Chapter 201: Destroying the Video

Eric froze for a moment when he heard Owen’s words.
He didn’t know what to choose. He had thought that he could threaten Owen easily, but he didn’t expect that at this point, he still didn’t seem to be able to do anything. He felt indignant as he held the USB flash drive in his hand that stored the video.
Why could these rich people do whatever they wanted? He was just trying to fulfill his dream, but so many people were obstructing him.
"Eric, my patience is limited," Owen said while glancing at the time.
"President Owen, I admit defeat." When Eric came back to his senses, he took out the USB from his pocket and threw it in front of Owen.
Owen looked at the USB and signaled to Bruce with his eyes.
Bruce took the iPad that he had prepared and inserted the USB flash drive. "President, the video is inside. I’ve deleted it."
Owen nodded when he heard Bruce’s words. "Eric, a wise man submits to circumstances. I hope you remember this." He destroyed the recording pen as well. "You can rest assured now."
"Naturally, I believe in President Owen. Since the matter has been resolved, I can leave." Eric didn’t care about what Owen had just said. The video had been deleted, and there was no point in saying anything.
Owen nodded. Bruce and the two bodyguards, who were standing at the door, took two steps back and opened the door. "But President Owen, even if you destroy the video, do you think you and Anita can live together?"
"You think I’m the one who’s ruining your relationship, but do you think I’m that capable alone?" Eric, whose hand was already on the door handle and about to go out, turned back to look at Owen again. He smiled and turned to leave.
"President, what does Eric mean?" Bruce took two steps forward and said to Owen.
Owen frowned. "I don’t think it’s that simple. Send someone to follow him. He alone can’t do anything to offend our family."
"Yes, CEO," Bruce said with a nod.
Owen’s phone suddenly rang.
"Is that Miss Anita?" Bruce asked Owen.
"Yeah." Owen nodded and picked up the phone, as if there was no one else around.
"Owen, are you done? When are you coming back?" Anita asked carefully on the other end of the phone. She had been a little worried since Eric had gone to school to find her.
On the one hand, she was worried that Eric had come to Owen to threaten him. On the other hand, she was worried that she would affect Owen. Although she knew that Owen might not mind, she still didn’t feel assured.
"What’s wrong? Are you done talking to Miranda?" Owen asked with a smile.
"Yes, Miss Miranda’s manager just came over. She said that some of the cover shoots hadn’t been taken yet."
"Wait for me. I’ll go back and pick you up when I’m done," Owen said after a moment of thought.
"Tell everyone who knows about this to wait for me upstairs. I’ll go up first," Owen said to Bruce after hanging up.
"Yes, CEO. Don’t worry."
Bruce couldn’t help but want to call Miss Miranda when he saw Owen on the phone. Now, afer Owen finally hung up and was sent away, he quickly called Miranda.
He just didn’t expect the call to be picked up by Miranda’s manager.
"Special Assistant, are you looking for Miranda? What’s the matter? She’s filming now."
Bruce felt awkward for a moment, then quickly said, "It’s okay. The CEO just wants to ask her about some details of the shoot. Let’s talk about it after it’s over." freewebnovёl.ƈom
"Then I’ll get Miranda to call President Owen back when it’s over," the manager said quickly when she heard that Owen was looking for Miranda. frёewebηovel.cѳm
"It’s okay. We can talk after we meet," Bruce said quickly.
"Anita, I’m back," Owen said with a smile as he pushed open the door to the lounge.
Anita hadn’t expected Owen to come so quickly. She’d been worried about Eric’s matter, and she was startled to hear Owen’s voice at first.
"What is it? What are you thinking about? You’re so engrossed," Owen said to Anita as he took a few steps into the room.
Anita covered her chest and calmed down. "It’s nothing. It’s just that the few times I’ve talked to Miss Miranda recently, I felt that I had some misunderstandings about Miss Miranda in the past. Actually, after interacting with her, I realized that she’s really outstanding. She sings well and is easy to get along with."
"Really? But I think you’re great and outstanding. You’re the kindest girl I’ve ever seen." This was something Owen had to say to coax a girl. If the company employees heard this, their jaws would probably drop.
