Chapter 180: The Truth

Hearing Miranda’s words, Anita remembered what Eric had just said in the recording.
Originally, she had indeed misunderstood Miranda before she met her today. She had thought that Eric had broken up with her because of Miranda.
Regarding the promotional video Miranda had come to Owen’s company to film, she had the feeling that this woman was up to no good, but when she listened to the recording, she realized that this woman was actually someone who had been deceived by Eric, like her.
"Miss Miranda, what are you going to do?"
"You mean the copyright to that song and the three million? I’m thinking about what to do too." Miranda listened to Anita’s concerned words and shook her head helplessly.
"Do you need help?" Anita thought about it and looked up at her.
"It’s okay. My manager is already thinking of a way." Miranda did want Anita to talk to Owen and see if he could help her. That was the main reason she had taken out the recording for Anita to hear today.
But just as she was about to say something, she thought about it. She could tell that Anita’s concern for her was sincere. freёweɓnovel.com
If she had really asked, she might tell Owen, but she was clearly someone who had been deceived before. In fact, she had been worse off during the time after she and Eric had broken up. If she hadn’t bumped into Owen, there was no telling what she would be like now.
Besides, she was still filming Owen’s company’s promotional video. It didn’t seem appropriate to ask for anything else, so she thought about it and stopped herself from saying anything.
"Miss Miranda, I’m sure you’ll find a very good person." Hearing Miranda’s words, Anita nodded and said.
"Well, that’s it, then. I have a shoot this afternoon. I’ll get going first." Miranda had said everything she wanted to say, so she looked up at the time and smiled.
"Okay." Anita nodded and stood up with Miranda to walk out.
"What? You’re done?" Owen and Miranda’s manager came over at some point. As soon as they opened the door and came out, Owen spoke first.
"Yes, we’re done. Thank you, President Owen, for lending Miss Anita to me for so long today," Miranda said first as soon as she walked out of the room and looked at Owen with her usual radiant look.
"Well, Miss Miranda, you’ve worked hard today. Bruce, has the ride been arranged?" Owen glanced at Anita and smiled before looking up.
"Yes, the car is already downstairs. Miss Miranda, I’ll send you down." Bruce listened to Owen’s instructions and hurried to Miranda with a smile.
Anita, who was standing beside him, glanced at Bruce, who was smiling. She didn’t know when he had come downstairs. As a woman, she had a sensitive sixth sense. Although Bruce smiled happily every time he saw her, this smile was clearly different from the one he had when he saw Miranda. She felt like she had discovered a secret.
At the thought of this, she quickly looked up at Owen. "When did Bruce come down?" she asked softly.
"It’s been a while since he came down. I didn’t notice," Owen whispered as he listened to Anita’s question.
It was true that he didn’t notice when Bruce came down. By the time he noticed Bruce, Miranda and Anita were already chatting in the nearby lounge.
After Bruce came down, he looked around but couldn’t find her. He thought that the two of them were fighting some sort of century war. At that time, he even asked Owen nervously, "President, where did Miss Anita go?"
Owen glanced up at him. "She’s in the room next door."
"Next door? Are they arguing?" Bruce asked nervously again as he listened to Owen.
"Arguing? Arguing over what? They’re chatting," Owen said while listening to Bruce.
"Chatting? Okay?" He didn’t know what Anita and Miranda had to talk about, but as long as they weren’t in a fight, it was good.
"Then President Owen, Miss Anita, we’ll get going first," Miranda’s manager said with a smile while glancing at Owen. Owen and Anita listened to Miranda’s manager’s words and looked at each other without saying anything. They nodded and watched them walk out.
"Miss Miranda, the CEO has just instructed us about Eric. If you need anything, just tell us. President Owen and I... will do our best to help."
Bruce stood downstairs and got out of the car while looking at Miranda. He had wanted to say that he would do his best to help, but he changed his mind and said that Owen would help.
"How did you guys know about Eric?" Miranda was about to get into the car. She didn’t notice his pause and turned to him in confusion.
"I told President Owen. I mentioned this when you were chatting with Miss Anita just now," the manager said as he stepped forward and looked at Miranda.
