Chapter 3: Dangerous pull
Yuki kissed him. She actually found the drunken courage to press her lips against Kieran’s.
Her hand held his collar firmly as she leaned in and captured his mouth before her brain could catch up with what her body was doing. He froze against her, every muscle in his body locking up tight.
She could feel the sudden tension running through him and braced herself for the moment he would push her away. Even if he rejected her, even if this ended in total humiliation, she told herself she would have no regrets. But he did not pull away.
Instead, his hands found her waist. What should have been a shove turned into a pull that drew her even closer. She was clumsy with the kiss. He could tell right away she had almost no experience, yet the way she fumbled biting his lips seemed to pull him in deeper in an alluring way. His lips parted and welcomed her tongue, letting them tangle together as the kiss grew hotter and she lost herself completely ƒгeewebnovёl.com
The heat inside the car built up quickly. Yuki moaned into his mouth, the sound vibrating between them as she pressed even closer, unable to let go. The taste of alcohol still lingered on her tongue, but the kiss itself made her head spin far more than any drink had that night.
His hands started moving like they had a mind of their own, sliding up her thigh and tracing higher along her bare skin. In one motion he lifted her off the passenger seat until she straddled his lap.
Yuki felt completely lost in the moment. Nothing in her life had ever felt like this. She had never felt this heat before.
Her fingers pushed into his hair, gripping tight as his scent surrounded her. Kissing him felt so natural, like her body already knew exactly what to do even if her mind was racing.
Then she felt the hard length of him poking against her from below. She barely registered it and lowered her butt to rock her hips down deliberately, pressing and grinding against that bulge. His name slipped from her lips in a loud moan. "Kieran ..." she sound was alluring
His mouth left hers and trailed down her throat, leaving a hot path across her skin. His fingers brushed over her panties, and the unmistakable sweet scent of her arousal bloomed inside the car, filling the small space. That scent hit Kieran and a strong wave to have her completely in there hit him.
He badly wanted to feel her insides. Then it struck him like a bolt of electricity. What was he doing?
He froze suddenly, his whole body going rigid as reality crashed back in. His voice came out shaky when he spoke. "Yuki..." he could barely alter her name.
She felt him stop moving and the haze in her mind cleared enough for her to realise what she was doing. She was straddling him in his car, her wetness soaking through her panties, the thick scent of her own arousal heavy in the air, and the hard bulge of him still pressed right between her legs.
Heat flooded her face until her cheeks burned. Without thinking she scrambled off him, flung the door open. The cold air hit her face as she bolted out of the car, stumbling toward the hostel entrance on shaky legs.
Kieran sat there for a split second before embarrassment washed over him. He rushed out after her. "I’m sorry!" he called out, but she was already running for the lodge door without looking back.
"I wasn’t thinking straight," Yuki shouted over her shoulder, her voice was cracking as she disappeared inside. She couldn’t bring herself to look back.
Kieran stood alone in the cold night air, watching the door close behind her. His Adam’s apple bobbed as he clutched at his hair with both hands. What the fuck just happened? If he had not snapped out of it when he did, he might have fucked her right there in the front seat. He could not betray the one he believed was his mate.
But he did not understand his own reaction. He was an alpha. Many she-wolves had thrown themselves at him over the years, yet he had never lost control like this before. He glanced down at the obvious bulge still straining against his trousers and felt a fresh wave of nerves hit him.
He clenched his fist hard and kicked the tyre of his car. Fuck it. He did not have time for this. His flight was leaving in the morning. In the end, he convinced himself the whole thing was just the alcohol talking, yet he could not bring himself to drive away immediately. The image of her running off stayed burned in his mind.
Then a voice cut through his thoughts. It was Maverick reaching him through their pack link. "Kieran, where are you? Your emotions are all over the place." ƒгeeweɓn૦vel.com
He froze and forced himself to breathe steadily, trying to calm the storm inside him. Maverick could feel everything through their connection. He had been so flustered that he forgot to shield his emotions from the link. "I’m on campus. I am heading out now," he replied, keeping his tone as calm as possible.
"Alright, we need to get things together. Your father wants you back urgently." At the mention of his father, Kieran’s gaze went calm again. He cut off the link, climbed back into the car, gripped the wheel tightly, and took one last look at the dorm building before turning back to the road and driving off.
Yuki raced into the lobby and headed straight for the stairs. Her heart was racing so fast she thought it might jump out of her chest. The alcohol had worn off completely, leaving her stone-cold sober and shocked at her own actions. She could not believe she had actually found the guts to kiss Kieran.
It was over now. She replayed every second in her mind as she climbed the stairs. Her legs were still a bit wobbly from the arousal pulsing through her body. She could feel the wetness between her thighs with every step. It was the first time her body had ever reacted so strongly.
Yuki stumbled her way down the hallway to her door. She reached out to unlock it, but the door creaked open by itself before her key even touched the lock. Instantly the last traces of drunkenness vanished and she went completely quiet, senses on high alert.
She was scared now. Who had broken into her place? She grabbed the handle and slowly pushed the door wider. Although her sight in the dark was decent, her wolf was not strong and her senses were dull
She slammed the light switch on from the side of the door and the room lit up at once. Her gaze fell on a figure sitting by her bedside with similar facial features and a frosty demeanour.
"What are you doing here?" she snapped at the lady sitting on the bed. The lady smiled.
"That is no way to talk to your big sister." The woman scoffed. Yuki stared at her. She looked exactly as Yuki remembered, like she had not aged a single day.
Her grip tightened on the door handle. "You don’t deserve that title. You left me, Aevia," she hissed at the elder sister she had not seen for years.
Aevia frowned at Yuki. She released a heavy sigh and remained seated. "You know I did that for you. It was not safe to take you along. You needed a stable pack to grow up in." Aevia argued back.
Yuki pressed her eyes together, not in the mood for this at all. She let go of the door and shut it firmly behind her. "What do you want?" She went straight to the point.
Aevia smiled. "I want to make things right, Yuki." She finally stood up and walked towards her. "I want to take you home to our home."
Yuki frowned. "I thought home was destroyed." As far as she remembered, she had grown up with a relative in their old pack until she got admitted into Xyrus University. She was practically an orphan with no true roots left.
Aevia’s smile faltered for a moment, then she grabbed Yuki’s shoulder. "Not anymore. You now have a home and a pack." Yuki’s brows furrowed in confusion. "I am getting married and I want you to stay with me."
Her eyes went wide, then dimmed with doubt. "I can’t. I can’t abandon my degree at Xyrus University," she explained.
"That is not a problem. I have already handled everything and moved your academic records. This time we can finally be happy together."
Yuki stood speechless, staring at the hopeful look shining in Aevia’s eyes. Aevia was her elder sister but she had been more like a mother to Yuki until the day they parted. She realised this matter was already settled. Aevia had made the decision.
