Chapter 59: Owen’s Photo

Editor: Henyee Translations

At this point, Anita had no reason to refuse. Besides, a voice in her head was also telling her so. "Don’t worry, Mom. I’ll take good care of Owen."

"Good child, I believe you," Sylvia said as she looked at Anita and patted her shoulder affectionately.

"I was just showing you the photos. Why am I talking about these old things?" Sylvia composed herself and said to Anita with a smile.

"Don’t say that, Mom. I’m happy to know more about our family," Anita said with a smile.

"Good child, I’ll tell you slowly in the future, but go and rest first." Mrs. Sylvia looked at Anita and said, "If you don’t go back soon, I’m afraid Owen will be angry with me."

"Mom, why would he be angry?" Anita didn’t understand Mrs. Sylvia’s words and asked dubiously.

Sylvia looked at Anita and couldn’t help but laugh. "I’ve been occupying his wife, so you guys can’t go back to your rooms to rest early. Won’t he be angry?" freeweɓnovel.cѳm

"Mom, Owen... Didn’t Owen go to talk to Dad? It definitely won’t end so early," Anita said softly while listening to Sylvia.

"Is that so? Hurry back to your room and take a look." Mrs. Sylvia didn’t continue teasing. In fact, she was happy to see Owen and Anita getting along.

Anita didn’t reply and just nodded before following Mrs. Sylvia out.

"Your room is the room Owen has always been in. He moved out and lived alone after he started work, but we’ve always kept the room for him. Nothing in it was touched," Sylvia said as she walked with Anita.

Hearing that, Anita suddenly couldn’t wait to see Owen’s room, so she couldn’t help but speed up.

"This is his room. I won’t go in. If you need anything, tell the butler. He’ll prepare it for you," Sylvia said with a smile at the door.

"Yes, thank you, Mom. Go rest too." Anita reached out and held Mrs. Sylvia’s arm, then smiled and said, "Good night, Mom."

"Good night too," Sylvia said with a smile.

After Mrs. Sylvia left, Anita couldn’t wait to open Owen’s door. She didn’t even knock. She pushed open the door and entered the room before remembering that she was lucky Owen wasn’t here, or it would have been too rude.

Anita stood in the room and looked around carefully. It was indeed a boy’s room. There were a few poster photos of Mike Jackson on the bed. In the corner of the room was a very old guitar.

Anita didn’t expect Owen to be so well-rounded. He even knew how to play the guitar. At the thought of this, Anita took a few steps forward and picked up the guitar in the corner.

After fiddling with it a few times, she realized that it wasn’t broken, so she couldn’t help but play it.

A few loud claps suddenly came from the direction of the door. Anita quickly looked up and found that Owen had returned. He was standing at the door and even looked at the guitar in her hand.

Anita immediately felt panicked. It was rude to use someone else’s stuff without their permission. "Owen, I’m sorry. I touched your stuff without your permission."

"It’s okay. What tune did you just play? You played it really well." Owen smiled as he watched Anita walk a few steps into the room nervously.

"Anita, I don’t mind you using my stuff. On the contrary, you made it shine again. I have to thank you," Owen continued when Anita didn’t respond.

"Really? You’re not angry that I touched your stuff?" Anita finally looked up at Owen and questioned the truth of Owen’s words with her eyes.

"Yes, I don’t mind. Can you tell me what tune you played?" Owen asked again while smiling helplessly as he walked towards Anita.

"The Ordinary Road. The song is called the Ordinary Road. I created the song myself," Anita finally believed Owen and said.

"The Ordinary Road? The tune of this tune seems a little familiar." Owen said and thought about his recent playlist briefly. He didn’t find it.

"Really? Maybe you’ve heard of it." Anita suddenly thought of Eric when she heard Owen’s words. It was bad enough that they broke up, but he even gave her song to someone else. She was clearly the author of the song, but in the end, she was like a plagiarist.

The point was that she didn’t even know how to explain it. And even if she explained it, would Owen believe her? Even if he did, would he think she was a fool?
