Everyone in the laboratory left early today. The people who usually worked overtime at night didn’t work overtime today.
Anita didn’t know what they meant. Was it because they didn’t want to stay in the same laboratory with her? But no one would give her an answer now.
She hadn’t eaten dinner yet. When she reached home, she looked through the fridge. There was leftover bread from yesterday inside. She placed it in the toaster and heated it up before returning to her room to wash up.

He gently changed his shoes, took off his jacket, and hung it on the hanger by the door before walking into the room. The door wasn’t locked. After Owen carefully pushed it open, he found Anita lying on the bed. The light in the room was off, and only a night light illuminated the way into the room.
Afraid that he would disturb Anita’s rest, Owen went back to his room and washed up before lying back on the bed.
"Anita, are you asleep?" Owen whispered.
After asking this, he waited for a long time without getting any response. Finally, he confirmed that Anita was asleep, so he didn’t say anything else and turned around to sleep.
The next morning, the two of them woke up at almost the same time.
Neither of them had time to talk last night. They didn’t have time to talk before they went out this morning. Owen had wanted to ask about Anita’s experiment when he went out to send her to school in the morning.
