Chapter 1327: Chapter 1324: The Wedding Motorcade Blocked on the Road

Upon hearing that Griffith Squire had arrived at the villa entrance, Leah hurriedly tried to push Richard Shaw away.

Richard Shaw held onto the warm, soft jade in his arms; not even Griffith Squire’s arrival, or even the emperor himself, could make him let go.

"Don’t move, you have to face your brother sooner or later. Even if he disapproves, I’m not letting go of you," the man’s slightly husky, deep voice said, enveloping her slender frame in his embrace, shielding her from the cold wind outside.

Leah was slightly taken aback, looking up at the man’s resolute face, her almond eyes narrowed, and she hugged him, smiling broadly, asking, "No regrets?"

"No regrets," Richard Shaw said hoarsely and steadily, his eyes full of tenderness, with a gaze so fiery it could melt a person.

Delphine watched the two, lost in each other’s affection, seemingly forgetting that the main characters today were Griffith Squire and Aurora Coldwell. She couldn’t help but rub her forehead, hurriedly crossing the courtyard to wait for Griffith’s convoy.

Meanwhile, the flashy convoy was stopped midway.

"Boss, the car in front refuses to move, and a lot of people and vehicles are blocking our convoy," Cornelius Turner reported after getting out to investigate and then rushing back.

Griffith Squire’s exceptionally handsome face turned slightly ashen; the traffic jam had lasted over ten minutes and was incredibly frustrating.

"Drive them away, move the car. If they want wedding candy, give them wedding candy; if they want red envelopes, give them red envelopes. Do I need to teach you this?" Griffith said impatiently, repeatedly checking his watch. If he weren’t the groom today, and unable to rough people up, he would have resolved this himself.

"The roadblock ahead is a large transport truck with no driver. Behind us are nothing but sports cars, with the line extending over a hundred meters," Cornelius reported grimly, unsure which scoundrel planned this, blocking the road with three large transport trucks; even with their wealth, ramming into them was not practical due to their size.

The opposition had chosen their location wisely, bypassing the main road, opting for the villa’s near entrance, blocking the wedding convoy, making the scenario seem premeditated beyond a doubt.

Not only did they block their path, but they also used luxury cars like they were worthless, lining them up to form a barrier. If the boss, in his anger, ordered the cars to run through, it could mean billions in damages within moments.

Griffith’s almond eyes narrowed, his handsome face darkened as he got out to witness the seemingly endless traffic jam ahead, his face turning ashen.

This was a deliberate ploy to ruin his wedding. Once he found out which rascal was responsible, he’d personally see they were done for.

The wedding convoy consisted of over ten extended Rolls Royces, now stuck with no forward or backward movement. Where have you heard of a wedding party having to turn back and find another route? They were effectively hijacked halfway, unable to move.

While Griffith’s convoy was stuck on the road, at the makeshift wedding villa, everyone waited anxiously. The phones rang off the hook, busy with calls, people were bustling around.

Ignatius Leclair arrived leisurely at the little villa, a broad smile he couldn’t hide, with a pair of adorably dressed flower children.

Benjamin Leclair’s look today was that of a little flower fairy, wearing a white lace dress, her hair styled up with a floral crown, her large, beautiful eyes blinking prettily like a fairy. Nicholas Carter wore a red little suit with his hair styled smartly like a gentleman.

Both children got out holding small flower baskets, instantly running happily to their mom standing at the door, sweetly calling out, "Mommy, Mommy."

The two little ones, like little cannonballs, rushed into Delphine’s arms. She bent down, hugging one and kissing the other, then exchanging turns, enveloping both their soft little bodies in her embrace.

"Benjamin and Nicholas look so pretty today," Delphine said, looking at the two little ones, her heart melted.

"Do I look like a little fairy?" Benjamin twirled gracefully with her flower basket, sweetly saying, "Daddy said I can’t embarrass him."

Delphine chuckled softly, standing up to notice Ignatius left out a bit, saying, "Take the kids inside first, I’ll wait for Griffith’s convoy to arrive."

Ignatius approached, wrapping an arm around her, and said enigmatically, "It’s cold outside. We’ll take the kids inside and wait; it’s the same thing."

The thought of waiting half an hour for Griffith’s convoy amused him. This rascal, known for his ruthlessness, was sure to have many people eager to mess with him, not just himself.

Ignatius’s lips curled into a mysterious smile. He’d merely paid someone to block the road and stationed ten luxury cars as a temporary wall. The three large transport trucks and the convoy behind them were unrelated to him.

Being disliked because of the way he usually acted, even his wedding invited crowds eager to cause trouble for him, truly reminiscent of Griffith.

Seeing the convoy wouldn’t arrive anytime soon, Delphine led Benjamin and Nicholas into the villa, finding it too cold to wait outside.

The family of four entered the courtyard, where they saw Leah and Richard already sitting on a bench. The man had taken off his thick coat to drape over her, and they sat hand in hand, almost kissing each other.

Ignatius noted the sugary sweet atmosphere they emitted, almost making his teeth ache. Remembering being used as a punching bag by Richard and being sore all over for the last month, he raised an eyebrow, teasingly saying, "Colonel Shaw now reminds me of a certain animal."

Richard and Leah had been getting cozy for some time. As the saying goes, absence makes the heart grow fonder. To them, three days or nights together were easily cozy enough. Seeing Ignatius approach unmindfully, Leah asked displeased, "What animal?"

"A pink bubble-blowing octopus," Ignatius stood, arms crossed, artfully demonstrating, laughing with a mischievous look.

Almost like he could stick an "I’m in love" sign on his forehead.

Colonel Shaw’s handsome face turned dark immediately, glaring daggers at Ignatius, signaling with his eyes: beat it, stop babbling.

Leah, being a bit shy, found her intimacy disrupted. Seeing Delphine with the two little ones, she immediately approached, laughing, "Wow, what beautiful little flower children! I want to take them home."

"Pretty Auntie, we belong to Mommy’s family, you can’t take us home," Benjamin earnestly responded with her childish voice.

"Then pretty Auntie will book you in advance. When you grow up, maybe you’ll want to come home with pretty Auntie," Leah said, picking up Benjamin, giving her two kisses.

Benjamin tilted her fluffy little head, not quite understanding, her dark eyes blinking as she looked at her mommy.

On the side, Ignatius wore a dark expression, coldly sneering. He knew the Shaws envied him having a daughter and had been thinking about it for a while now.

His little sweetheart was only five—trying to abduct his little Benjamin right in front of him, huh?
