Chapter 470: First Day Of Sceond Year
The waiter left immediately with a bright smile after receiving the generous tip.
Amon leaned back against his chair and closed his eyes.
Aisha frowned as she looked at him.
If this guy fell asleep here, who was going to take him back to the Academy?
Then a thought suddenly came to her.
Of course it should be her.
She was from the Academy too.
How could she forget something so obvious?
It appeared she had drunk more than she thought because her mind was not working properly either.
Slowly pushing herself up from her chair, she walked toward Amon. Even her own steps were slightly unsteady.
Standing beside him, she lightly nudged his shoulder.
"Oi, don’t fall asleep. We need to go. I will help you."
"Hh~ Thank you."
Amon tried to stand up by himself, but the moment he rose from his seat his body swayed slightly.
Seeing that, Aisha sighed and moved closer.
She placed one of his arms over her shoulder while wrapping her own arm around his waist to support him.
Then the two of them slowly left the tavern.
The cool night air greeted them the moment they stepped outside.
Elarith City was still lively despite the late hour.
The streets were illuminated by countless lamps. People continued moving through the roads while laughter, conversations, and distant music drifted through the air.
With dreamy eyes, Amon looked around at everything.
"It’s so beautiful~"
Aisha glanced at him.
"What’s so beautiful?"
"The city, of course."
Aisha looked around as well.
The golden lights reflected off the stone roads while groups of people walked through the streets enjoying the night.
"Hah... yes... you are right."
Her tail swayed gently behind her while they continued walking together.
Neither of them was walking perfectly straight.
Both were slightly drunk.
After several moments, Aisha suddenly smiled brightly.
"I had so much fun tonight~!"
The happiness on her face was obvious.
Amon looked at her and giggled. frёewebηovel.cѳm
"You were cute back then when we were having the challenge."
His mind was clearly not functioning properly.
The image of her flushed face and happy expression appeared in his thoughts, causing him to speak honestly without restraint.
Aisha blinked.
Surprisingly, she did not become angry.
Instead, she looked away slightly before asking,
"Really? You think so? I am cute?"
"Yes, you are. Why? Do you think you are not?"
Aisha hesitated for a moment.
"Hmm... I don’t know... I mean, I am so tall... I have a slightly muscular body with abs like a man... I don’t think I am feminine... I have only heard you call me cute."
Amon immediately shook his head.
"Aww~, how can no one see it?"
Standing on his toes, he gently rubbed his cheek against hers.
Aisha froze for a moment.
However, she didn’t move away.
She simply allowed him to do it.
Her wolf ears drooped slightly, though it was mostly because she felt relaxed and warm from both the alcohol and his actions.
Amon smiled.
"Hey, Aisha. You could be my good friend."
A faint smile appeared on her face.
"Is that so.... I think you are not wrong. You are nicer than I thought."
"Thanks."
The two of them eventually reached the Academy.
After passing through the gates, they slowed down.
The night breeze moved gently through the Academy grounds while the moonlight illuminated the paths.
Aisha looked at Amon with an amused smile.
"Can you go back to your room safely? You won’t fall on your way before reaching your room, right?"
Amon nodded confidently.
"I won’t. You should take care of yourself... we need to sleep early... tomorrow is the first day after all."
"Sure. Bye. I will go now."
Amon nodded.
Then, before she could leave, he stepped forward and wrapped his arms around her.
"A hug before parting, my wolf friend."
Aisha giggled softly.
"Hmm, sure."
Being drunk, she didn’t think much about it and hugged him back.
Her tail waved gently behind her, showing that she was enjoying the embrace.
For a few moments, neither of them moved.
Then Amon leaned forward and planted a quick kiss on her cheek.
Chu~
Aisha’s eyes widened instantly.
"Hey! Who told you to kiss me?"
She complained immediately.
However, she didn’t look offended at all.
Instead, her cheeks became slightly redder.
Slowly releasing him from the hug, she turned around and started walking away.
Meanwhile, Amon simply yawned.
"Goodnight~"
Then he headed back toward his dormitory.
---
The next morning arrived quickly.
Today was the first official day of the Academy.
The opening ceremony was being held inside the large auditorium.
Although the ceremony mainly existed for the new first-year students, every student was required to attend.
As a result, second-year students like Amon and his friends were also present.
Inside the auditorium, rows upon rows of seats filled the massive hall.
Hundreds of students occupied them.
The atmosphere was lively as conversations echoed throughout the room.
Amon sat in the section reserved for second-year students.
He wore the Academy’s black uniform decorated with red lines and a red tie.
Unfortunately, unlike everyone around him, he looked terrible.
"Yawn~"
He leaned back against his seat while his shoulders drooped.
The consequences of last night’s drinking competition were finally catching up to him.
His eyes looked tired. His expression lacked its usual energy. His entire body seemed sluggish.
Beside him, Seraphina watched him carefully.
A worried expression appeared on her face. "What happened? You are very quiet today."
Marcus immediately looked pleased. "Hah. It’s good that he is silent."
Eliana tilted her head curiously. "Maybe he didn’t get much sleep yesterday?"
Amon released a tired sigh.
"Well... I had drinks with Aisha yesterday... I drank a little too much. So it’s a hangover."
Understanding immediately appeared on Seraphina’s face.
"Hahh, so that’s what happened. You should have drunk in moderation, Amon."
As she spoke, she gently reached out and touched his cheek.
Her fingers softly caressed it.
Amon smiled weakly.
"Yeah... you are right, Sera... sorry for making you worried."
She nodded.
Although her expression remained calm as always, her tone became slightly strict.
"Don’t drink too much next time. Okay?"
"Yes... I won’t."
Only then did Seraphina seem satisfied.
Meanwhile, Eliana looked toward another section of seats.
"Hmm... Aisha looks perfectly fine though."
Everyone followed her gaze.
There sat Aisha.
Her arms were folded across her chest while she looked completely normal.
She appeared refreshed and energetic.
Only a faint pink tint remained on her cheeks.
However, one detail quickly caught Eliana’s attention.
Since entering the auditorium, Aisha hadn’t looked at Amon even once.
Not a single time.
It seemed she remembered their parting from the previous night very clearly.
Meanwhile, more students continued entering the auditorium.
Groups of nervous first-year students searched for seats while talking excitedly among themselves.
Compared to them, Amon and his friends were no longer newcomers.
They were now second-year students.
They were seniors.
