Chapter 113: Chapter 113 Concealing The Obvious Bulge

Still, Gage immediately narrowed his eyes and shot Gideon a deeply scrutinizing look through the rearview mirror, clearly sensing the man’s deliberate intentions.

However, Gideon simply ignored him completely.

At this point, he already had enough problems dealing with the restless wolf inside him.

Sitting beside Ashley felt both torturous and strangely satisfying at the same time. Her intoxicating scent continuously drifted toward him inside the confined space of the car, soothing his agitated emotions while simultaneously tempting him even further. The closer she sat beside him, the more intensely he could feel his wolf reacting.

Worse...

Gideon could already feel subtle changes happening within his own body, while his wolf continued acting more abnormally than ever before.

Without even realizing it himself, the moment Gideon settled into his seat, his breathing subtly changed.

He found himself exhaling far more than inhaling, almost as though he was instinctively trying to stop himself from drawing in too much of Ashley’s scent. Yet at the same time, the less he inhaled, the more restless he became, as if every instinct inside him was screaming for more of her fragrance like his very life depended on it.

In the end, Gideon leaned his head lightly against the car window and pretended to look outside at the passing scenery. However, despite acting indifferent on the surface, his peripheral vision continuously trailed Ashley’s every small movement without pause.

Unfortunately, Ashley was not faring any better herself.

The longer she sat beside Gideon inside the confined space of the car, the hotter her body became. It felt as though a fever was slowly overtaking her entire body little by little, causing warmth to spread uncontrollably beneath her skin. Even her breathing became uneven as an unfamiliar tingling sensation continuously coiled inside her lower abdomen.

The realization that her panties were growing wet immediately embarrassed her.

Thankfully, there were no werewolves inside the car.

Otherwise, they would have undoubtedly noticed the increasingly thick scent of her arousal lingering faintly in the air.

Meanwhile, Gideon, who was already silently enduring his own torment, suddenly stiffened.

The moment he inhaled again, he caught a faint whiff of Ashley’s sweet and unmistakably aroused scent within the enclosed space.

His pupils instantly dilated.

At the same time, his wolf became even more restless than before, violently scratching against the mental barrier restraining it as though desperately trying to break free.

As for what exactly his wolf intended to do once it got out... fɾeewebnoveℓ.co๓

Even Gideon himself did not know anymore.

Because his wolf was slowly beginning to lose its mind completely and was no longer listening to him at all.

Gideon slowly let out a shaky breath, his fingers trembling faintly before he reached toward the button beside him and deftly rolled down the car window. Almost immediately, the cold wind rushed inside, dispersing the suffocating scent lingering within the confined space that had been steadily driving him insane.

Only now did Gideon realize that he had essentially lifted a rock only to drop it onto his own foot.

Inviting Ashley to ride in his car with him had seemed like a good idea earlier, yet he had never expected things to escalate into this unbearable situation. Instead of enjoying her company, he now felt more tortured than ever before.

His entire body was growing increasingly hotter by the second, and a certain part of him had already hardened painfully beneath his slacks. Left with no other choice, Gideon subtly shifted his sitting position in an attempt to conceal the obvious bulge forming inside his pants.

The last thing he wanted was for Ashley to think he was some kind of shameless lecher.

"Ash, are you okay?"

Gage could no longer stop himself from asking after noticing the obvious changes in Ashley’s condition. His sharp eyes immediately narrowed as he carefully scrutinized her flushed face before his gaze slowly shifted toward Gideon, who still maintained a cold stone-faced expression despite subtly adjusting his position in his seat from time to time.

At this point, Gage truly did not know what he should think anymore.

Still, his instincts were already screaming at him that something was definitely wrong inside this car.

Even so, although he had a vague suspicion of what might be happening, there was no way he could openly point it out. Doing so would only make Ashley even more embarrassed and restless. Worse, it might unintentionally create more opportunities for Gideon to stay close to her later on.

