Chapter 87: Bruce Helped Her

Editor: Henyee Translations

"Look at you guys. There are so many people in the hall. Do you think it’s good to let them see this? You guys will get a warning for what happened today." Bruce brought Anita upstairs.

Anita even looked back before getting into the elevator. When she saw the two girls still standing there, she looked at Bruce and asked, "Bruce thank you for what you did today, but they weren’t really wrong. If anyone could see Owen casually without an appointment, that would be wrong."

"Miss Anita, I know. Don’t worry, the company will handle it accordingly," Bruce said with a smile as he looked at Anita.

"Okay, that’s good." Anita nodded.

"Oh, yes, this is your first time at the office. Let me tell you something. President Owen works in the CEO’s office on the top floor," Bruce said.

Anita nodded at Bruce’s words.

The elevator arrived quickly.

Ding! As soon as the elevator door opened, Anita saw the entire top floor. Her field of vision widened. The office was almost all glass, and there was no big cover, so she could clearly see that the entire office was lit up. Everyone was holding documents and constantly on the phone.

When Bruce walked out with Anita, the entire hall fell silent and everyone looked at Anita.

"Stop looking and get to work," Knowing that Anita might be nervous, Bruce said with a wave of his hand.

Then he led Anita toward Owen’s office.

When they reached the door, Bruce knocked first and heard Owen say, "Come in."

So he quickly took a few steps back and signaled Anita to enter.

"Aren’t you going in?" Anita asked Bruce in surprise.

"I’ll go order food for you and the CEO. I’m not going in." Bruce took a few more steps back and smiled.

Anita nodded at Bruce’s words and pushed open the door to enter.

"Bruce, you’re back. Go get this document and photocopy it," Owen said without even looking up when the door opened.

But no one picked up after he reached out for a long time, so he looked up impatiently. He was about to say something when he saw Anita. "Why are you here?"

Owen was so excited that he stood up from the stool.

"I... I wasn’t busy today, so I thought I would come to the office to see you," Anita said sheepishly upon seeing how excited Owen was.

"Why didn’t you tell me beforehand. I would have gotten Bruce to pick you up?" Owen said happily while looking at Anita.

"It’s okay. I know the place, so I took a taxi here myself," Anita said to Owen.

"I’m sorry. I just mistook you as Bruce," Owen said awkwardly to Anita when he realized what he had just done.

"It’s okay," Anita said with a wave of her hand.

"I’m almost done. Sit here and wait for me." Owen quickly tidied the messy couch and asked Anita to sit.

Anita saw how busy Owen was and smiled. "Stop it. I’ll clean it up. Go get busy with your work." freewёbn૦νeɭ.com

"Wait for me for a while. I’ll be quick." Owen reached out and touched Anita’s head. Then he hurried to get busy. Owen was a workaholic. As soon as he got into work mode, he looked extremely serious. Not wanting to disturb him, Anita watched Owen work for a moment.

She got up and tidied up the clothes that Owen had thrown on the couch and the things on the coffee table.

When she had just finished packing, Bruce knocked on the door and sent the ordered meal in. "Miss Anita, President, you guys can eat first." He placed the ordered food on the table.

Owen nodded at Bruce’s words and closed the document as he walked over to the sofa.

The office was not a proper place to eat, so Anita and Owen curled up on the sofa and ate. When they were halfway through the meal, Anita realized that Owen’s legs were too long. He couldn’t stretch them at all while sitting on the sofa and coffee table.

"What is it? Why are you smiling?" Owen asked dubiously while looking at Anita, who had been smiling at him.

"Nothing. I just feel that it’s not very good to have long legs," Anita said with a smile.

Owen looked down at his legs and was stunned for a moment before realizing that Anita was talking about him. So he smiled, too. "Go ahead. I’ll clean up," Anita said quickly as soon as they finished eating.

"Thank you. I’ll be done in twenty minutes," Owen said while putting down the cutlery sheepishly.

"Okay, we can go home when you’re done," Anita continued.

The twenty minutes passed quickly. By the time Anita finished packing the lunch box and wiping the table, Owen was almost done.
