"I’m...I’m sorry, everyone! If only...if only I’d been able to use my powers a little bit more, I could’ve prevented the casualties!" Cried Neo, bowing his head to all of us.
A heavy silence filled the room, no one knowing what to say. Inoka had a dead look in his eyes, after he’d silently healed everyone who’d gotten injured.
Dieter was in a similar state, he looked like he was in shock. Silent tears were streaming down his face...a little while after I defeated the two Demons who I’d been sent to fight, a portal swallowed me up and I found myself in the area where Dieter and his group had been fighting two of the Demons.
But Petra and Leonardo were dead, their bodies laying lifelessly on the ground in pools of their own blood. Dieter was about to be killed right as I arrived, I just barely managed to intervene in time and save him.
I managed to defeat the two Demons quite easily, but the victory rang hollow, it certainly didn’t feel like a win to celebrate, not in the slightest.
"I...I’ve had enough," Suddenly muttered Dieter, an empty look in his eyes as he shakily got back up onto his feet and walked away.
"I don’t blame him, poor kid...," Elise shook her head somberly.
"He has every right to blame me for this...right from the very beginning, everything has been my fault, starting with the scattering of the Meta-Orbs," Remarked Neo as he clenched his fists in frustration.
"Ugh, enough already...you apologizing is getting really annoying!" Snapped X irritably. ƒreeωebnovel.ƈom
"Hey, don’t-...," Began Adelmira.
"No, I’m gonna say exactly what I want to say! Yeah, what happened sucks, three of us died...but the rest of us are still alive, and we wouldn’t be if you hadn’t been here! And besides, the Meta-Orb was more my fault than yours. But I’m not gonna apologize for that, because we probably would’ve ended up in this situation regardless.
Chaos was building themselves up way before the Meta-Orbs were created, and even if they’d somehow been wiped out, Hell probably still would’ve found a way to invade. So there’s no use in pointing fingers or taking blame...all we can do is fight and survive, it’s as simple as that!" She declares emphatically.
"Yeah...yeah, she’s right. Apologizing won’t change a damn thing about any of this...it’s just a waste of breath. Once this is over, we can all apologize for whatever any of us feel we’re to blame for, there’ll be plenty of time afterwards. But it’s pointless right now...we’re better of thinking up a plan of attack and how to resolve this mess.
Every single Demon of Sin and the Thirteen Fiends are dead...the Deities have likely been hunting down as many of the remaining Demons and Devils as they can. This’ll probably be over before long, Hell has already effectively lost. So...what can we do to end this faster?" Surmised Zoraiz objectively.
"Send me out there. But only me...I won’t die so easily, and even if I do, I can still resurrect a few more times, so that’s not a problem. The rest of you have done enough already...there’s no reason to risk your lives any further," I remarked as I stepped forward.
"Woah, hold on, not so fast...I’ll fight too, I can more than hold my own against the leftover Demons," Spoke up Fenris without hesitation.
"I-I won’t do it, I won’t send you out there. I can’t watch anyone else die, it’s just-...," Began Neo stubbornly, abruptly trailing off as his eyes suddenly widened.
Everyone else froze too, as did I...what is this? It...it feels like there’s something in my mind, but I...I can’t explain it, I’ve never felt anything like this before. And then, a voice floated into my head...
"To all mortals in the living world...I am God. I have entered your world along with my army of Angels, there is no longer a reason to fear...all the invaders of Hell will be promptly eliminated by my forces. And to the human who absorbed Satan and claimed his powers...I shall eliminate you personally.
After that, Hell itself will be destroyed, every last trace of that accursed realm shall be erased from existence. The events of the last few years have been unacceptable, the unnaturally high influx of deceased souls threatens to destabilize the order of things. Therefore, I shall set it right."
And with that, the strange sensation in my head faded, all of us silent as we processed what we’d just heard...

Point-of-View: Anarchy/Liling Jin

"Well, this is quite the honor...also, wow, I’d have never guessed that God is a busty MILF type, noice," I laughed in amusement, as the most powerful being in existence descended down from the sky above me.
Damn, she’s hot. Her skin was surreal, an ambiguous complexion that was practically gleaming, almost translucent. Her hair was a glowing, brilliant white, she had golden feathered wings, was adorned in a flowing white and gold dress, and her eyes...they were like rainbows.
And her body, wow...she was tall and slender, with curves in all the right places, with delightful hips and big boobs that looked nice and firm. I think I might be a little bit turned on right now.
"Foolish human, your arrogance will soon be the death of you," Came the icy response.
Yeah, not gonna lie, I might be a little bit scared right now. But a much bigger part of me is super excited about this...of all the ways to go, I can’t think of a more badass way that being literally killed by God.
Of course, I don’t plan on dying here...I’ll strive to kill her, I’m just about the next most powerful being, after all. Well, Aurora might be close if she dies and resurrects a couple more times, but that’s neither here nor there.
This war is over, the Angels will likely wipe out the remaining Demons without a problem. Which means that all the people, be it what’s left of Harmony or just regular, everyday citizens, they all no longer have a reason to fight.
If I fight here and lose, then so be it. It was a good run while it lasted, most of this wouldn’t have happened without me, at least not anytime soon. I’ve had a fucking blast, and no matter how this ends, no one can take that away from me.
On the other hand, if I manage to defeat and kill her, the chaos that’ll ensue in the aftermath will be nothing like anyone has ever seen before! So I’m not just gonna sit back and accept my defeat...I’m prepared for it, sure, but I’m not resigned to it.
"You’re here just to kill one, measly human? I’m honored," I smirked as I let out a slight chuckle.
"You can hardly be called a human anymore. You are simply an abomination...one that cannot be allowed to exist," She replied, before suddenly, the entire area in front of me turned a bright white.
Holy...! Is...is all that one big light energy blast? Damn, that’s impressive! I then formed a massive Chaos Blast and fired it forward, busting a hole through the wall of light.
"You’re gonna have to do a whole lot better than that if you want to kill me, lady!" I exclaimed, before firing out a barrage of Destruction Rays at her.
She rapidly flew across to evade my attacks, easily dodging them. Wow, she’s pretty fast. Still, though...
"This is a futile effort, you are simply delaying the inevitable," She remarked, as she canceled out my attacks with light blasts.
"Yeah, maybe...but then, how come you’re taking the trouble to avoid all my attacks, hm? If I hit you with one of these, just how much damage will I inflict? I gotta say...I’m pretty damn eager to find out," I smirked in response...
