’t blame you." He patted his shoulder.
Ye Tianjing wiped his face: "If only I hadn’t argued with her then, she could have taken it. I could have gone downstairs to make a call, don’t you think?"
"Who called you?" Ye’s father asked.
"Ranran."
Those two words are like a curse for Ye’s mother; whenever they’re heard, an attack is inevitable.
Ye’s father showed no surprise.
"It’s not your fault; it’s really not your fault."
Ye Tianjing wanted to say something more, but his phone rang again. He picked it up to see it was Ye Ranran calling.
Without much thought, he answered it.
"Ranran, something happened to mom," Ye Tianjing said.
What does it have to do with her? She’d rather wish the opposite side were dead.
But the opposite is her brother, their mom, so she naturally couldn’t say that.
"Bro, where are you now? Should I come to see you?" Ye Ranran sighed and asked.
"I’m at the hospital. You don’t need to come especially, the result hasn’t come out yet."
Let’s talk after the results are out; there’s not much use in her coming now.
"I should come; I’m somewhat related to this."
If she hadn’t made the call, things wouldn’t have turned out this way.
"Alright." Ye Tianjing didn’t say anything more.
He felt that this time, it was likely the last time Ye Ranran would see their mother.
However deep the grievances, they all dissipate when a person dies.
"Is she coming?" Ye’s father asked.
"Yes." Ye Tianjing nodded, "I agreed."
Meaning, whatever he says now is futile.
"It’s alright, let her come." Ye’s father looked worried.
Ye Tianjing wanted to say something but ended up silent.
Ye Ranran soon arrived, but Jun Mo Han didn’t come; One came with her instead.
"How’s it? Any news?"
Ye Tianjing shook his head, "No."
Ye Ranran sat beside him, "How much longer will it take?"
"I don’t know." Ye Tianjing looked at the operating room, shaking his head.
Ye Ranran didn’t know what to say, so she just patted his shoulder and accompanied him.
By midnight, the operating room door still hadn’t opened. One said to Ye Ranran, "Madam, you should go rest. I’ll keep watch here."
Her health didn’t allow for staying up late; Ye Tianjing knew it and urged her too, "Yes, Ranran, you should rest first, I’ll watch here."
Ye Ranran’s eyes were almost closing, and upon hearing this, she stood up without resistance: "Then I’ll lie down for a while, call me if anything comes up."
The hospital had prepared a rest room long ago; Ye Ranran was just a few steps away.
After sending her off, One returned.
He leaned against the wall, his presence adding to the eerie coldness of the hospital corridor.
Initially, Ye Tianjing felt somewhat sad, but with One there, he couldn’t indulge in it.
In truth, he felt more guilty than sad about this matter.
Although saying he felt nothing would be a lie.
The person lying inside, after all, was his mother.
But to say he felt deeply sad and upset, that wasn’t true either.
The operating room doors finally opened at six in the morning.
The doctor issued a critical condition notice, advising to prepare for final arrangements before the day ends.