Because of that, Gage forcibly swallowed back the questions lingering on the tip of his tongue.

Fortunately, Ashley quickly nodded after hearing his concern, signaling that she was fine even though her face remained slightly flushed.

Seeing that, Gage finally chose to remain silent for the time being, though the sharp vigilance in his eyes never lessened in the slightest.

After some time, the cold wind blowing through the open window finally managed to wash away most of the lingering scent inside the car. However, Gideon’s body stubbornly refused to calm down along with it.

The heat trapped beneath his skin only continued intensifying.

A painful tightness had already formed low in his abdomen, making him feel as though he was nearing his limit little by little. Every second spent sitting beside Ashley felt like a form of exquisite torture, forcing him to maintain control while his instincts continuously pushed him toward the edge.

And for perhaps the first time in his entire life...

Gideon actually felt embarrassed.

He had never experienced this kind of helplessness before.

No one had ever affected him to this extent. No matter how beautiful, seductive, or persistent others were in the past, nobody had ever been capable of shaking his control or making him feel as though he was no longer entirely the master of himself.

Yet now, merely sitting beside Ashley was enough to reduce him to this state.

It felt absurd.

Almost as though he had somehow become completely at the mercy of a woman without even realizing it.

In fact, Gideon had the frightening feeling that if Ashley suddenly asked him to kneel before her right now and kiss her feet, he might genuinely stop and "consider" doing it. And that realization alone made him feel even more conflicted and dangerously unstable inside.

"Fuck! Xiberius, what the hell are you insinuating inside my head?!"

Gideon roared furiously inside his mind the moment that outrageous image flashed across his thoughts.

For a split second, he vividly imagined himself kneeling bare-chested before Ashley with only his slacks hanging low on his hips, while Ashley sat elegantly on a chair like a queen looking down at him. And somehow, in that absurd imagination, he was willingly serving her with complete devotion like some obedient dog at her feet.

The mere thought alone made Gideon’s face darken instantly.

He simply could not imagine himself lowering his pride to such an extent.

Yet the worst part was that his wolf seemed completely unbothered by the image. Xiberius was practically acting like a mutt in heat, shamelessly feeding those ridiculous thoughts into his mind without restraint.

As if that was not enough, the image stubbornly refused to disappear afterward, leaving Gideon feeling even more restless than before. Unable to control himself, he unconsciously stole another glance toward Ashley.

She was quietly looking out the window at the passing city lights, completely unaware of the chaos happening inside his head. Several loose strands of hair fell softly along the side of her face, partially hiding her expression and making her look strangely gentle and untouchable beneath the dim lights inside the car. ƒrēewebnoѵёl.cσm

"Stop acting so high and mighty," Xiberius sneered sarcastically with a snort while pacing restlessly inside Gideon’s consciousness. "I know you want to act like a mutt, too. Your pride is just too damn high for you to admit it."

"I don’t," Gideon instinctively denied coldly the moment Xiberius made that accusation.

"Yes, you do..." Xiberius snorted out a low laugh, clearly finding Gideon’s denial amusing rather than convincing.

The reaction only made Gideon’s expression darken further.

However, after realizing how childish it felt to continue arguing back and forth with his own wolf, Gideon ultimately chose to stop responding altogether. He merely pursed his lips tightly while his tongue pressed against the inside of his cheek, silently trying to suppress the growing restlessness consuming him from within.

Fortunately, the cold wind pouring through the open window was gradually helping cool the unbearable heat raging through his body little by little.

Unfortunately...

Xiberius clearly had no intention of giving him any peace.

One shameless and increasingly unholy thought after another was continuously shoved into Gideon’s mind by his wolf, making his temples throb painfully. No matter how much he tried ignoring them, those provocative images and impulses kept resurfacing relentlessly, pushing his already fragile restraint closer and closer to its limit.

"Sir, we’ve arrived."

After what felt like an unbearably long and torturous period of time, Gideon finally heard his assistant’s voice from the driver’s seat.
