Chapter 169: Staying Overnight

Editor: Henyee Translations

"Well, let’s go." Sylvia smiled helplessly at Owen and the two of them walked into the living room.

"You’re back. Why did you take so long to send someone off? Owen, you too. What were you guys doing outside?" Jacob said as soon as he saw the two of them enter.

"Dad, we just spoke a few words at the door. Look at how nervous you are," Owen said helplessly while glancing at Jacob.

"What do you know? If your own wife isn’t around, let’s see if you’re anxious or not," Jacob said while listening to Owen.

"You really say anything that comes to mind," Sylvia said while glaring at Jacob.

"Okay, okay, I was wrong. Honey, don’t be angry," Jacob said as he went forward and held Sylvia’s arm.

"By the way, Anita, don’t take what I just said to heart. Mom isn’t giving you pressure. You can just do whatever you want," Sylvia said with a smile as she slowly walked towards Anita.

"Mom, don’t say that. I know what you mean. We’re not under pressure." Hearing Sylvia’s sudden words, Anita was stunned for a moment before remembering that Sylvia had just been urging them to have a child, so she came back to her senses and quickly smiled.

"Well, that’s good. Owen, you and Anita are married, so you have to focus more on your family and Anita. Don’t be distracted by anything else, understand?" Sylvia turned and glanced at Owen again.

"Yes, I understand. Don’t worry, Mom." Owen nodded at Sylvia.

"Yes, that’s good." Sylvia nodded and didn’t say anything else. ƒree𝑤ebnσvel.com

"By the way, Owen, don’t leave with Anita tonight. It’s too late," Jacob said with a smile as he sized them up.

Owen glanced at Anita first as he listened to Jacob. He didn’t dare to make the decision to stay the night. He had to ask Anita before he made the decision.

Anita looked into Owen’s eyes and smiled. "Well, Dad, we won’t leave tonight. We’ll stay with you guys."

"Good, that’s good. Honey, you’re happy now, right?" After saying that, Jacob looked at Sylvia and smiled.

"Yes, it’s rare for you guys to come back, so it’s good for you guys to rest at home. Butler, go tidy Owen’s room and change the sheets," Sylvia said quickly to the butler.

"Yes, Madam. I’ll go immediately." The butler smiled when he heard Sylvia’s instructions.

"Okay, it’s getting late. You two have worked hard today. Hurry up and rest," Jacob said to the two of them as soon as things were arranged.

"Yes, Mom, Dad, we’ll go back to our rooms first," Anita said quickly while looking at the two of them.

"Yes, go." Sylvia nodded and smiled.

"I feel like Dad doesn’t like us being with Sylvia. He’s in such a hurry to let us go back to our rooms to rest," Anita and Owen whispered as they walked.

"You found out about that? You’re such a smart kid." Owen reached out to scratch her nose while smiling.

"It’s what I feel. Am I wrong?" Anita glanced at Owen and pouted.

"Yes, you’re right. Dad and Mom are indeed very close. The two of them have been together for so many years. The chemistry between them is something no one else can interfere with," Owen said seriously after a moment of thought.

"Yes, I could feel that when I was in Thailand. I went climbing Mount Suthep alone. Mom and Dad were in front of me. The two of them had been holding hands and supporting each other as they walked up the mountain. I felt very envious when I saw them."

"Then Mom suddenly felt unwell and I happened to be there. At that time, Dad was so anxious that he couldn’t speak properly. Fortunately, I knew first aid and saved Mom later. You don’t know how Dad looked when he saw Mom finally wake up and catch her breath. I will always remember." Anita suddenly remembered the encounter with Jacob and Sylvia, so she looked at him and said.

"Well, this means we’re really fated. Otherwise, how could you save my parents and then get into the wrong car, where we met each other?" Owen glanced at Anita as he listened to her. As he spoke gently, he reached out and held Anita’s hand tightly.

"Yes." Anita nodded at Owen and shook his hand too.

"Come on, let’s go to our room too, honey," Jacob said when he saw that Sylvia was still standing there looking at Anita and Owen’s backs.
