Chapter 1314: Chapter 1311: Dating, Having Kids, and No Interest in Career

The uproar caused by the Coldwell Clan’s press conference was not at all on the minds of those involved.

The two had just left the venue when Griffith Squire suddenly stopped, glancing at his cute and adorable little wife beside him. With a hint of regret, he said, "I was so focused on registering the marriage that I forgot to buy rings. What a blunder."

Aurora Coldwell thought it was something serious, but seeing his regretful look, she chuckled lightly and said, "It’s okay. You’ve already given me the most expensive diamond ring."

The Coldwell Clan itself was the most expensive diamond ring he could give.

"That’s different. You only get married once in a lifetime, it’s the same for both of us. Whatever others have, you must have too." Griffith Squire smiled, "There are so many post-marriage things we need to discuss."

The two hardly considered anything before getting their marriage certificate, and now, post-certification, there are many things to consider.

"Where will we settle in the future? If we live in the South Sea, the furniture and decorations at the manor will need changing; you can choose the style and furnishings you like. If we stay in the Imperial City, I do have a vacant villa there, which was originally meant for Leah’s wedding." Griffith Squire held her soft little hand while walking out and gently queried her.

Griffith Squire is usually sharp-tongued but soft-hearted. Since Leah regained her memory and went to the Imperial City, even sleeping at Richard Shaw’s place, as the worried brother, he prepared a villa in the Imperial City to avoid her frequently staying at the Shaw Mansion and not coming back.

Because of the later case overturning, this issue was postponed and unmentioned. Griffith Squire thought that Leah and Richard Shaw’s marriage was still far off, so the newlyweds should reside first, and he would make arrangements later.

"Imperial City is close to Leah, and the South Sea is where you were rooted before. Both are fine." Aurora Coldwell did not feel deeply for Brocade City, but hearing that she could choose the decor and furniture as she liked made her eyes light up with joy.

"Then we’ll live in the South Sea and have Leah return to the South Sea too. Leah can live in the villa next to the Squire Manor." Griffith Squire smirked. When developing around the Squire Manor back then, the villas weren’t open for sale due to being self-residences, Griffith Squire’s vigilance was extremely strong, ensuring no strangers could get within ten miles.

Later, he sold a villa to Delphine, and Ignatius Leclair shamelessly moved in next door, making them neighbors.

Griffith Squire figured that he and his little Aurora were definitely going to have a couple’s world to themselves; and if Leah were at home, she’d be the eldest Miss. The newlyweds would end up catering to her, so quickly moving her to the neighboring villa would let her manage on her own.

At that moment, Leah Squire, still on a plane, sneezed slightly and squinted. Who was speaking ill of her?

As this thought settled, his spirits lifted. He looked down at Aurora Coldwell and softly pecked her cheek like a feather.

Aurora reacted with an "Oh!" As she opened her little cherry mouth and glanced around, she saw Cornelius Turner and others who’d followed behind, all looking down at their feet. Their mouths were grinning wide, trying hard not to laugh, rendering her a bit shy as she fiercely glared at Griffith Squire.

Griffith Squire felt his heart melt as she glared. He vigorously rubbed her hair, savoring the silky softness of her strands, which carried a fragrant aroma. He then cleared his throat, gazing at the tall, burly subordinates who were snickering and sternly said, "Three kilometers cross-country, run home."

"Ah~" came the cries behind.

"Boss, it’s your big day today; you can’t just wipe us out," Cornelius Turner said with a wry smile.

"This isn’t wiping you out; it’s helping you exercise so that after you’re in good shape, I’ll start arranging dates for you tomorrow, until each finds a match." Griffith Squire squinted with a smile.

"Boss, are we really getting wives? I want a petite and cute one."

"I want one that’s thrifty and can manage the household."

"I like someone pure."

"Get lost." Griffith Squire chuckled and swore.

A group of men shouted slogans as they ran in step back to Coldwell House, leaving Cornelius Turner to drive, while others joyously jogged back, attracting attention from pedestrians and vehicles along the way.

Aurora Coldwell watched from the side, finding it exceptionally amusing. She tugged at Griffith Squire’s clothes and laughed, "Your subordinates are quite fun."

"More fun than me?" The man’s gaze grew deeper, his voice dropping a few tones, as if teasing her subtly.

Aurora’s heart raced, but not wanting him to be too proud, she nodded nonchalantly and said, "You’re only slightly more fun."

Griffith Squire smirked and said, "Little Aurora has a keen eye, choosing the most fun one. Let’s grab a bite; we definitely won’t sleep well tonight."

Aurora’s face flushed red, glaring at him in bashful irritation—yes, they were now legally married and seemed obliged to fulfill duties, but she had no experience. Griffith Squire was all muscle; would...

Griffith Squire paused for a moment before realizing the ambiguous implication. Yet, given Leah’s current mad rush to Brocade City, perhaps Delphine might come too, ruling out intimacy even if he wished.

"It’s not like what you’re thinking; Leah should arrive in Brocade City this afternoon," Griffith Squire cleared his throat, smiling faintly, "But there’s always a chance to satisfy you."

Aurora Coldwell exclaimed, "!"

Leah arrived in Brocade City at around five, about the same time as Delphine. Meeting at the airport, they hopped in the car hand in hand, launching a campaign against Griffith Squire.

Richard Shaw and Ignatius Leclair, overshadowed and left behind, sat expressionless in the second car. One was Richard Shaw, completely under his wife’s thumb, and the other was the pampered wife-loving master from the South Sea. They sat in silence for a while, somewhat awkwardly.

"So Griffith Squire wasn’t dating during his stay in the Imperial City, yet got married ten days later?" Ignatius Leclair squinted his phoenix eyes, giving a cold snort.

"Give it ten months, and there might be a baby," Richard Shaw added steadily, though his handsome visage showed no sign of displeasure.

Ignatius Leclair muttered a curse. Isn’t this demonic? Even flash marriages aren’t this swift.

"Your brother-in-law cost me several billion worth of deals at least," Ignatius Leclair raised his eyebrows and said casually, "So, are you really planning to farm in the Imperial City and not repay those billions?"

Uh, Richard Shaw rubbed his temples and spoke deeply, "I’m thinking of dating for now, and having children, unconcerned with career pursuits."

"Still, you shouldn’t slack off; lest when you try to return, the throne has been usurped," Ignatius Leclair reminded lightly. Though their ambitions might not be enormous, they possess an alpha nature; even without leading, their grip must stay firm.

"Mm." Richard Shaw’s tea-colored eyes revealed a chilling light. The Shaw Family dynasty of a century isn’t grounded in positions but in unity. Now is but an opportunity to give the other side face; when he chooses to return to the Military District, half of its domain will still carry the Shaw name.
