Chapter 80: Chapter 80: Earth-Moon Impact, I Can’t Stay in This Damn Zombie World for One More Minute

[Limited-Time Event: Night of the Blood Moon has been changed due to external factors.]

[Survival Time has been adjusted.]

[The current Survival Time has been changed to: 180 minutes.]

All the survivors were dumbfounded. They didn’t understand why the Apocalypse Game had suddenly changed.

Not until they saw the massive Blood Moon in the sky growing larger and larger, rushing right toward them.

This caused the survivors’ communication chat channel to instantly erupt into chaos.

According to the estimates of some surviving astronomers, the Blood Moon would arrive in an hour at most.

But the Apocalypse Game had given them three hours of survival time.

This was simply unacceptable to them.

Aside from the time discrepancy, some survivors who were once scholars ran calculations based on the data provided by the astronomers.

They came to a conclusion that drove all survivors to despair.

If the Blood Moon’s speed didn’t decrease, combined with its unique properties, the entire planet would be shattered into pieces.

Barring any miracles, not a single survivor would be able to live through such an impact.

The previous lunar impact hadn’t affected the entire planet, merely destroying the ecosystem at most.

But this was different. This was aimed at the complete destruction of the entire planet.

As for what had caused this change, not a single survivor could explain it.

Time ticked by amidst the survivors’ fear and despair.

Finally, the Blood Moon breached the atmosphere and, pulled by gravity, smashed violently into the surface, piercing straight through to the planet’s core.

Qi Suian watched with his own eyes as the planet shattered into large fragments and countless specks of debris.

"Circle around and land on it!" Qi Suian hadn’t actually flown to the opposite side of the planet, mainly because one hour wasn’t enough for the Tai Sui God’s flight systems to cross halfway around it.

Three hours would have been possible, but one hour was definitely not.

So he’d changed his approach: hide off to the side and circle around behind the Blood Moon right after it impacted.

He didn’t need much. Just a single tissue sample from the Blood Moon would suffice.

Even a piece the size of a fingernail would do.

The Tai Sui God slowly powered up. Qi Suian glanced at the Apocalypse Game’s event page; it was one of the few functions he could still access.

However, he could only look; he wouldn’t be able to receive any of the rewards.

Therefore, he had to prepare for the possibility that the Apocalypse Game wouldn’t transport him out of this world. After obtaining the Blood Moon’s sample, if the game truly left him behind, he would head for the corpse of the Profound God.

’What else could I do?’

Whether the planet was shattered by the Blood Moon or occupied by it, the outcome was the same for Qi Suian: survival was impossible.

He didn’t even dare to think of it as *living*, only *surviving*.

[Special radiation detected. Analysis complete. The Blood Moon has locked onto you.]

"That was fast," Qi Suian said, unsurprised. "Then again, I’m sure it won’t ever forget those two shots I gave it."

Fortunately, the Blood Moon was enormous, and it had just collided with a planet.

It wouldn’t be easy for it to recover so quickly.

[Correction: The Blood Moon has not locked onto you specifically. It has locked onto all survivors. As a violator, you are still classified as part of the Apocalypse Game.]

As soon as the AI’s report entered Qi Suian’s mind, the Blood Moon stirred.

From the sunken craters on its surface, eyes began to squeeze out, growing into bizarre, bud-like limbs of flesh.

From a distance, Qi Suian thought they looked like buds, but up close, their size would be absolutely massive.

[Wind Master Aviation System engaging overload mode.]

The AI had acted preemptively. The very next second, countless flesh buds erupted from the Blood Moon’s surface, transforming into vicious tentacles that lashed out at all the survivors.

The other survivors had it bad enough, but Qi Suian received special treatment: several hundred vicious tentacles twisted toward him, intent on crushing him.

It seemed the Blood Moon clearly remembered the two shots Qi Suian had fired, otherwise it wouldn’t be singling him out.

The AI didn’t retaliate, prioritizing evasion instead.

The Wind Master Aviation System, in coordination with the AI, the structural-integrity chip, the reconnaissance network, and the satellites, made the Tai Sui God so agile that every attack missed.

The attacks were too fast for the AI to react to in real time, but it could predict them in advance.

It was like not being able to dodge a bullet, but being able to move the moment the trigger was pulled.

It also used its Floating Cannons for supplementary boosts, and by Qi Suian’s estimation, they could hold out for another two hours without a problem.

However, the Tai Sui God didn’t just continue dodging. It took a wide detour, evading the mass of vicious tentacles while steadily closing in on the Blood Moon.

The Blood Moon seemed to be operating under some kind of restriction, as its primary focus remained on killing the survivors.

’This behavior... could it be...’ A possibility occurred to Qi Suian: what if the Blood Moon wasn’t a monster, but a guardian of this world?

’Why else would it be so focused on killing the survivors? After all, the Apocalypse Game and its survivors were, in essence, invaders in this world.’ frёewebnoѵel.ƈo๓

’Invaders always want something. The longer they remained, the more the world would lose.’

’Combine that with the serendipitous birth of the Blood Moon, and you get this massive slaughter.’

This was good news for Qi Suian. Some survivors might have lived through the planet’s destruction, but now, with the Blood Moon hunting them, their complete annihilation was certain.

Just then, Qi Suian successfully landed on the Blood Moon’s surface.

As he landed, a wave of countless, resonant voices crashed into his mind.

’Betrayer, thief, death will be your final resting place~’

The resonant voices formed a single sentence.

Qi Suian quickly understood why. He hadn’t died, hadn’t allowed the Zombie Dominator to be born, and had failed to follow the predetermined trajectory.

Instead, he had become a violator in the eyes of the Apocalypse Game, a betrayer of the world who had stolen its destiny.

But Qi Suian only offered a cold sneer in return.

The flight to the Blood Moon’s surface had taken quite some time. The event countdown in the Apocalypse Game showed only one minute left.

Without hesitation, he ripped an eyeball, nerves and all, directly from the Blood Moon’s surface.

"I just want to live!" Qi Suian retorted after stowing the tissue sample.

’I can accept the mission to save the world, but why do I have to die to do it?’

’If they’re going to block my path to survival, they can’t blame me for being ruthless.’

’Besides, I’m a Transmigrator, even if I have been one since birth.’

"Well then, goodbye," Qi Suian said softly.

As the countdown for the "Night of the Blood Moon" event reached zero, Qi Suian felt a powerful force pulling him away.

The Blood Moon seemed to sense what was happening. Countless vicious tentacles rained down on Qi Suian’s location, a dense barrage leaving no gaps.

But it was a step too late. By the time the vicious tentacles struck, Qi Suian was already gone.
