"Yiyi, take a look at what you’d like to eat and order directly."
Gu Tingyu handed the menu to Yiyi after sitting down with her.
Yiyi quickly said, "Let’s wait until your friends arrive to order. Besides, I’m okay with eating anything."
Gu Tingyu looked through the menu first, ordered a few dishes Yiyi liked, and added a few specialties of the restaurant, "Alright, let’s prepare these dishes first, we’ll order more when others arrive."
The waiter nodded after taking the menu and went out, unexpectedly bumping into Wei Zixiao and Jinming who had just arrived.
Seeing the two, Gu Tingyu greeted them directly.
"You’ve come!"
Yiyi curiously sized up the newcomers. One had slightly darker skin but retained his handsome features, a very sunny guy; the other, with gold-rimmed glasses, looked cultured and gave off an intellectual vibe.
While Yiyi was observing them, Wei Zixiao and Jinming were also sizing up Yiyi, then walked up with a smile and said, "Tingyu, sis-in-law, sorry we’re late."
"Yiyi, the darker one is Wei Zixiao, the fairer one is Jinming,"
Gu Tingyu introduced the pair to Yiyi.

"Compared to Jinming, you are indeed darker."

Seeing the carefree attitude of Wei Zixiao, Gu Tingyu shook his head and introduced Yiyi to his good friends, "This is your sis-in-law Mo Yiyi, remember to greet her when you see her in the future."
Yiyi felt a bit embarrassed hearing this, but Wei Zixiao and Jinming were very engaging, calling her ’sis-in-law’ throughout the meal, making Gu Tingyu very satisfied.
The dinner was spent in a relaxed and joyful atmosphere.

Wei Zixiao and Jinming waved goodbye to Gu Tingyu and Yiyi.
"Goodbye."
Yiyi smiled and bid them farewell.
As Gu Tingyu walked Yiyi back, she couldn’t help but say, "Your friends are really nice."
"Zixiao is a bit carefree, Jinming is quieter, both have great personalities. Next time if we’re free, we can have another meal together."
Upon hearing this, Yiyi nodded with a smile.
Walking slowly, Gu Tingyu looked affectionately at the girl beside him, her arms swinging, he stepped forward and gently held her hand.
Feeling the warmth in his hand, Yiyi turned to look, seeing Gu Tingyu’s warm smile. She tightened her grip on his hand, her mouth curled upwards, her eyes filled with joy.
Though neither spoke, there seemed to be a sweet scent in the air around them.
After accompanying Yiyi to her door, Gu Tingyu said somewhat reluctantly, "It’ll be half a month before our next meeting. I’ve been busy lately, so I don’t have much free time. I really hate to part with you."
"Gu Tingyu, I hate parting with you too, I’ll miss you."
Yiyi stepped forward and hugged Gu Tingyu.
Sudden warmth made Gu Tingyu’s heart flutter, he finally hugged Yiyi back and whispered in her ear, "Yiyi, wait for my next break."

After talking for a while, Gu Tingyu brought Yiyi in and greeted Ding Yuejun before leaving.
"Tingyu, you’re back."
Gu Tingyu arrived home seeing his mother Yu Qiulan waiting on the sofa.

He had something to discuss with his mother, so he sat beside her, "Mom, Yiyi is your future daughter-in-law. I hope you can be more welcoming to her and her family, rather than keeping a cold attitude."
Yu Qiulan was about to speak when she heard this and her face dropped.
"Tingyu, what do you mean?"
"Mom, I’ve already decided on Yiyi. Grandparents have too, so she’s definitely going to be your daughter-in-law. I wish you’d adjust your attitude so it doesn’t make everyone uncomfortable."
Hearing this made Yu Qiulan’s heart ache with anger.
"Tingyu, mom is only thinking of you. Yunfang is such a good girl, she’s liked you for so many years, why won’t you consider her? You and her are truly meant to be."
"Mom..."

Frustrated, Yu Qiulan spoke angrily, saying some things about Yiyi.
"Look, I told you this before. Yet you still think about that Yunfang from the Shu family. Since Grandpa, Grandma, and Tingyu have decided on Yiyi, you need to accept her as the daughter-in-law and not let your mind wander."
Feeling isolated by everyone, Yu Qiulan felt left out.
Meanwhile, Yiyi was unaware of all this. On Monday, she continued attending school, listening attentively, fully immersed in her studies.
Unexpectedly, when school ended on Friday, Fei Erya came to find her.
"Yiyi, let’s go back together."
